Rainbow Sherbet Ice Cream Milk Tea
Jill O.

I'm happy to see boba/poke places starting to pop up in the area. I've not eaten in at this place, and have only ever ordered from DoorDash. It's a perfectly fine meal. The prices are a little high for what you get (tiny shrimp, $5.25 for a small sliver of cake). That being said, the poke has pretty generous portions of each add-in that you select. I've never been left hungry when ordering a bowl here! The ingredients have always been fresh and tasty. I've tried their brown sugar milk tea as well as the Rainbow Ice Cream Milk Tea. I agree with other reviews that it's sweet but, that's how I take my tea so no complaints here. The mix of milk tea and rainbow sherbet is an odd mix that I don't know that I'd order again, but it was pretty! The brown sugar boba layered cake (while a bit much $) is also delicious and worth a try. I'd go to this place for a quick and easy lunch.

Royal Bubble Tea

I stopped here for lunch this afternoon and was very excited to try the bubble tea at this place. Plus it's just around the corner from my place. The shop is a bit small. But you can order at the counter or the machine. There is a sign on the counter about their tea being very sweet. I got a small Royal Bubble Tea with Tapioca pearls. I got 30% sugar, which tasted perfect. It was just lightly sweetened. The cup itself held a good amount of the tea. I can't imagine how big the large is compared to the small. I also got a shrimp poke bowl with cucumbers, brown rice, soucy mayo, and sesame seeds. It was really good. It kind of looked like a work of art with the spicy mayo and sesame seeds drizzled on top. There are so many options you can choose from to mix in your bowl. Overall, I really enjoyed the tea and the bowl. It got pretty busy after I ordered, so the line almost curved out the door and I had to wait quite a bit for my order. Since they just opened, it's understandable while they work out the timing of everything. I'll definitely be back!

Poke Bowl (vegetarian)

This place can get a bit busy inside, so order ahead if you can. I do find the prices a bit high, but they're really the only game in town, so they don't have any competition to worry about (yet). They are a great stop for some fun and tasty drinks. The poke bowl is rather large, and I can definitely get multiple meals out of it - I wish it came in a smaller size since it tastes best fresh. It's great that you can get the bowl totally vegetarian!

A boba/rolled ice cream/poké bowl joint. So I guess this means Highland has finally arrived? Jokes of culinary entrepreneurship diversity aside, this place is pretty nice. You can order from the automated kiosks or the counter as you walk in, or from their website if you're just picking up. I ordered the mango yakult. It was tasty and refreshing, but perhaps a bit too sweet. You can request less sugar in the beverages and I do recommend it because these are definitely some teeth-melting concoctions they're serving up here. And I mean that in a good way. If you've never seen Thai rolled ice cream before, it's pretty fascinating to watch. They pour milk, cream, and other ingredients onto a frozen ice pan and rolled up into a cup. As odd as it may sound and look, you can't argue with the delicious results. I have a feeling this place will do well with summer just starting to heat up.

I was super excited to have a bubble tea place closer to home, but I found myself to be really disappointed. I got the royal bubble tea and it tasted like watered down iced coffee. The boba did taste fresh and I enjoyed that a lot, but the royal tea itself wasn't good. Additionally, I bought one of their layered cakes and absolutely hated it. I thought it was super sweet and it was very unappealing to me after the first bite. I think with time, they could definitely improve their recipes. However, I am hoping the next time I'm there I'm not as disappointed.

We are so excited to have the place in town! We have only been for drinks and desserts, but everything was wonderful. I can't wait to try the poke bowls! We had the strawberry layer cake, which was so light and delicate! Perfection! The mango smoothie, so refreshing and huge! The Oreo rolled ice cream! It was incredible! All their rolled ice creams are so fun and whimsical. My kids loved it! And a Royal boba tea, super good! I love that you can customize the sugar level of everything! I also like ordering on the kiosk because you get to see all the customizations and options. However you can order at the counter too. The poke looks to have sooo many options, I can't wait to try it!

A small place in a strip mall. Cute decor when you go in and was greeted upon arrival. A small menu to choose from and I love the fact they have poke bowls.I ordered a small brown sugar boba drink. Was excited to try it but it was horrible. Tasted like ginger was put in it. Not normally sweet like how other place would have it. I would have taking it back but I was already headed to chicago. The only thing that saved them was the cookie dough macaroons. Probably one of the better macaroons I've had in a while. I also had the strawberry but I will pass on the one next time, not my taste. I might ,might not be back, will see.

Yesterday, I convinced my wife that we should have Poke Bros. for lunch and I'm glad I did…read more Because we were both off, she forced me to drive her around so she could run a bunch of errands I needed her to complete. We went to Highland, back to Schererville, to Dyer, and back to Schererville, before heading back to Highland and Schereville, one more time. I actually had our route all planned out with lunch in the middle, but whilst traveling from points a to d, she would continue to add sub sections .1 and .2, to each. It didn't help that the dongle I use to connect my phone to my car's aux jack isn't an Apple product. I'm not suggesting that Apple products are superior, rather I'm suggesting that Apple doesn't play nice and often updates their software as to intentionally turn its nose up at its contemporaries, but because it was working correctly at the start of the day, I basked in the excitement of seeing her face as we toured the tri-town to my newest Spotify playlist. It spanned from DURY to Youth of Today, to The Old 97's, and then back to "Old New York's own," Agnostic Front. As expected, before long it failed, prompting me to set the radio dial to ranchero music. Full transparency, I have no idea what any of the songs were about, but in my opinion, it always makes for the best background music. If you don't believe me, try it next time your forced to endure terrestrial radio. Side note: Our 11 year old daughter slept in the car the entire day after retuning from a "sleep-over" the night before. Fortunately for her she was able to muster enough energy to patronize Bath and Bodywork's, but just barley. Either way, she was too tired to eat, so I was spared purchasing her a poke bowl to waste. By any metric, one point in "dad win column." Although my entire day was spent driving around , I eventually get to check out Poke Bros. We ordered online, which was easy and efficient. I chose the Johnny Utah Salmon*, Avocado, Edamame, Cucumber, Masago, OG Sauce, Sriracha Aioli The wife selected the Hula Shrimp, Green Onion, Cucumber, Crab Stick, Avocado, Masago, OG Sauce, Sriracha Aioli, Coconut Ginger Both were amazing! I ate all of my and .25% of her's. She opted to use chopsticks while I went with a plastic fork. I feel like chopsticks are inappropriate for car dining, but I digress. We ate in the car to the romantic sounds of a bratty child's snore entangled with Spanish crooning drizzled over accordion music. 10/10

Poke Hale was our favorite and yet somewhere along the way it fell off our radar as places to eat. Well, we are back!!! Our order can be easily made online. Hubs and I go with the Build-your-own Bowl. A regular bowl allows 2 proteins and a large bowl allows 3 proteins. We can have a reasonable amount of adds in and toppings. We started with appetizers of edamame, shrimp tempura, and Crab Rangoon. All were really good, there was a good amount of edamame for the order. Everything was fresh and hot! The portions of the poke bowls were generous and filling. The Hale Ginger dressing was SO DELICIOUS!!! Service was friendly and quick. We placed our order online and picked up. The woman at the counter was appreciative of our order, doubled checked to make sure we weren't missing anything, and thanked us for choosing their business. She was so nice! The inside and outside were clean and comfortable. There are tables for dine in. Plenty of space for people to stand without bumping into each other while waiting to order or waiting for our order. We will certainly be back! Not only is this such a well priced meal, it was absolutely delicious! *No pics - I forgot as I was really hungry and it was all really good!
