Rony goes above and beyond to ensure that a customer's needs and expectations are met (and exceeded). His work is thorough and meticulous. Something that's not commonly seen these days. I had some unfortunate impact-related damage to the back corner of my car, which was a hard spot to fix (since it was on a contoured area of metal). Rony provided a quick and detailed assessment and performed the following work: 1. Pulled out the dented metal (approx. 70%) to reduce the depth. 2. Grinded and sanded the entire area. 3. Filled the remaining dent, shaping the area to match the contours. 4. Priming and sanding 5. Final painting (color matched) and sanding 6. Surface sanding and buffing I was amazed that the area was perfectly repaired and blended--a much better result than most body shops could provide. This is the part that matters the most, as Rony is a true craftsman. He won't just "fix" an issue, but will provide the skills and patience to make sure that it's done right. This talent and skill is rare in auto repair. In addition to the primary fix, he also helped me improve the oxidized paint on my car (hood and roof), fine-sanding and buffing to help restore the finish. The car now looks 10 years newer! In summary, Rony provides a detailed plan, puts in the time & effort, has the creative skill to solve the most challenging issues, and does it all at a fair & reasonable rate. I've been coming to Tod at Bay Auto Body since 2007, and in nearly 20 years, he's never let me…read moredown. This isn't one of those corporate shops with marble floors and fancy receptionists. It's a real workshop--honest, hardworking, and run by people who are the salt of the earth. Tod is a master of color. I still remember years ago when he had me bring in my 2010 Lexus at 8:30 AM sharp just so he could match the paint under the specific angle of the morning sun. You just don't find that kind of obsession with perfection anymore. Most recently, while working on my Acura, he uncovered a massive layer of old Bondo hidden under the paint from a previous owner's hack job that I never even knew existed (even though it was a CPO car!). Instead of just covering it back up, Tod stripped it to the metal to fix it the right way. Whether it's a tricky White Pearl or a metallic finish, Tod is the only person I trust in the Bay Area.
