Not impressed by this place. It is always ridiculously packed (even during non-peak hours) and while there are plenty of cardio machines, theres only one of all the weight machines, which means you'll spend 30 minutes of your workout just waiting. There is also little to no space to do free weights or stretches. Towel service is only good if patrons actually use them and don't just throw them all over the floors or leave them on machines after use. I find dripping sweat on machines all the time. The parking situation is atrocious and usually involves circling the lot or parking on the curb on the daily. And there's no wifi to stream music. I have loved my experiences at other 24 Hour Fitnesses, but not this one. 2 stars for always friendly staff and the shiny newness of appearance, but I really hate feeling crowded in next to strangers (literally) when I work out. read more

I love this place! The front desk greeters are awesome! They are kind and typically greet you with your name. The locker rooms are clean, and overall the whole gym is pretty clean! They have a nice big room for group classes and is open to anybody during times there are no classes. Seriously, the best 24 I have ever been to. The ONLY reason this is not receiving a 5 star review is because my wife and I were working out and one of the trainers who was working out came up behind his gf who was a trainer and currently in a session with a client and was kissing her neck&cheek and holding her for a good 30 seconds. If you're not training someone I could care less. But when you're with the client, they paid for that hour for your expertise and don't need an uncomfortable 30 seconds watching your PDA. Even if the client didn't mind, there are plenty of others watching in the gym and it's unprofessional. Given I have seen it once but from a business perspective it can only take one time to lose a client. Remember, tons of people never go back to a restaurant because of one bad experience even if the restaurant is rated highly. Overall though, it's a good place to workout! read more

I started going here about a year ago since it is close to my work. I was a longtime member of the YMCA previously, but the Northshore YMCA is really more of a daycare center so I wouldn't go there. This gym is quite good. The facilities are newish, they have tons of top-notch cardio machines (though their Schwinn spin bikes are crap), the free-weight area is enormous and well-equipped, the strength machines are good-quality and generally available with no wait, the steam room and sauna are nice, the pool seems to be free a lot. Compared to the Northgate 24, this one is MUCH cleaner, but it is still dirtier than a good gym should be. And while it is big, there's almost no free space to just lay down and stretch, or even to stand up and stretch for that matter. You are always in someone's way no matter where you go. The gym and the fitness studio are always occupied during afternoon/evening times. It's very bro-y. This gym is overwhelmingly the turf of muscley young jocks who are there to get jacked. I don't have anything against them really, but they are part of a pervasive culture of toxic masculinity at this gym that is reinforced by the attitudes of the staff, by the constant barrage of sports on the many, many televisions, by the "store" that only sells weird chemically-derived protein bars and powders at crazy prices, by the homophobic hide-under-a-towel protocol for changing in the men's locker room, by the enormous jacked-up pickup trucks that park up on the curbs in the parking lots, by the guys who come into the sauna fully clothed and blasting loud music in their headphones, by the groups of teenage boys taking shirtless selfies in the locker room oblivious of other people's privacy... it's pretty much everywhere. And that's not necessarily something that anyone is doing wrong, it's just how this gym is, and not all gyms are like that. I wish could feel like I belong here but I know I never will. That said, the staff are generally friendly. When I have asked them to turn the TV in the locker room off of MMA fighting, they do it. They say hi and bye to me when I pass the front desk. The club is clean and new, clearly a consumer has to appreciate that. Knowing that the facility will soon be packed with new members on special rates is disturbing though. The club is small- free weight area, cardio area and locker room. The facility is not big enough to accommodate future membership levels. Dress code for pool, spa, sauna and steam room needs to be posted. It's okay for employees to address attire with membership- this SHOULD be common practice. We're going to start off at neutral 3 Stars and add/subtract accordingly: A. +1 for friendly staff B. +1 clean facility C. +1 enough cardio equipment (most of the time) D & E tied together D. -1 not enough workout equipment as it gets crazy busy during the typical times so then you're constantly having to wait or get real creative, certain types of people don't mind spending 2-3 hours at a time, but that ain't me E. -1 PARKING! They probably did not anticipate how many people would enthusiastically join this location, as it is a great location, but it's getting ridiculous now. You have cars being left wherever. Completely ruins the motivation when you're having to fight for spot. Hopefully they can somehow expand this at a later time because whoever came up with forecasting potential customers, went way too conservative. Note: I do not use these extras, but they have them - pool, sauna, basketball court, misc. classes Edited: I realized I was being dramatic over the parking issue and could not in good consciousness leave it at 3 Stars. I'm writing this review to note that the front-desk staff at this particular 24 is incredible, and probably the friendliest group around. While I don't know any of them personally, I always see how personable they are as they welcome customers who are coming in and out of the club. I'm sure it's part of their job, but it genuinely does get noticed. I come here pretty often, and it's the best 24 in the area in my opinion for its cleanliness, full gym, size, and equipment. This is a fairly new club but seem to have issues with their equipment. The pool heater is not working again, was told fourth time, the video for the cardio machines still is not working and its been awhile. Last up date is waiting for part for pool, and money approved for cardio fix by corporate however nothing seems to be happening. If your looking for a gym might consider YMCA nearby or LA fitness until this place can get its act together. read more

When I signed up, the sales associate assured me I was under no contract, zero initiation fee, and no yearly charges. After 2 years, I check my credit card statement and see they've been slowly raising my fees by $1 or $2 a month. Not a big deal since I technically wasn't contract, but then I started getting charged an annual fee that no one had told me about, then they charged me another annual fee 7 or 8 months later. I decided to cancel my membership since I had found a cheaper gym, and they continued to bill me. When I asked for a refund, I had to wait 3 weeks before I decided to call my credit card company to file a charge back. MONTHS later, they charged me again. I was told the same thing and had to file a chargeback and request a stop pay from them. I was originally thinking of going back to them during the summer and after college, but I'll stick to Golds or LA fitness from now on. read more

This is probably my favorite gym now! It's really big with a big variety of machines and equipment. Their cardio equipment is on the 2nd floor, along with the class room and cycling room. There are TVs hanging from the ceiling right in front of the ellipticals which is convenient. They also have a basketball court/volleyball court. Their swimming area is really nice. It has a sauna and steam room too! Me and my friend usually go in the hot tub, then the swimming pool, and then the steam and sauna room for the last part. The swimming pool only has 3 lanes so there's a wait for it sometimes. One time we waited about 30 minutes. :p read more

This gym was great when it first opened but has steadily gone down hill. It is really dirty (about an inch of dirt on top of the squat racks) and since they discontinued the towel service, nothing is ever wiped down. There used to be a wide variety of classes but now there are no evening spin classes (despite a separate room designated for this) and no evening yoga, pilates or HIIT classes. The cardio machines are upstairs and even with a large fan, it feels like you are running in a sauna. Apparently the person who designed this gym didn't realize that heat rises? Despite the filth and lack of classes, the dues steadily go up. On the hunt for a new gym! read more

I joined 24-hour fitness when they first opened specifically for the pool, after having bad experiences at other clubs that allowed kids to splash and play in swim lanes at all hours of the day. Sadly, I rarely used the pool because they kept the temperatures so cold, I couldn't tolerate it. Occasionally their showers didn't have hot water either. They have a ton of machines and some fun classes, but I couldn't justify the expense since I wasn't using the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. read more

Great new location. Bad parking during peak, sometimes you can't even get into the gym because there is no parking, and well over 5 other cars driving around waiting for a spot to open up. Easily worth minus 1 star. They need to add more. Plenty of weights and training equipment, although it does get packed during peak times. The Redmond location is better for having a little more breathing room overall. Beautiful large and nice basketball court. Lots of people playing throughout the week. Monday at 6pm is the busiest time. All 24 Hour Fitness locations suck at replacing basketballs / nets on a decent schedule, so no deductions there. I just wish corporate would make it policy to have better equipment. I bring my own at all times, because the house balls are not worth using. In general, well done. read more

OK I have tried more than one of the locations and now think I can submit a worthy review. The layout is pretty good in this building. Different equipment is separated and more clearly organized. I like that the different machines are squared off so that you are not all forced to look across an extremely busy gym. I find this layout less distracting and more conducive to long workouts. You can step away from busy areas and not be distracted by the same things. However, the check in desk is still kind of lame. It relies on constant attentiveness of the staff which leads to a kind of bull dog attitude. More importantly the towels are tucked into the back and a patron can easily walk right by without picking up their towel. I think the towels should be intentionally placed on the way to the locker room. This gym still lacks the truly well organized layout of some other gyms I have been a member of. All the equipment except for a few are the same color and pretty much all look the same. It would be better to color code. I also am not really sure that the resistance machines are that good; because they all move and rely partly on the weight of the human body I do not get as good of an extension. Finding myself stopped by the motion of the machine before fully extending on the drop. sauna, steam room, hot tub, and pool. Pool deck has shower. The parking lot is big enough for most of the time. I don't really understand the loose rocks its paved but then you park on all these loose rocks. You know those are going to damage the paint job on your car. If any get kicked up at all its just bad. Also the entry and exit are not great and you have to pull out onto a 35 mph where a lot of people do 40-45 mph. read more

Wanted to join Gym and visited few of the around. This is the one that I don't want to choose. Reasons are: 1. It calls itself "Super sports Club" but I don't find a reason why so? What does this club have that other competitors don't? If you compare the price here VS other clubs and facilities+equipments, this is definitely a "NO" for me. 2. Too much expensive and old equipments. Almost all the equipments has worn out handles, smells bad and not enough equipments. Too much crowded 3. Front desk staff are not very friendly and did not respond very good. When I visited other clubs, they were super friendly. 4. Steam room and Spa are for all genders, if you care this. Finally I joined nearby gym that has new equipments, lower rates, friendly staff and not very far from my house. read more

Our son has been encouraging us to join for a while now. I just recently joined, was waiting for my retirement. Now I have free time to go at non-peak hours. I also signed up my husband, my son, and my mother. They waived the joining fee. And you have to prepay 1st and last month right upfront. Personal trainers are extra. I sign up for the year, and 3 other in my family are month-month. I hope to get my money worth. ~$40/month per person commitment. Still debating on personal trainer....($60/hr). Though I hear it is worth it. Though I wish that would be included in the monthly fees....lol. This place is a year old, nice and new...very close to home. Lots of parking, wide open spaces, tons of machines. Has yoga and Zumba and silver sneakers classes and others...though not as many as the YMCA. We used to belong to the Y. They are much cheaper for family but didn't like the crowd. And the hours are not as convenience...this place is truly 24 hours. I wonder how many had left the Y and joined this instead? Feel kinda guilty, the Y was "ok" and had that "community feel". My mother (74) loves the pool, the jacuzzi. I like the steam room. We enjoyed the Aqua class, great group workout for elderly. If you are of younger generation and are looking to be seen, this may disappoint you, especially in the pool area. My husband and son love the basketball area, specially early morning. I like it so far, it's only been a week. And I'm not an exercise freak (yet). I hope to be soon. read more

MY WORST FEARS HAVE BEEN REALIZED!!! The gym has gotten more run down since my review a year ago. Members continue to spit their gum out in the walkway and parking lot, it is dense with gum. Don't you care about your gym? Machines are breaking down and not being fix i.e. I reported the 6th AMT machine from the top of the stairs broken 3 times over the course of a month and it still hasn't been fixed. It doesn't turn on, but it seems to have fallen on 3 deaf ears. Manager(s), in case you read this, the 8th and 12th AMT machines are broken also, the incline number gets stuck on either 1 or 2 no matter what you set it to. The base of machines, upstairs and down, need a good wiping, all lockers could be wiped down with an antiseptic wipe especially the inside of locker 11 upstairs which is full of dried milk. The base of the black fencing in the basketball court could be wiped down. The gym is getting old and needs more than just the routine maintenance. It needs a good spring cleaning. Terrible. Was transferred to the Bothell gym after the Totem Lake location closed. I've been asking them to add step classes or just any other (non-weight) classes to the schedule so that it's similar to the Totem Lake location, particularly because the only reason my sister, husband and I joined was for the classes there. The requests have fallen on deaf ears. Not only that, but they have now cancelled two more classes much to the disappointment of the attendees. When we talked to the operations manager, Christina, she said that there was nothing she could do, and it was all the fault of the group exercise manager, Janelle, who was responsible for the scheduling of all the gyms in the area. She also said that Janelle "had a beef" with one of the step instructors at Totem Lake, which is why "Janelle didn't give him a class here". Christina said she urged Janelle to add step classes but Janelle refused. Who knows what's going on internally, but it sounds sloppy. Basically they don't care about the members here, perhaps because membership is very full. (the parking lot is always pain-in-the-a$$ full - always people parked illegally next to curbs.) If you're only looking for equipment, it's a very nice gym. The teachers in the few classes that they do offer are all excellent. The problems (at least for me) are the class schedule being so sparse and that they really don't give a s*&t about member feedback. After emailing them twice and talking to the operations manager, not only have I not received a reply, but I've been stonewalled. I'm currently looking for another gym to attend. (Hopefully downtown Bothell will get a new gym of some kind. With all the construction and residential/commercial opportunities there, a gym in that location would be huge hit.) read more

We were considering signing up for a 24 hour fitness location but wanted to see the facility before committing. The Bothell location is the closest. I read their reviews and had mixed feelings about cleanliness and if the water-related amenities truly worked, seems that a lot of people complained of that. Which was weird because it is a newer location. So my husband and I stepped in one evening and asked to just see the facility. We were told that we cannot do that unless we sign up for the trial membership (3 days I think). To do that you have to provide their system with a lot of personal information. Since I was not convinced we would signed up, I was not comfortable giving them that. Also, many reviewers complained of not being able to cancel their membership when it expired, I did not want that problem either. We were told we cannot see the facility otherwise because of liability. I get it, you don't want somebody to sue you because they tripped on a stair during the visit but a simple liability release form would have sufficed and did not need to contain my birthday and other personal info. So we were not allowed to see the facility... what a way to win customers over and compensate for the bad reviews you have! We went to the Lynnwood one where there was no problem to get a quick tour and no paperwork required and we signed up there. Which makes me wonder what does Bothell have to hide that a simple walk-through is forbidden unless they lock you in a membership, even a trial one? Gives more weight to the bad reviews. Bottom line, Bothell missed on signing up a long term customer customer and gained another bad review. First impression is worthy of a negative star. read more

A year ago I would have given this place four, maybe five stars. Now though, I feel irritated almost every time I go. I joined this facility so that I could swim after lifting and cardio. It's a gorgeous fitness center, with high ceilings, plenty of equipment (free weights, cardio and resistance machines) a good selection of classes, towel service and nicely laid out with lots of space. Now, this isn't a "premium" club but it is at the top for it's class of facility, and you pay for it. For those premium dues I expect the building to be clean, the equipment to work properly and the staff to act like they give a rip. What I've found though is the minimum wage staff, for the most part, doesn't care (why should they). Only within the last month have I seen the staff, who are usually stuck at the front desk folding towels, going around gym cleaning things up. When the equipment breaks down, it remains out of order for an extended length of time. Towel service means that the muscle-heads just leave their towels where they drop them. The pool has been out of order for weeks twice in the last year, both times for heater problems. "Swim suits only" in the co-ed spa area means there is a constant stream of wannabe male underwear models in the sauna and steam room parading around the pool. Yesterday I watched one idiot walk into the sauna in his baggy Jockey shorts (not boxers) and begin throwing his leg up on the four foot high protective guard around the heater and start doing an exaggerated stretching routine. The two women in the sauna were out of there within a few seconds with a couple of guys following shortly after. And the rules about no shoes in the steam room and sauna, good luck with that. There is no training for new members on gym etiquette. People sit on the machines for fifteen minutes or more (while other members have to make adjustments to their routines), doing ten or more sets of a single exercise while checking their phone in between. As for the members who leave puddles around the gym and think their sweat don't stink, well guess again. A little effort and this gym could be a crown jewel in the organization but I don't see that happening. Like most fitness companies, this ones in it for the money - sell, sell, sell. read more

I used to work out at the Redmond super sport branch for about three years, but ended that membership when I moved down to southern CA. When I came back to Seattle, I reactivated my membership at the Totem Lake branch until the ceiling started to literally cave in on it's patrons. Once the building in Totem Lake was shut down, I was one of the hundreds lucky enough to be grandfathered into the Bothell super sport gym. The extra commute wasn't an issue for me, since I consider the Bothell branch to be the best 24 hour gym in the state. One of the reasons I didn't reactivate my membership at the Redmond super sport was because it was simply too crowded. All of my 45 minute lift sessions turned into two hours as I often had to wait for weights. What I enjoy most about the Bothell 24, is that they have everything from a pool to a basketball court, as well as nearly every machine you could think of. All of the weights are spread out evenly across the floor plan and it's only as crowded as having to work in sets between one other person at most. All of the staff were also incredibly friendly, aside from the guy who does memberships and finances. I would recommend this gym to anybody, especially if you like to hoop. There's also a lot of decent pick up games on the basketball court. Overall, I would rate this gym as only second to the IMA in the entire state. Once I move out of my apartment and stop working out in my community gym, I'll probably get another membership here. Hopefully by then there'll be gloves and a punching bag like the one in Redmond. I started here about 7 months ago, and in that time I've seen multiple pieces of equipment break and never get repaired. This gym is also very crowded. I switched my workouts to early mornings because it's impossible to find parking or a machine in the evening. However this morning before 6am there were only a few treadmills open...... As others have said the parking lot here is a nightmare when it's busy. People are super aggressive because there are zero spots open, and people begin parking along the sides of the medians so it makes it really hard to see when looking for a spot. I've seen questionable behavior from trainers here so I don't utilize their training services. I spend about the first 5 minutes trying to connect to their shitty WiFi, and don't even bother trying to take a class, they're also overly crowded with some really aggressive people. Honestly for the amount of people at this gym and the price of the memberships, there's no reason for this gym to be run so poorly. So far the staff have been friendly, but I don't deal with them much. I'll probably find a new gym once my contract is up. read more

Theres always cardio machines available, the staff are really friendly, and the amenities are great, pool, sauna, and steam room. And they have huge schedule of classes to choose from. I would recommend they keep it a little cleaner, the floors in the women's changing room are always dirty but some slippers can solve that problem. The rest of the facility is clean. read more

After being a member of this gym for 8 months now, I feel I've given it plenty of opportunities to change my mind on what I think about this place. Before going to get a membership here, read this review and really think about what you're getting in to- This place has done a TERRIBLE job at managing the capacity of memberships, and an even worse job of managing the gym during it's busy hours (which is basically any time between 6am-9pm). More often than not, you will be waiting 10+ minutes for equipment. One of the most frustrating things for me is that they rope off a big section of the gym for personal training sessions during some of the busiest hours, even if there is nobody using that area. Even if you want to only use dumbbells, there's no space because of how crowded it gets. I often don't feel comfortable at this gym at all because there's a person within 2 feet of me at all times. Yet every single day this place still pushes it's members to refer their friends and get more people to join. Why? So I can have a person within inches of me at all times during a workout? Sometimes this place can be even more crowded than a Beyonce concert. And don't even get me started on the parking situation- people resort to parking on the curbs and boxing each other in because of the lack of planning/management of those rushes. My boyfriend and I both have memberships, and were given a deal for signing up together during a "no initiation fee" period. The catch? Out of nowhere we were charged $200 after 4-5 months, and when we asked about the charge we were simply told that our contract states that they can basically charge whatever annual fees they want. I could buy my own gym equipment and start my own gym for less than the amount of money this place has taken from us. While I am serious about lifting weights, I'm not obnoxiously loud like some lifters can be. I respect equipment. However, there has to be some sort of intensity in a gym. This gym lacks ANY sort of intensity. During one of the busy hours when parts of the gym were roped off, I was told I couldn't use the rubber plates because they were in the personal training area. So, instead, I had to deadlift with hex plates (which are absolutely terrible and shouldn't exist). Given that these aren't rubber, they make noise when they hit the ground. After one set, I was told by an employee that I had to stop making noise with the weights, or put the weights on mats. Well, the mats put the weight a good inch off the ground, so I requested a third one for where I stand, which they gave to me after having to explain why I wanted it. There may be one or two personal trainers that are decent, but the majority that I see are terrible. One trainer was having their client doing random exercises on the smith machine, and demonstrated the exercises using painful-to-watch form. Some of the things I see trainers having their clients do gives me nightmares at night. Stop trying to have people balance on bosu balls on one foot while simultaneously doing bicep curls and holding their breath. These poor people are buying in to what the trainers are saying/doing because they don't know any better, and the gym should feel ashamed for teaching such terrible habits. I've watched employees let people in at night who don't have memberships, yet during the day I've been asked to sign back in after telling staff I'm running to my car to grab headphones. At night the employees can often be found fooling around with members of the gym and basically anyone can walk in and out of the place. Basically, if you're serious about getting fit, lifting weights, or serious about any aspect of fitness at all- do not sign on with this place. There's no intensity, they play Justin Bieber over the speakers, and they whine if you make any noise whatsoever. The equipment is decent, there's a pool/sauna/steamroom/hottub... But still not enough to outweigh the horrific frustrations caused by all the other factors. read more
