This time I was on a solo trip and managed to snag a spot by booking early in the morning. It happened to be the last night of their Great Gatsby theme, and they executed it perfectly, from the details to the overall atmosphere. I love that they rotate themes instead of sticking with the same setup every time; it keeps things exciting and gives people a reason to keep coming back. The drinks and food were both top-notch. Every single person I interacted with- bartenders, servers, and hosts- was amazing, super friendly, and helpful. Can't wait to go back and see what the next theme brings.

We were there on Sunday, October 3rd around 3pm. We asked who the owners were because we were really impressed with the place and thought they might be the same owners as another location we had visited. There was absolutely no bad intention behind the question. The male bartender told us that no one name drops anymore. I understood what he was saying and was more than willing to move on. But then I asked him if the bar offered whiskey sours and he responded, "You really don't know what you're doing here and what you want." I was honestly so taken back by that comment. I don't normally stay quiet when someone speaks to me disrespectfully, but I was so caught off guard that I didn't even know what to say. Before that, he had also yelled out to the host that she didn't need to worry because we didn't know the owners and that she could relax. The whole interaction was completely unnecessary and made us feel very uncomfortable. We came in wanting to enjoy the atmosphere and have a good time. Instead, we left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. There is a way to speak to customers, even if you feel they are asking questions you don't like. We did nothing to deserve that kind of attitude. The Blind Rabbit may be a great place, but unfortunately, the way we were treated by this bartender completely ruined the experience for us. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, ours was extremely disappointing.

On the way to our reservation in the Captain's Quarters, our hostess gave us a little tour of the main room and even pointed out the bathrooms for later. Once we sat down, we met our bartender, Drew, who was fantastic. He walked us through the different menus, explained the food and cocktails, and really added to the experience throughout the night. I'm normally a whiskey drinker, so I started with the Southeast Spice Trade while my girlfriend ordered the Pineapple Whipped Colada. Both were delicious, but half the fun was watching Drew make them. You could really see the amount of care that went into the craft and presentation of every drink. For food, we ordered the chicken katsu and ahi poke nachos. I was especially excited when the nachos arrived and I realized they were made with wonton chips. I'm a sucker for wonton chips, so those were an immediate win. We obviously couldn't stop at one round of drinks, so next came the Tarobi Colada and Zombie King. Drew told us a little about the history of the Zombie King and gave us a lesson on rum, so I had to try it, plus it came in one of the coolest mugs I've ever seen. The Zombie King was easily my favorite drink of the night. The flavor was fantastic from beginning to end and dangerously smooth. I didn't even realize how much it had hit me until I stood up. Even leaving was part of the experience. We finally checked out the bathroom and the door has what feels like TEN different locks on it. It genuinely felt like I was locking myself inside the bathroom of an old pirate ship. Between the storytelling, incredible atmosphere, Captain's Quarters, food, cocktails, and especially the service from Drew, this was such a memorable night. Strong Water completely commits to its theme without sacrificing the quality of the drinks. Absolutely an experience worth having, and we can't wait to come back.

The restaurant seemed severely understaffed and disorganized, which made what should have been a simple meal take far too long. There was no host stand and no clear check-in process, so getting seated was confusing from the beginning. We also noticed there were no food runners, which seemed to contribute to a lot of the issues throughout the evening. Of the items we tried to order, 9 were unavailable yes, nine) -- 2 cocktails and 7 food items. Even after finally finding things that were available, we consistently had incorrect items brought to our table**. The biggest issue was the wait. It took approximately 1.5 hours just to receive our cocktail and sandwich order. To make matters worse, food from tables where guests had left over an hour earlier was still sitting on the table next to us for more than an hour. It really highlighted how overwhelmed and disorganized the operation was. I do want to give credit to our server. She was very nice, apologetic, and clearly doing her best in a difficult situation.She even offered us complimentary cocktails, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, there were clearly larger operational issues beyond what she could control.
