This review is LONG over due. The Little Gym in Everett is absolutely amazing! We started taking our son here after he turned one and quickly fell in love with the classes! Up until he turned 3, it was parent and me classes that I could attend and participate in and my husband was welcome too when he could come! They have taught him great life skills including tumbling safely and amazing listening skills. We recently transitioned to the 3 year old class where I sit outside the class to watch from the sidelines. Thankfully, he did great and listens to the teachers so well! We've been attending almost weekly for about 2 years and we all look forward to going! Teachers Brit and Nina are absolutely amazing with the kids as are all the teachers! We had tried an AGA gymnastics place before this and it was just awful for toddlers. We went for the first time today with my 2 year old daughter and she loved it! It was a packed class for 8:45a Saturday morning but we expected that. It was very easy to sign up and love how convenient it was to pay & register online. I actually didn't sign up for any classes originally and forgot about it and received a follow-up text with an actual instructor from The Little Gym. What great marketing! Hey it worked on me, got the text mid-week & attended class the following weekend. Person was super responsive & even signed us up on her end. Gym is very clean & looks pretty new. Attending The Little Gym of Everett has been such a positive experience for our family. Our daughter was slightly behind in gross motor development. We started her at the Little Gym with Teacher Char who is also one of the owners. She gained confidence along with physical skills and has a blast socializing with other kids her age. Update: I spoke to the owner and received several sincere apologies about my experience, a small credit on my party price and an offer for my son to do 3 classes free. While I'm still upset about my party experience I am confident that they will use it as a teaching experience and I truly hope no one else experiences what I did. She admitted to and apologized for some miscommunications from her during my original inquiries and I think that shows good character that she didn't try to brush this all off as my misunderstanding or my fault. On the same note she admitted and apologized for the lack of help I received putting up decorations and mentioned how 2 of the 3 girls were new, one was brand new and the other pretty new as much as I hate that these are the people who I got on my party, we all have to learn and start somewhere and I just hope they take this forward with them and understand better how to give great service. The owner listened to me, spoke to me politely, empathized with me and ultimately tried her best to make this right since we can't go back in time and redo the day. I do appreciate the level of concern I felt from her and her determination to use this experience to better train her staff for the future. Like I said, I'm still bitter but that will fade in time, but I do appreciate the owner taking time to try to make this right. I have updated my review to 3 stars. I had my sons second birthday party here after looking around I settled on this place which advertises 220$ for the place to yourself for 90 min, and party set-up/tear-down. I called before reserving online to ask what they meant by set up and was told whatever decorations I wanted to have up for the party I just needed to drop them by before the date of the party and give them my instructions and when we arrived the room would be ready and all we would need to do is set up any food/cake we bring. This all sounded AMAZING so I did just that, ordered decorations and delivered 3 days before the party. When I left them there the lady asked me for my instructions and said it all sounded good and that the room would be ready. Let. Me. Tell. You. The room was NOT ready. There was NOTHING put up, not a single streamer or even the happy birthday sign. Since they told me I could come NO earlier than 4:15 for a 4:30 party so they had room to do all this I was pissed. The people who were there said hi, offered to help me bring in my bag and cake from the car and that was it. I was like...where are my decorations? I thought you were going to put them up? The girl looked very frazzled and ran and got me my bag of things in dropped off and said uh here. I asked my fiancé to start doing anything he could while i asked them to help I said "yeah so I was told the room was going to be decorated by the time we arrived so can you help" she said sure! But they did the BARE minimum they could to help me as all my guests started arriving to a completely bare party room. Myyfriend arrived who has a 1 year old (mostly still crawling) after a few minutes she informed me there was old food scraps all over underneath the kid table and since I hadn't had the chance to put out any snacks yet I knew it wasn't from us, so that was very upsetting as well since I informed them there would be at least 2 crawling children coming. After all the hassle and stress of trying to set the party up with nearly no help that I PAID for, it was finally time to let my son go play in the gym with his friends, they told me they have some normal group activities they do in there and iiinformed the girl that when I had called twice i requested they note I did not want any big group activities planned for my sons party because he hates feeling watched and would be much more comfy if they just let him play. Well I guess they are trained to always do the group activities but I wish they would have listened to my request. Fast forward to cake time, they told me not to worry about bringing a lighter for candles since they have them well, SURPRISE, she "couldn't find it, someone else must have packed it away but idk where"..... so like, they didn't prepare AT ALL?!? Thankfully one of my guests had one in their car and it worked out. Lastly, towards the end of our time, (20 min before the end of only 90 min) they went into the party room and started throwing away all the kids' plates that were on the table but FULL of snacks still.... my mom only walked in and saw them doing it after they threw away almost every plate that was full of snacks and told them to stop. I get they probably wanted to close quickly after our party but again, I PAID them to provide us this space for a 90 min party and I was supposed to be given 15 min to clean up at the end which was plenty of time. But how dare they throw away all of the children's snacks without so much as ASKING if we were ready to start cleaning up. read more

It was surprisingly clean-ish (we ARE talking about a gym specifically for kids to run around and play!!) And they had a good curriculum for the party. We love TLG in Everett. The classes are fully immersive and inclusive of kids from all different backgrounds and diversities. The makeup policy is unheard of and they even give you extra opportunities to participate in extra classes each month. One of our favorites in "Parents Night Out" for potty trained kids. 3 hours, in the evening, on a Friday!(or Saturday?)... this is definitely the best investment we made for our older infant to now almost preschooler as far as learning new things (sports, dance) facing fears, trying new things, and fun social interaction. They do trial classes, too, which is how we got started. Definitely recommend for kids of all ages. read more

We LOVE TLG-Everett! My son, who has always been a sensitive little guy, grew so much during his class time there! They were so accommodating, encouraging, and prepared to help him adjust to class (he wore noise cancelling headphones) and he truly blossomed there. Now, my youngest is in a gymnastics class at TLG and I'm just as impressed with the quality of the classes and instructions now as I was then. Instructors here seems so lost at what they are doing.we had a paid trial and as it was my child's first time and my first time to observe, the instructors were not too welcoming and just proceed to do their routine without even introducing themselves to first timers. The branch looks dirty and one instructor made a frustrated face to my son when he tinkered with a balance beam equipement. You are dealing with kids so patience is a must for instructors/teachers. The director, Miss Britt, happens to be her teacher, but some of the other teachers have been involved too, and have always been enthusiastic and engaging. We miss having a short ballet session before gym (not offered at her age on our day together); two-year-old ballet is such a hoot! Having a birthday party at Little Gym is the best experience she has had, because they set it up, plan the (very active) activities, and clean up the "cake room" while the children go back to organized play. I really should have reviewed sooner! My daughter is almost 5 and she has been coming to the little gym since she was 18 months old. There are quite a few options for classes throughout the week. Sometimes the classes are not a good fit and TLG is very good about helping you find a class that your child will enjoy. One might say they are flexible... The staff is friendly and energetic. We have all made friendships that we truly cherish! My daughter's current favorite class is the Wonderkids 3-hour preschool classes. The kids craft, listen to stories, sing songs, and get to work out some wiggles in the gym. Birthday parties at TLG are awesome! We had her second birthday party at TLG Everett and have attended numerous other parties here and other locations. She asked to have her 5th birthday party here. The staff does all the work so the parents and guests get to enjoy the experience. Not having to clean up after a party is truly priceless. Camps are offered during school vacation times. My daughter has attended camp here for some of the short breaks during the school year and for summer vacation. Camp was wonderful and she was happily exhausted by the end of the day. Parent Survival Night are scheduled on various Saturday nights from 6:30pm - 10:00 pm. Cheaper than a babysitter and way more fun! Our entire family loves The Little Gym! read more

Both of my children began taking classes at the Little Gym of Everett when they were about 18 months old. My daughter is now 5 and my son is 3, and they look forward to going every single week. The teachers take their time to work with each child individually helping them improve not only their gymnastic skills but to help them grow emotionally. We've also celebrated three birthdays here at the Little Gym and my children and the guests all had a blast. The Parent Survival Nights (PSNs) are great!! My son has been going to the Little Gym from ages 1-6 and still loves it. The instructors are well-trained in safety, and the kids have fun while learning and moving. My son has met two of his best friends here, and I have met one of my own! The best feature of the Little Gym: Parents' Survival Nights (PSN)! For 3-and-a-half hours, the kids have a great time while the parents get to do whatever they want, knowing their kids are under fantastic supervision. My son begs me to sign him up for PSN, and you can't beat the $15 member price ($30 for non-members)! The second best feature? Birthday parties! So fantastic, we've done it twice. You bring any eats/drinks and related paraphernalia, and they handle the rest. Since you have the place to yourselves, there's no worry about kids getting lost in a crowd. There's also summer camps and a variety of class types, which are all great, too! P.S. It is now under new ownership since the first Yelp review in 2008 which was not complimentary to the owners. I take my 6-month old to the Buggies and Birdies class. We tried a Kindermuzik class with another company and did not enjoy it at all. The Little Gym, however, is fantastic! It's a mix of developmental curriculum and free play. Char is excellent with the babies, but also the parents too. My son always comes home exhausted and takes a nice long Saturday nap. ;) I'd definitely recommend The Little Gym for safe physical activities, developmental progress, and socializing. read more

The prices are high, but the fun is great. My daughter liked going to her Little Gym day, got to interact with the other kids and gym teacher. I just wish the owner was a little more personable and respectful of people without money. It seemed like she catered to the richer, more well-dressed parents and didn't talk to the parents that were dressed very casual. We have so much fun at Little Gym! My son is 18 months old and we have gone here for about 10 months. I was embarrassed at first because my son is never interested in sitting in the circle, singing, clapping, or anything that teacher Dani is "directing" us to do. Then one day it happened...we were used as the example of independent child! What? Not defective, non participant, anti social child? Independent...has a ring to it...like brilliant and confident, you know all that stuff I already knew about my little prodigy! Oh, yeah, the gym...ok, we run, jump, fall and chase! Aidan was even cornered by a 15 month old and experienced his very first kiss! Awww. I like that we are not expected to do what everyone else is doing and that my child's tendency to explore is welcomed here. There are some really positive results from going here. My son recognizes different activities will be starting when teacher Dani starts to do her little song.."it's time to play with the balls today, balls today, balls today" We have mastered our baby class and will be moving on up with the big kids in a couple of weeks...maybe Aidan will get to second base! read more

The kids had a great time and the gym instructors not only did great with the kids but they did most of the set up and clean up as well as the list for thank yous and cutting the cake. I used to love this place. We've been going to the parent-child classes for 1.5 years. Now that my daughter is independent enough to go to classes on her own (she goes to preschool and has been in dance class by herself), I want to move her up. But I was just informed today, that she MUST be three, not 2.75 for the older kids classes. Every other program I have done has taken a case by case basis for my December b-day advanced kid, but not TLG. Thanks for building my kid up, TLG, no thanks for holding her back! read more

We love the little gym! My daughter (3) and my son (5) love coming and going to the classes! It took us a few weeks to find a good fit into which class my son should be in but the instructors were amazing and cooperative and helped us find the right fit! I love how flexible they were when we missed a class we could make it up or take another class that wasn't our normal class. They are an awesome crew! Glad we found the little gym! read more

My 19 month old started taking classes here a few weeks ago. She has a lot of fun and the staff there are really nice. We look forward to going every Saturday. I love the Little Gym. Our instructor, Katherine knows all of the kids and never forgets a name. Everyone on staff there seems to really love their job and love the kids that come in. My daughter would never sit still in my lap and would run off and play on the equipment. Last Saturday as the teacher was instructing the group, my daughter fell and bumped her head. With the 20-some kids in the class, the teacher still took time to come over and make sure she was okay. I don't even know how she saw her fall since she was busy teaching a class. It is a little costly but my daughter loves the classes and the staff and I will keep going. read more
