2 skinny movers were great. I had a big heavy 480 lb tool cabinet i needed moved from harbor freight to my house. I needed them to provide the truck which they did for a small increase option. Shams and his team came and did the move no problems. Saved my back and hassel. Very professional and fair price for spur of the moment job. read more

2 Skinny Movers - Pushing heavy tool cabinet after unload from truck. - Movers Near Me - Santa Clara, California

Here's the updated review with that added in. --- I would not recommend this moving company, and I wish I had gone with someone else. When I first spoke with who I believe was the owner, I walked him through the full scope of my house so he could staff the job properly. He confirmed two trucks and five guys. The morning of the move, one truck and three guys showed up. The person in charge was visibly overwhelmed from the start, repeating things like "wow, this is a huge move, we need more people," as if the scope hadn't already been laid out in detail beforehand. From there, the day only got worse. The crew handled my belongings like they had never moved a house before. Items were tossed around with no care, and the lead guy was rude and made me uncomfortable the entire day. They were slow and inefficient, and at the new place they claimed certain items couldn't fit in specific spots, when it was obvious they could. They did work a long, hard day, I'll give them that. But the lack of care made an already emotional day so much harder. Many of my items were broken in the process. When I went back to my old house the next day, they had left it a mess. Several items, including rugs and picture frames, were left behind entirely, despite the crew insisting everything had been brought. It took me two extra carloads to collect what they didn't. They also disassembled a rack and lost one of the arms. I was told at the time that everything would be fully reassembled at the new house. It wasn't. I ended up unwrapping most of the packaging myself. After the move, I tried reaching the owner twice by phone and once by text with no response. When I finally got a callback and asked to speak with him directly, I was simply told he wasn't available. When I asked if I could at least leave a message, the person hung up on me. This was, hands down, the worst moving experience I've had. Inexperienced crew, poor communication, broken belongings, and a total disregard for how my things and my time were treated. Be careful. You get what you pay for, and this was not it. Picture below of the mess they left at the house being moved out of. read more

I have not used 2 skinny movers myself but I heard great things about them from my friend who used them. She said they were polite and kind as well as very good at getting everything moved even heavy things or things that require assembly. She said they were very good. If I had to move this is probably the company I would use. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. The whole moving process was fine until it came time for the payment. I did not know they don't accept card payment. I was planning on paying with my credit card. The movers told me they only accept cash or zelle. I only had 900.00 in my debit card but I had a little over 3,000 in my savings account. When it came time for the payment, I transferred 2,000 from my savings to my debit. The transfer was immediate but the money was not appearing in my checking account so I zelled the mover the 900.00 I had in my debit. I told him I didn't have any cash but I would zelle him as soon as the transfer went through, he was very kind & understanding. The issue was when someone from the company called me. He said, in these exact words "it sounds like you're trying to play with us, what? Do you think you can just steal, get us to move for you for free?" I explained the situation to him but he started talking over me, raising his voice. I kept trying to tell him I would never steal from anyone, I tried to pay in card but the mover said they don't accept cards. He started yelling at me & told me to stfu! In those exact words. He would not let me talk, he just kept screaming at me in an extremely aggressive tone and talking over me. I have never been treated this poorly by anyone in my entire life. His attitude is DISGUSTING. I hung up on him while he was screaming and called the mover, he was so patient, kind and understanding. He asked me not to write a bad review because they are working so hard to keep the business successful. If it hadn't been for the man in the office screaming & cursing at me, I wouldn't be writing this review. He was so, incredibly intimidating. I did NOTHING to provoke him. I wasn't rude or short or disrespectful. I was speaking to him in a neutral tone until he cursed & screamed at me so I raised my voice too in reaction to his, so he could hear me. The mover said that he thought I was trying to rip them off because I told him I had to drive to San Diego. He assumed I was trying to disappear & get away with not paying. This would've never happened if they accepted card payments. It's 2026, EVERY business takes card. Even the hotdog vendors in the streets take apple pay read more

Great moving service! The movers were professional, careful, and worked very efficiently. They handled all of my furniture with care and made the whole move quick and stress-free. Everything arrived safely and on time. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable movers! read more

Typical bait and switch scam! Salim agreed to terms via text message and said "Yeah, yeah, yeah...we can do all that for the that price. The very night before the move he texted me and says oh no we can do none of that. We need to get paid and the entire price changed by over $100 an hour. He was relying on the hope that I had no other choice, but to give into his demands with time running out. Luckily, I had a back up plan in place for the day of the move and was able to cancel his services. Be weary of anything he tells you he can do for a certain price and get it in writing with his signature!! read more

Insanely fast moving and what I thought was gonna be a six hour process, turned into a 3 hour process. Super friendly and communicative, and didn't take a single break which is crazy. Salim is super nice and bros a pro MMA fighter which is fucking sick too. Bros a gost Thanks guys again! Would recommend hiring them and their pricing is fair! read more

I almost forgot to write this review. It has been in my drafts for a while! But I won't forget how amazing these 2 guys were. They are just as their company name says, 2 skinny movers. I had an injury a couple weeks before I was supposed to move and found them online. They really came to my rescue agreeing to move all my stuff and were willing to fit me in their busy schedule. I still recall how friendly, thorough and fast they were. I have a lot of stuff and they managed to get everything done smoothly. It was a crazy hot summer day in San Jose, yet they really strove to get everything completed. I can't say enough great things about the service I received! From start to finish, they exceeded all my expectations. They were incredibly careful with my belongings. They handle everything with the utmost care, ensuring that nothing gets damaged during the move. They even packed some of my furniture for me. You could quickly see that these guys are seriously hardworking. They showed up right on time and wasted no time getting to work. They were efficient and organized, making sure that the move went as smoothly as possible. And let's talk about their strength - they're like superheroes! Despite their slim appearance, these guys are incredibly strong. They handled heavy furniture and boxes with ease, making quick work of loading and unloading. I will absolutely be using them again should I need to move again! Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience with 2 Skinny Guys Moving Company. If you're looking for a reliable, careful, hardworking, and strong moving company, look no further! They'll make your move stress-free and seamless. 10/10 would recommend!" read more

I used 2 Skinny Movers in April to load my 1-bedroom apartment into storage pods in Campbell, CA. Now that I've finally unpacked, I'm honestly shocked at the mess they left behind. I wouldn't recommend them. TL;DR: * Ignored the packing instructions I relayed from the pod company * Cut me off mid-sentence with "yeah, yeah..." instead of listening * Took 6+ hours to load a 1-bedroom apartment * Fragile items were barely wrapped or not wrapped at all * TVs were shoved in without using the protective boxes I bought * Found a large glass vase completely unwrapped between boxes Full review: I hired 2 Skinny Movers to help load my stuff into pods for a long-distance move. Most of my things were already packed--I just needed help wrapping a few larger, fragile items and loading everything properly. I passed along instructions from the pod company, but the lead mover clearly wasn't listening. He kept cutting me off with "yeah, yeah..." and did things his own way. It took over 6 hours to load a small 1-bedroom apartment, which seemed excessive. But the real issue came when I unpacked: My TVs were shoved in without the proper boxes I specifically asked them to use. A large glass vase was sitting completely unwrapped between boxes. Lamps, shelves--none of it looked professionally packed. In short, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I can't recommend them. read more

NO DOUBT - the best moving experience ever. When Ismail and Aziz arrived, I thought to myself "they are two dang skinny movers alright. There's no way they can move all the heavy furniture." I was totally wrong and totally impressed at how strong and professional they are. They had blankets, tape, wheels... the whole 10 yards to move everything safely and efficiently. Down a flight and up a flight was no problem for these skinny guys. They were so professional. My thumbs up and high regards for their efficiency. They were punctual as well. I will definitely use them again and hope you will try them too. One last thing - SALIM, YOU ROCK! I appreciate your hands on communication skills. You built confidence in me that your company is top shelf. Thank you! read more

2 Skinny Movers - Salim stocking my belongings into the truck. - Movers Near Me - Santa Clara, California

Salim and Firouz were amazing. They showed up to move 20 years of ours in their truck in the first intense heat wave of summer last weekend. They were methodical and extremely helpful packing everything in and unpacking the truck on the other side of the move. They disassembled where necessary, taking extraordinary care as not to damage anything. I am so thankful to have found them through Thumbtack - I enthusiastically recommend their services. I don't know how we would have managed without them. read more

I had 2 skinny movers helping me move today and I was more than impressed. Firstly, after I requested pricing they immediately called, were very clear, explained their rate - which was all inclusive, and in my opinion fair. After reading reviews and having such clear and easy grieving process, they were an easy choice. Next, they were super flexible and changed the start time with less than 24 hours notice as something came up on my end. Then the two lads arrived, super polite nice guys. They assessed what had to be moved and then loaded the truck both with speed and care. They wrapped each furniture item perfectly. The whole process, including driving and unloading took less than expected, and was seamless from start to finish. Thanks for making my move go so smoothly!! read more

I was moving from Santa Clara to San Jose and the distance was 18 miles. I hired 2skinny movers and they had a very quick response time. Entire two bed room things were moved in 5 and half hours time. Walter and Ely were very responsive and quick. These guys are fast and packed everything. They Delivered and assembled the Furniture and all other things without damage. There was an extra hidden charge because of the distance which they informed us after loading. I guess this is something common with all movers . So please check with them before hiring. But overall these guys are amazing and I recommend. read more
