We ordered the gnocchi which was nice and rich and 4/5, wild salmon I loved that it was cooked to perfection but could go without the salt on top made it way too salty 4/5, brussel sprouts were yummy 4/5, octopus was my favorite as it was not chewy 5/5. Came for an early dinner and parking was easy. Started with the burrata cheese, which had grilled bread and some veggies, along with an order of grilled octopus. For the main course, we ordered the seared scallops and the wagyu New York steak and also got a side of mac and cheese. It's rare that you can grab a delicious drink and head next-door and get macaroons from Lady Yum, world renowned Macarons by the way . I came for crispy brussels sprouts. I used to come here for happy hour all the time after work! Now work is at home so definitely don't come as often. I love the burger that is on their happy hour menu, and the steak with chimichurri sauce they used to have. Never anything better than these on the hh menu! For the regular dinner menu, must always get a pasta to share, and also the steak tartare. I have to say I felt like the portion of the tartare is less than that last time I had it and I think I would have preferred it with crackers or bread, not chips. The pappardelle with clams was delicious but some of the pasta was stuck together and there was a bit of raw flour between them. It still tasted great. The foie gras hummus isn't my first choice of app, but I thought the radishes went great with it. For entrees, the salmon is always delicious. I tried the branzino and for me it lacked a sauce of some sort and was slightly over cooked. But well seasoned. The potatoes and onions it came with were delicious. We had went to another upscale restaurant that weekend, and the difference in the quality in service is astonishing. We had a late lunch so we ordered a number of apps to share--a dozen oysters, brussel sprouts, grilled octopus, and fried calamari. He got a vitamin c drink. If I had to rank the apps it would be: grilled octopus, oysters, brussel sprouts, then fried calamari. The fried calamari has a unique flavor with the yogurt and the seasoning. If I were to go again, I would just get two dishes of the grilled octopus to myself--that is how soft and delicious it is! For dessert, I got the espresso panna cotta, the donuts, and the lime sorbet. While the menu feels very comfortable, the food is anything but. As a party of three we ordered delicious cocktails and some starters. The calamari was the highlight of the trio, with the tartare coming in close behind. For entrees we favored the lamb, but the duck was great, the Mac and Cheese decadent, and it feels odd to say - but the brussel sprouts almost over shined everything. And don't pass on dessert! My friend picked the restaurant this time and I was wondering how it had eluded my radar! It seems like some people had less than stellar experiences a long time ago, and clearly this restaurant has fixed anything that may have gone wrong in the past. We had reserved the patio but the day we came in it was a bit chilly out - they gladly gave us a table inside instead. That said, nobody on the patio looked cold or was using a blanket so we probably would have been fine out there. The service from start to finish was 5-stars. The 2120 spritz was a beautiful drink my mom would have been proud of me ordering. They use pea-flower infused tea to create the lovely purple effect over the mound of ice - so it's good for digestion and it's pretty! The It's not you, it's me was also a great choice. I loved how bright and spirited it was and suggested they add a drink option below this one on the menu and title it "It's not me, it's you" or "Actually, it's you." For starters we had the kale and the burrata - both were good and the timing of everything was great. The dinner entrees came out and were completely satiating. The fresh made gnocchi was such a delight, as was the side of some of the best mac and cheese in the city. I love it when mac n cheese is done with cavatappi noodles instead of macaroni - it's prettier in presentafion and somehow just tastes a bit more whimsical/magical. The scallops were perfectly seared and plated over a delicate sauce and wild mushrooms and peas. I savored every bite of this delicious dish. Even though we were quite full from dinner there's no keeping me away from my favorite ice cream in the world (Olympic Mountain). They happened to have two of my favorite flavors the night we were there so I ended up taking a pint home as well after we finished our meal! Our server let us know they usually have 6 flavors so to check back if I was interested in getting any others in the future - I will, for sure! At the end of the meal I asked the hostess if there was a way to get to the parking garage without going outside and down the stairs (it was chilly and I have a hard time going down stairs). She gladly went and asked the manager to walk us through to the elevator bay using his pass. This was so incredibly helpful and is the pinnacle of great customer service. I was very impressed with everything last night. The food scene in Seattle has been in a state of flux since COVID, so IMO everything is hit or miss recently. But, wow! 2120 really delivered, the food was awesome. Everything from the brussel sprouts, pork chops to the wine selection was well done and the prices did not break the bank. Service was stellar for a busy Saturday night, we let our server know we were going to a show at Jazz Alley in 1.5 hours and he made sure everything made it on time and just an awesome guy. 2120 holds the title of my favorite restaurant in Seattle, and I try to visit every time I'm in town. I can have challenging dietary restrictions, and they've always perfectly taken care of me every time I've come. Most often I get gnocchi with whatever sauce is on the pasta (per waiter suggestion my first visit), and they are always more than happy to accommodate and it comes out with flavor to die for. Their drinks are fantastic as well, with their 2120 spritz being so good that I can't ever stray too far from it. The waiters are fantastic and kind, and really make for a great atmosphere. I will continue to come back every trip I can. Also, I tried the Tomahawk steak once at a special dinner -- best meat I've ever had in my life. To have a seat outdoors on the patio with a nice view of the spheres, you'll need a reservation. Was recommended by a friend about this place. Showed up on a Saturday evening just after opening for an early dinner. Was sat right away but had a 2 1/2 hour limit (easy!) Ordered the oysters and grilled octopus as appetizers which are both a must try. My girlfriend doesn't like anything too fishy and she LOVED these items. The grilled octopus was the best I've ever had. For meals we got the duck breast and oxtail pappardelle. Duck breast was okay--it was my first time trying it so I didn't know what to expect. We came in a little early and were hoping to sit at the bar while we waited the 15 minutes for our Resy, but unfortunately their bar wasn't open. We left and got a drink nearby and when we came back, our table was still occupied. So they sat us in the bar area, which wasn't a big deal since we had a little more privacy for our loud group. We were celebrating a birthday and Chris (the manager?) was kind enough to start each of us off with a glass of Taittinger. He offered us a tasting of the punch, which was really nice of him, but we ended up just getting different cocktails instead. Disclosure: visit and review during Covid-19 pandemic. I've had 2120 bookmarked for some time, we decided to give it a try during my last Friday of dry January 2021. First, there is free parking after 4pm, which is a bonus, and their website gives you instructions on how to get to the garage. We made reservations, mostly due the limited capacity during the pandemic. Thankfully, when we arrived we were given the option to sit in their tented patio or "inside" (as the patio doors were wide open). We opted inside. They are following current state and CDC guidelines: providing hand sanitizer, spaced out seating, limiting capacity, mask mandates, etc... You can opt for the QR code or a paper menu. We felt completely safe! As I was doing dry January, I was glad to see mocktails on the menu and the hubby ordered a couple of cocktails which in his words were really good. But for food, I was already eyeing the grilled octopus. The grilled octopus was pretty phenomenal, perfectly grilled (not over cooked or rubbery), I would definitely recommend ordering this dish. My hubby had the Tagliatelle with clams, I had the wild caught king salmon and we added an order of Brussels sprouts. The dinner items were great, but honestly I'd come just for that grilled octopus alone. 2120 was the best decision we made during our entire trip to Washington. We ended up there after searching the internet for an early dinner spot with local wine. We had no clue about the amazing experience we were in for. Spencer was our server and from the time we sat down til we were walking out of the restaurant, we felt like we were his only table. He made amazing recommendations on every single food choice from the oysters, to our salmon and scallops, and then dessert. When he wasn't sure about which wine to recommend, he showed the best customer service skills by making sure he consulted with the bartender before he suggested a wine. And let me say, the wine we had was absolutely perfect for our entire meal. It complemented the flavors of the oysters, the seafood, and the dessert perfectly. Prior to our trip, we had made reservations at a different restaurant for Valentine's Day. While we were in the middle of our meal, we canceled those reservations and made reservations to come back to 2120 on Valentine's Day and they were kind enough to squeeze us in. The perfect place to get dolled up and grab apps and drinks! I came with a friend on Sunday night (probably why it wasn't too busy), and we were seated quickly per our reservation. I wasn't able to book indoors online and had booked heated patio, but we were still pretty cold. Our server was extremely accommodating and helped move us to an indoor table away from the patio door. Although I no longer drink alcohol, I am still a fan of the nonalcoholic versions, and I was thrilled to find Zilch on the menu! Despite the lack of alcohol, it tasted exactly like the sparkling rosés I'm fond of. The mac and cheese was the perfect complement to the drink - it was cheesy, creamy, and just a bit salty, while the rosé was crisp but slightly sweet. Ok, rarely have I been somewhere where everything coming out of the kitchen was so consistent and amazing. Started with the grilled octopus and pork belly. Octopus was grilled perfectly with a tiny bit of char on the tips. The purée had some nice Serrano heat but not overpowering for my guest's fire resistant palette. Pork belly also had nice char, and the purée that came along also balanced this well. I had the king salmon which had a crispy top layer and perfectly cooked filet that just slid into nice bit size chunks. I added the seared scallops that had brine for a good finish. Charred broccoli paired nicely with this and the garlic was not too overpowering. Service was great and friendly. Even without the heaters, the sidewalls protect well from any wind. Menu is limited, as expected at most places in restrictive cities, but the selection is still diverse. Had a fabulous dinner while staying in Belltown for the LDW. Made reservations for 8pm on Saturday and we were seated right away. The restaurant was full-ish but not completely full. Service was great. Very efficient! I started with the Mezcal cocktail which I LOVED. My boyfriend and I decided to split the Brussels (as an app). They were so tasty. And then split the gnocchi and the scallops. The scallops were perfection, but there were only 3 so I'm glad I didn't get only that. But that paired with the gnocchi was perfect. It's a little more of an upscale place that's a bit dark inside and may make for a good date spot. We started with the oysters (great, but very different sizes for what seemed to be the same variety of oyster), octopus (fantastic, and a must have if you like octopus at all), and roasted beets (very good). We then shared the seared scallops (they offered to bring 4 instead of the normal 2 since we were sharing--very nice) and the gnocchi. The scallops were cooked perfectly, but sort of overshadowed by the other stuff on the plate; this is a must get dish with great textures and flavors. The gnocchi are like Fall on a plate--excellent dish. We rounded out with the charred broccoli side which, I upon seeing it, I assumed would be super heavy on garlic but ended up being perfectly balanced with lemon. We had the shells and whistles cocktail which was very unique tasting and one of my partner's favorite cocktails in recent memory. A grand restaurant with many delightful dishes. Nextdoor to the Spheres, and a short walk from Pike Place, this would make a great place to end your day running around downtown. I absolutely loved the oysters and the gnocchi. The pastas are made in house, and the gnocchi was the star of the night for me. Creamy with a subtle truffle taste. It was a large portion as well (the pic is a half portion as we had the kitchen split it for us) The crudo came and was great, however it was not albacore it was ahi. It didn't seem that they had informed our server and while it was delicious, was not what we ordered and were expecting. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and featured a warm apply sauce. Kale salad was fine, I felt it could use more apples and seeds. Lastly the cream puff. The pumpkin filling and whipped cream were a delight. The puff itself was cold and had the texture of sitting in the fridge (wouldn't recommend it). We sat in the tent and it was very warm and cozy. Our server was very sweet as well. read more
