I'm a reformer Pilates girl, so the Xformer was a bit of an adjustment for me. But all of the instructors are super awesome in helping me use the Xformer properly. The best part? The playlists! It's so much fun and really helps you get into the zone. The whole facility is super clean with lockers and a great bathroom with everything you need before or after class. There's tons of free parking too-- making it super easy and convenient. I loved my experience so much that I even bought a pair of biker shorts with the cut + flow logo and new grip socks as a little souvenir. I can't wait to come back to Cut + Flow!

Ive personally only taken 1 Xformer and a handful of yoga classes. I like that there's a variety of instructors with different styles. One thing to note is that it doesn't get hot enough in yoga to my liking- temperature also depends on each instructor. The locker area and bathroom/showers are also pristine! Cut and Flow sells grippy socks and lululemon clothes in the front. Don't forget to bring your own grippy socks to your first Xformer class, or you can purchase one at the studio. Their new client special is a great deal. One unlimited month for $99 which includes a free pair of grippy socks and free mat/towel rental. As of 9/11/24 there's also Xformer instructor in training classes which cost $15 per class! A drop in Xformer class typically cost $35.

After a baby immediately followed by a pandemic, I found myself in the worst shape of my life. I was miserable and my fitness had hit rock bottom. I was making all sorts of excuses and then one day, a random ad on Instagram caught my eye. Maybe it was desperation, maybe it's because I'm spontaneous, but I couldn't shake it. I signed up for a consultation with PP that moment and instantly felt a sense of commitment. That first step was the hardest - admitting I needed help to get myself back - but I no longer had an excuse. I meant with Jimmy and was emotional as I admitted that I didn't know who I was anymore and acknowledged I didn't even recognize myself - but I felt safe. There was no judgement, but something clicked. I felt an instant connection and a sense of community - I wasn't broken beyond fixing....I wasn't alone on my journey. There was hope! I've been going to PP for about three months now and my only regret is not finding them sooner. The difference is apparent - both physically and mentally. Jimmy, Bryce, Ellen - they are THE best. I look forward to my gym routine - Jimmy holds me accountable and Coach Bryce is so good at pushing me to do my best, always very attentive with providing tips to maximize my workouts. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for the team at Progressive Performance....seriously I feel like a completely different person. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me! Thank you Jimmy and team! You guys rock!

However, thanks to Curtis and the PP team, there has been a significant improvement in my posture, physical strength & stamina since my initial evaluation. The best thing about the coaches is that they help correct your form, tailor the plan to focus on the areas that are the weakest for you, and ensure u never unintentionally injure yourself. I have never been a "gym" person, and aimlessly working out without a plan or guidance is not my thing, so I am truly thankful for the support and guidance I get at this place.

Don't believe the newer members who don't notice how disgustingly filthy this place is. THE LEADERSHIP DOES NOT do anything about it and they're lying. This place is absolutely filthy. I have pics to prove it and nothing ever changes. Skin and hair layered on the machines. Filthy saunas. Floors disgusting. Don't take my word for it Go check it out yourself. It's not opinion, it's fact. MACHINES: Outdated and dirty. Gross in fact. Especially upstairs. GARBAGES: Constantly overflowing. BATHROOMS: Dirty. Overflowing garbages, garbage on floor. LEADERSHIP: Poor. Unresponsive. Previous manager was totally checked out and unresponsive. Current leadership-- unresponsive. They do not return messages, acknowledge requests. This place is awful. I keep coming because of the friends I've made, but overall gets a failing grade. I know 7 gyms in the area, and this is, by far, the dirtiest. As a leader of many organizations, I can honestly say this is one of the worst businesses I've ever been involved with. The leaders do not lead with conviction, just excuses. Culture is terrible. What is the ONE thing people care about the most at a gym? Cleanliness. 24hr fitness? An F for failing. They take away paper towel dispensers so the people use less. They seriously don't care. If you care about cleanliness, this is not the place for you. If you can tolerate poor leadership and a filthy environment, then go for it. If the pool and saunas attract you to this gym, just be prepared for dirty areas. It's so bad, people bring their own masking smells. 24-hr Fit screams, "We don't care. But sign up here." The only passing grade are a few employees that actually care, but feel like their hands are tied to actually do something about the problems. Should I add photos from this morning? And it's like this every day

I met Dawn while networking with local massage therapists through LinkedIn. We decided to have coffee and talk about our wonderful profession. I was immediately impressed with Dawn's knowledge and passion. We decided that we would like to receive massages from each other to get a better understanding of our respective bodywork. I get a good amount of massage and have some truly gifted trade partners so I was pretty overwhelmed when Dawn presented a solution to one of my lingering body issues from years as a professional fighter, within 15 minutes of entering her office! At one point during my first session I was actually almost moved to tears (yes, big boys do cry from time to time) just because of being able to believe again that I could solve a persistent hip/knee issue without surgery. It also made me even more cognizant of my role in helping my clients hold on to or regain hope in their recovery journeys. Although Dawn is truly multi-faceted and has studied many styles of massage, I would describe her primary work as structural integration, like Hellerwork in many ways. Dawn also provides exercise therapy and can give anyone a better understanding of how their body is designed to work and then help them get it working better. I highly recommend a visit to dawn if you have body pain that you want to be free of or if you just want to get your body in better alignment and functionality.

Let me start by saying this isn't my first time trying Crossfit…read more I was introduced to Crossfit by my husband who's a big enthusiast, and we first went to a gym when we were living in California, people were nice enough but everyone seemed to do everything like a pro and I felt pretty discouraged that I wasn't at that level yet, so my first Crossfit experience lasted a couple of months. Then at the beginning of this year, I decided to give it another shot at Crossfit Bothell. The first thing that was different was the fact that I joined their foundations class, where I learned what each movement and each exercise was supposed to look like, and ways to scale it down in case I couldn't do that yet. Another thing is the coaches are SO. NICE. We usually go in the evenings, and all of our coaches: Andrew, Peter, Rodrigo and Lincoln are the best. They push you when you need to be pushed, but it's always done in a nice and friendly way, and they encourage you to scale down when needed. They also have olympic weightlifting classes, Lincoln teaches this class on Tuesdays and Fridays, and while I was a bit hesitant at first, now I'm a big fan. We've made a lot of friends at Crossfit, it's now been 10 months and I can see myself staying in Crossfit Bothell for a long time. Tips: go the foundations class, and if, like me, you like working out with your partner, ask for the couples membership!

This is hands down the best location of Orangetheory in the world, and I don't need to try out…read moreevery OTF to say this. 1. Coaches are all world class. My favorites have always been Christi, Luis (who is now at the Renton location), Cassie, Yurah, and Christina. "But Regina, you just named over half of the coaches!" I know, and that's exactly my point. They're ALL so good, I've never had a bad class here! 2. The energy in the room is palpable. There are 13 units for each workout station, meaning they can fit 30+ people in there. There are almost always 30 people each time during peak hour classes (early mornings before work, after work, weekends), and I LOVE that there are so many people because everyone is encouraging and it makes the class more fun. I push myself harder when I have fellow community to work out with! 3. Front desk is amazing. They have always been flexible with my needs and asks, and they deserve cookies and treats and all the best things because they are FREAKIN GREAT. 4. Location has lockers, showers, and everything you need to not look like trash as you enter or leave. A must for some busy professionals, and the showers thankfully never get crowded here because people are courteous. 5. Okay, finally the workouts. My goodness, I would go five times a week if I could. You get your butt kicked on the rowers, then you move into weight floor exercises to do strength training and core work, and then finally the treadmills is a cardio enthusiast's dream. I am NOT an experienced runner, and even I love getting up there and getting it done. No one will judge you if you choose to power walk on incline. Do what works for you!!! At the end of the day, the thing that differentiates this location from others is, I assume, the owner and the way they treat everyone with respect. There's no other explanation to me as to why this is the #1 ranked location in all of Washington state (literally this!) The energy of the people AND staff here is wildly different from any other location I've been to here in the greater Seattle area and in the San Francisco Bay Area. I will never churn as an OTF member so long as this location stays here and continues to be this amazing. LOVE! (PS- not that it's about weight, but I've seen measurable difference in my muscle mass and body fat- I lost 15 pounds in 3 months of working out 3-4x a week at OTF. So do it do it do it!)

I didn't walk around or touched anything, just lay down on a bench to cool down a bit. The studio Manager (who is also a yoga teacher was in the hallway at that time) approached me and began expressing concern for my health and suggesting that I take some easier classes. Which is wonderful and understandable, thank you very much! Then she said the following: "Another reason not to leave the room during class is that people might feel uncomfortable with you being around their belongings. I'm not saying that you would steal anything, but they might be concerned because they don't know you." Just like that, almost word for word - I have an excellent memory. When I eventually spoke my mind on this topic (in email), the Manager sent me a long email full of explanations. She was clearly standing by her words, even repeating them, justifying them by saying that stealing has happened in the studio before. In the same email, she informed me that my studio pass is being terminated and I'm not to return to the studio. Let me tell you about myself. I'm an immigrant speaking with an accent and a white-passing person of color; I work in Higher Education. I've told this story to many of my colleagues and friends. Everyone is in disbelief and asking me - did it happen here, in our state!?! Yep... If the management of this studio believes that I was not treated in any irregular or unusual way, and if they stand by their comments, they should turn their words to me into a studio policy for everyone to consider, not only me! It could go something like this: "Coming outside the room into a hallway during class is discouraged. One of many reasons, people might be uncomfortable with you, our lovely and valued customer, being left unattended around their belongings. Unless they know you, of course! BTW, we are not saying that you would steal anything, no-no! Don't get us wrong! We're only expressing what others might think of you!" :-)
