Been going here for years and it used to be great but stopping today. This place is disgusting, got a second rash from their equipment in just the past few months. The staff let people take off their shoes in the lifting area and nothing seems cleaned or sanitized. People wear inappropriate, unsanitary attire (everything from pajamas to basically just being in their underwear whether using the spa area or equipment) its gross. They don't seem willing or able to enforce even the most basic of rules or hygiene. A lot of the equipment is frequently broken as well. This place is in dire need of attention and some of its clientele a refresher on what constitutes appropriate sanitary attire (dont be in your underwear when using public spaces and equipment for starters!) This needs to fall on the staff to let members know what is and isnt appropriate. If i could give zero stars i would. read more

Unfortunately this gym caters to class goers, basketball players, spin and cardio junkies. The space for weight lifting equipment and machines are very tight, not to mention trainers sometimes holding down machines/spots for their trainees. You're paying for the broad spectrum of facilities, rather than premium gym equipment. Would like to see more machines, mirrors, and better use of space. California's South Coast Plaza 24 hour location is a prime example of this (which is a SuperSport just like Bothell.) read more

Today I reached my breaking point. Queen bitch middle aged woman trainer asked me to put on my shoes while doing my 1RM Deadlifts. I was out of the way, not in any danger. I'm not a fucking amateur, I won't injure myself because i'm in socks. Secondly, 2 trainers sitting on their asses near the power rack were talking shit about my chalk usage. I was so annoyed I wrapped up my lift. Little do they know, I have fantastic gym etiquette and I wiped down my plates and mat. The trainer talking shit came up to me and thanked me because "literally no one cleans up like that". YEAH NO SHIT, I'M NOT A ROOKIE. DONT NEED TO THANK ME JUST DONT TALK SHIT. SORRY POWERLIFTERS NEED CHALK TO DO HEAVY SETS. My callouses were raw today and I needed a lot. They ruined my set and I cut my session short - before it really began. Not sure why I'm wasting my time writing this as the current club manager doesn't give a flying fuck about any concerns. Not even sure who it is at this time due to high turn over. I genuinely do like the sales and front desk staff but I remember pretty quickly why I took a 6 month hiatus from here. I legitimately keep asking myself why I come to this location. It's probably because I have friends who come here and for the most part, this gym is very clean but I can't stand how some of the trainers and their out of shape regulars act to other patrons. Many of the trainers create a shitty experience for anyone ACTUALLY training (not just doing the T24 waste of time that takes up the power racks) Here's why: - They treat power lifters like shit - This place is for the lazy gym goer NOT athlete - Caters to middle and old aged elliptical zombies It's a shame because the facility is nice but I am so over their attitudes. Lots of free weights and plenty of squat racks. Sometimes I do fasted cardio, and I also regularly use the cycles for HIIT training. Otherwise I just use the weights. But there's a great basketball court that they play volleyball on too. And the pool with spa looks good too, if you need that. It's not a crossfit box so no need to worry about that annoyance. Once in a while someone will do battle ropes or walk around spinning an olympic bar over their head, but rarely or only in my imagination :P The cable machines are great - everything you need and multiples of the popular stuff. There's an elevator up to the cardio equipment and accessible bathrooms. Good sound system and TV's playing a good mix. Quality equipment, maintained and clean. Good staff. Miss the free towels but whatever. read more

24 Hour Fitness Bothell is a great place to work out. I fully appreciate the vast array of equipment, the swimming pool / jacuzzi / sauna and steam, plus the overall general cleanliness of the club. I've been a 24 hour fitness member for over 16 years and am cancelling my membership, and that of my family because: 1. I've witnessed an employee treating children harshly at the Kids Club. 2. I'm concerned they're treating my child the same when I'm not around. 3. This same person has been consistently rude to me when I visit. It's unacceptable behavior, which I tried to address with the employee directly, but failed, and I'm not going to continue to subject my family or myself to this treatment. I've also reached out to the management team and member services. If I'm the only one that has experienced this then I've solved the problem by leaving. But if I'm not, and this is a trend affecting other current (or future) customers, then the behavior needs to stop. At a minimum I hope they investigate this and not just take my word for it. By the way, I've had a uniformly positive experience at this gym and every other interaction. The facility is about as good as it gets for the price. The location is great. The staff is amazing, as are the folks that usually work Kid's Club. My kid used to love it there until this employee joined. Which is why I am giving it "two stars.' If you don't have kids, and don't happen to go to the gym during this person's shift, you'll very likely have a great experience. read more

I've been a member for about a year and generally happy with the club. I have been training with Robert, one of their Master Trainers for most of this time and he is, by leaps and bounds, the most skilled and knowledgeable trainer I have known, and a great guy. Staff is friendly and I believe management tries to enforce good etiquette. "The recent towel service elimination" might seem like a small change, but for people like me who use the shower every time and use towels for sweat (like most), this is a big change. I have never belonged to a club that doesn't provide towels. I would even pay extra for this service (as I speculate that is the real driver) as it is such an inconvenience and can prevent workouts. If I forget my towel or only have a used/smelly towel...I can't work out as I'm almost always headed to work - so this is a major issue for me and I now need to think about whether I continue my membership. My ask to mgmt is at least provide towels as an option that could be charged to account. read more

Recently I had bought membership through Costco and was initially disappointed with how I was treated but after a series of emails to Costco and their floor manager David, it all got corrected for me! Well, things are not improving at this location. As someone else mentioned, many members don't park their vehicle in parking spots but on the road making driving even more difficult. Why can't you guys park where appropriate? Members still ignore the "No shoes" by the sauna and management is still not doing enough to curb this. But here's my latest outrage: I hurt myself and I was bleeding, so I went to the reception to get band-aids. The guy was talking to someone and gestured to wait. WTF! After finishing talking to this person the attendant picks up the phone without paying any attention to me and my bleeding finger. Hello? I'm bleeding and your priority is to talk on the phone? This to me is a total fail. The only reason I go here is because is closer to my house. However I will try the Northgate facility to see if its any better. read more

Overall, the gym is great, especially for the price. The only negative is the staff. There is only about one guy there that is friendly. The rest have poor attitudes and little customer service skills. It's a turn off and makes me dread even walking into the gym because it makes me uncomfortable. After being a loyal member to planet fitness for two years I decided it was time to upgrade and try a gym that was closer to my new apartment. I knew it'd be a little more expensive but I figured it'd be worth it with the advanced equipment that they had. Boy was I wrong, not only is it painstakingly expensive but there are never any machines available when I go, no matter the time I arrive there aren't strength machines for use. You end up spending most of your workout waiting for machines to become available. I tried going during non-peak hours and even then the machines I needed were always in use. Not to mention the vibe here is incredibly offputting, you start to notice people staring at you waiting for machines that you are using. I really tried giving this place a solid chance since it was so close to my home and would have been incredibly convenient to head to straight after work but I actually found myself missing the energy at Planet Fitness where everyone just minds their business, does their workouts and doesn't spend an eternity waiting for machines. I suggest that if you plan to get your workout in 7-10 AM or 5-7 PM like most working people do this isn't the place. read more

The gym is incredibly outdated -- a lot of the machines seem like they could either use a facelift, or could just be replaced altogether with the newest version. People don't always put away their cable machine accessories when they're changing them in the freeweight area. There's not a ton of squat racks and they're mixed in with the TRX cables, so if someone's using the squat rack it's a little too close to be able to use the TRX system comfortably next to them. The staff is somewhat friendly, I usually don't talk to them so I guess it doesn't matter. However, I still like this location better than Northgate just purely because it always has parking available, and the amount of weight-slamming, skimpy tanktop wearing bros is miniscule compared to the Northgate location. read more

Pretty rude behavior by the staff. No one cares about you. Standard chainy gym behavior. They kept messing up my corporate membership last year and every time I entered the premises I would spend 10 minutes at the counter just trying to get in. They would just keep leaving notes in the membership page saying that the system will fix itself in week or two. That never happened. I kept showing them email confirmations from Microsoft HR that they were still paying the company for my membership. They kept acknowledging it and not doing anything about it. After two months of repeated such encounters they finally fixed it after an hour wait at their counter. Turned out they were checking the wrong account entry all along. As soon as open enrollment at Microsoft came around I dropped them like a hot potato. If you are a Microsoft employee there are far far better places to use your fitness benefits. read more

They finally got WiFi which is a huge plus because I never have service here. I haven't figured out what time is best to go for the least amount of people to be there. I'm usually there around 8 pm and it's still pretty busy. Parking can get pretty bad but I haven't had to park at the Home Depot yet. read more

I liked coming here when they first opened. They're a good gym in general in terms of size and equipment. I'd since moved to Issaquah and think the Issaquah and Northgate branches (both also Super Sport) are much better equipped in terms of personal trainers. Now that I'm back in Bothell I've had a hard time finding quality trainers. I've tried out 3 of them using up multiple training sessions and found them ranging between terrible to not even meh. I've had two different trainers in Issaquah and one in Northgate who were all quite good. Too bad I didn't find one to continue with in Bothell. Even in terms of equipment, LA Fitness in Lynnwood is a better bet. So yeah, this is kind of a pointless gym ‍ read more

Great gym and friendly staff. The staff greets you when you check in and say thank you when you leave. It is just this tiny bit of customer service and attention to detail that makes you feel good about being a member of this gym. Add in the towel service, cleaned and folded ready for members to use when you check in. I visited the downtown Seattle location and was surprised to find out no towels were offered and was not greeted when I checked in. There are lots of treadmills, exercise bikes and other cardio machines upstairs and available to use even during peak hours. The weights, benches, squat and deadlift area are well positioned and evenly distributed in one location. The circuit training machines are also well organized and kept clean by the staff and members after use. They even have a cross fit area. The basketball court is an added bonus which is used for basketball and volleyball pick up games. The evenings are usually filled with players waiting to get in on the action. One recommendation would be to offer guest passes at $5 per visit for friends or family wanting to play basketball or volleyball. And have the visitors sign a waiver to address any liability concerns. The gym currently charges $20 for visitors which is a hefty price to pay just for 1 day. I have been a member for over a year and appreciate the fact I can focus on my workout and not be approached by sales people to purchase products or services. The staff are very friendly, respectful and mindful of their members, in my experience and have been helpful answering any questions I have had. read more

On a scale of one to ten how hard is is to change a diaper?! I pay these people $65 a month and they can't take care of a baby for one hour without interrupting the class? 24 hour fitness is a nice concept, but for a single parent their childcare is a ridiculous joke. Also: their contract is non negotiable and binding for a year.... what if life happens and things change financially? They don't care, just cough up your money. You don't matter, only their money in their hands matters in the end. I'm stuck paying for a year because I foolishly signed up, but I will never recommend this gym even to someone I despise. *I am fully aware of the policies childcare at 24 hour fitness locations and my point is that they defeat the purpose of a "babysitter" service (especially for diapered children) and entirely regret signing up. read more

You are not saving any energy for earth, you are just saving your cost, and used more energy from earth. If you don't provide towels and wash them, then customs must wash them at homes. In the name of going GREEN, they removed the towel service. no towels for the exercise machines, shower or swim. it's a silly excuse to save money, unless they think people will stop using towels altogether. if people are required to bring their own, the number of towels used remains the same, except that the customers now bear the cost, which is what 24hr fitness wanted. so why pitch this as a GREEN initiative. the quality of the centre has gone down considerably as well. too crowded, hardly any space in the pools unless you don't mind coming in at 2am. I started coming to this 24 hr fitness here at the bothell location about 2 years ago. I like the staff, everyone is really nice and as soon as I walk in I feel welcomed. I also like that it's a bigger newer gym than the lynnwood location. I never thought I'd get a PT but I would always see Tasi working out hard and thought hey I want to look like her! I've been training with Tasi for almost a year! I've seen changes in my body and I'm much stronger. She always pushes me to keep going even when I want to give up. I've been using this gym off and on since they opened. I have to say it's losing its luster. The cardio machines (ellipticals, treadmills) seem dirtier and dirtier ... obviously not cleaned on a daily or regular basis from what i can tell. And that leads me to believe they might not be serviced or maintained as well as they could be. One of the heart rate hand sensors came apart in my hands yesterday ...so my theory might be right. There used to be a weight lifting class early Monday mornings but that seems to have disappeared. With that said there is very limited classes in the early, early morning. I think there might be a cycling or spinning class but I'd like to see more early morning options. I use this gym because of its location but i dont think the upgraded price for it being a "Super Sport" is living up to its name. "Super Sports" should be a higher caliber gym and offer something more than just a towel. The options on equipment is good but it really needs to be cleaner, better maintained and more early morning classes offered. read more

I've been a 24hr fitness member for the past 6 years at the old Totem Lake + this newer Bothell location. TL;DR Friendly staff and newer facilities (group class room/pool/sauna/machines) vs Bellevue/Lynnwood/Redmond, but NO TOWEL SERVICE (this is more of a complaint for all 24hr super sports to be fair and this was a decision made by corporate for June 1st) no parking during peak hours and takes them FOREVER to repair the pool/day lockers when broken. Pros -Mostly friendly desk staff (haven't experienced the same rude greetings as others have mentioned as I always get a friendly hi/bye) -Pool is larger, newer, less crowded and longer than most other super sports -Great group classes with fun instructors and much more equipment than Bellevue/Redmond/Issaquah for bodypump Cons -Takes them FOREVER to repair the pool or lockers when they are broken (1-3 months sometimes) and the pool heating element breaks 1-2 times a year (very inconvenient as this is one of the primary reasons why I pay a premium for a super sport) -They removed towel service...and I'm locked into a 2 yr contract (again, moreso a 24hr fitness corp thing that is just sleazy cost cutting move) -Few parking spots -Limited number of day locker Rounding up to a 3/5 being generous, but would give a 2.5/5. read more

The gym is nice and I like using the equipment they have. Sadly, the front desk is poorly trained. Every time I call they have no idea and constantly tell me different things. When I first signed up 3 months ago they said my payment would go through on the 10th. And now they are saying they can only do the 1st and that's how it always is. A different time I called asking if they sell swimsuits or anything and the guy said 'I don't know, you can come in and look' instead of offering to put me on hold and walk 10 steps to check the racks/: I will probably continue to come here, just because I like they are open 24 hours, due to the crazy hours I work, I just wish staff would be trained a little better on basic customer service skills. I wanted to review 24 Hour Fitness to even out some of the undeserved poor reviews. The great experience starts when you walk in the door and are greeted by the friendly staff. The gym is very large and has an open layout with the cardio machines upstairs and the weights, basketball court and pool downstairs. Even at peak times there always seems to be cardio machines available- I personally never have a problem snagging a treadmill. The locker rooms are well maintained. I often work out before work and shower at the gym. The showers are always clean. They also provide towels at this location which is nice- one less thing to pack in your gym bag! Members of the gym are generally courteous and it isn't full of meat heads. As a female who isn't super well versed in lifting I don't feel intimidated to use free weights here which I have felt at other gyms. I'm more than happy to spend my $40/month for 24 hour fitness! This gym is super dirty. I wouldn't join it. Over priced for the potential risk of catching staff or some other disease. Cleanings are skipped on the regular and they only clean once a day... at midnight... not even during peak hours when it would be most beneficial. If you join this gym, get a good pair of shower shoes and clean them off regularly. They used to clean multiple times daily but now they just cut corners especially after canceling towel service. I'm fed up and I'm switching to LA fitness where it's cheaper and they have towel service as well as clean regularly. Convenience is not worth my personal safety. F this place. read more

Best to go early morning to beat the crowds. It can get ridiculously busy after 4pm but that's most gyms for you. The staff is friendly and don't push sales in my opinion. They got rid of towel service a few months back which was disappointing. I wish the staff would clean the equipment more but that's everyone's responsibility. SO Don't be gross, don't forget to bring your own towel, and wipe down your stations and equipment when your done! read more

So, Yelp decided to remove my review because "I didn't provide enough detail about my experience", yet I constantly see one or two sentence reviews staying. You want a full review, Yelp? Sure. Let's start with the fact that the contract binds you in ways that you didn't think it would. The rates are absurd--if I had been smart originally and shopped around for other gyms, I wouldn't have hastily signed up for 24 Hour Fitness. For this particular location and how crowded it is nowadays, you're better off walking on the Burke-Gilman Trail that's nearby. Or better yet, find another gym. You want to come in after work for a quick work-out? Good luck. You'll be stuck trying to look for a empty machine. There is no breathing room for the weights. The spa and pool are always busy. The classes are at inconvenient times. The courts are always filled. All of this was made worse by the fact that the 24 Hour Fitness gym in Kirkland was recently closed, so they all migrated here. The personal trainers are extremely uncaring and push unnecessary "deals". When I signed up, I was paired with a woman who only helped me for about ten minutes, but was more than happy to talk about her personal training deals and what hours she's in to discuss this. Not to mention the same trainer will STILL call me every month or two about the same bullshit personal training deals. It's cool, though, she's blocked and listed as "annoying gym lady" in my contacts. Lastly, I'm stuck paying for a gym that I can't even work out at. I've spoke with the manager to even buy-out my contract because not only am I busy AT work, but I can't relax and work-out like I used to because of the absurd amount of people who are there. The manager told me that there are literally no options and that even if I were to "freeze" my account, I'd still have to pay the remaining fees afterwards. Cool. Overall, the first month or two was fine when I signed up last summer, but it went downhill horribly. read more

the gym and front desk staff are helpful, courteous and respectful. the supervisor: david, the man who sits in the office, is not helpful. the facility supervisor( the man in the office) is to solve problems, to take care of gym members and resolve issues. tiday, he did not so that. it is not my nature to write a problematic review for a business I appreciate; yet when frustrated with the front desk encounter today, I tried to contact the corporate office customer service; they were closed. upon suggestion of auto-reply, I then tried to find and use Contact Us, the recommended link on the website; I could not find it. i then resorted to an online review. My issue which is basic: my fitness plan which is paid for by my medicare account, was terminated. it became necessary fir the facility supervisor: David, to solve this issue. While looking at the monitor the full time, he told me that my account had been terminated. he did not acknowledge my past membership, he did not acknowledge the prior difficulty I had had with the gym in this cery issue and the mistake on their end creating a termination; he said I need your card. His mannerism was not gracious, respectful nor helpful. he was rude. i enjoy this gym, their front desk staff as well as close proximity to my home. This 24 hour fitness is such a joke. From day one I went in here and got harassed by a patron in front of a sales person and the sales person did nothing about it and then continued to hit on me as well as swindle me out of buying a year bundle and made me purchase a month to month membership claiming it was a much better deal. After going back in with my boyfriend to speak with the manager they extended my free trial which pleased me because I didn't see the sales person for a while after. Come to find out he's still employed later on. No, if your employee does not care to respect women he has no place working in your establishment don't keep workers who don't know their boundaries. Every day during the week its packed and they don't stop adding people to their membership for this gym. I literally couldn't use a single piece of equipment that I needed at 7:15 pm on a Monday. I don't pay this much for a membership to a gym that I can't even use the equipment at when I want to go. Yes a gym can get crowded but not so much that I can't find a single weight or machine that I want to use. There are people who go to gyms with specific programs (like myself) that have a routine etched out for maximum efficiency. Its kind of pointless for people like me if we have to wait 20 minutes for a single rack every day of the week. Get it together and stop signing people up for a bit I promise it won't hurt! read more
