To put it mildly, this company is atrocious. From beginning to present, this has been an absolute nightmare. Installation appointments were cancelled without notice on three separate occasions, proper equipment to access my roof was not obtained. The owners of the company were emailing me daily, and they ultimately paid for my utility bills for 3+ months Fast forward to present, my system has been down for almost a month and I still don't have a repair technician scheduled. Customer service told me I'd have to wait to hear from their repair teams to setup an appointment and that was 14 days ago. I sat on hold for customer service today for nearly an hour before the call disconnected and I wasn't even able to reach somebody. They charge far too much for their systems and their ability to provide even decent service is non-existent. We got our panels 4 years ago and have absolutely no complaints. From start to finish the install went smoothly and on time. I'm reading the recent reviews about people complaining about having to pay more than the $13.00 to NV Energy per month. Did you not understand what net meterting means? There will be days that you use more electricity than your panels produce, thus you are negative energy. That can be because your a/c system is inefficient in the summer or heater in the winter. Maybe it was cloudy outside. Is your house insulated? Reflective glass windows? Just because you have solar doesn't mean it's instant savings!!! There's an app you can check on your solar panels day to day to see what your are producing and likewise with NV Energy, you can see if you are delivering or receiving energy every day. Our highest bill is in December when the days are shorter, the heat is on, we have company taking showers, the stove is on, washer and dryer is being used and then the highest bill has been $180.00 So much information you have access to everyday as you can see in the pictures. read more

I have a 20 panel $27k system installed last year that was designed to eliminate my electric bill. In the summer, I am still receiving NV Energy bills $70 over the connection fee. 1Solar recommended installing 6 additional panels for a cash cost of $1,098 per panel. The cost of the equipment is $350 per panel in a retail setting, not wholesale. There was no negotiating a fair price and the salesman stood me up two days in a row. So much for the "energy guarantee" and promised outstanding customer service! read more

I made two separate appointments with 1Solar through a representative named Brian Hodson and they failed to show up for both. Very frustrating. Was told the first appointment was not put in the schedule. Then I was told that they would "100 percent" be at the next one. More like 100 percent not be there. read more

Don't do it! It's too costly in the long run especially when you find out the day before you leave that panels have to be replaced due to messed up wiring. Could be why I had multiple shorts to my fridge and microwave which had to be replaced. And then some asphalt shingles had to be burned off exposing wood on the roof which had the entire roof replaced per buyers request. So them assuming my 33,000 solar loan turned into that amt of my profits being used for closings and repairs. And you're still tied to the grid. Thanks 1Solar for making my 1st time homebuying experience peachy and the exit even peachier. I'll never forget and will continue writing about my experience every chance I get. I purchased a house that already had panels from them. Electric bill is sky high. Apparently they miss assessed the amount of panels for this house. They also heard from the loan company I am paying through that I am unhappy with them. They called me up and told me that they lost communications with the panels in July of 2023............ Also if I wanted a tech to come out it would $450 dollars due to the fact the warranties do not transfer to the new home owners (me) These panels not even 5 years old. Shady AF read more

Installed four years ago. Everything went well during install. Took two or three months to get everything going. Paid for the panels up front so I only have to pay NV Energy to be on the grid. At first it was $12 a month, now it's $19. Two months out of the year (Jan and Dec) I don't produce enough to cover what I'm using so I usually have a bill for those two months. I think the lowest bill was $40 and the highest was $180. I have 42 panels on a 2800 sq foot house. read more

I wish I read reviews before working with this company. They hired my landscape company to do a project for a homeowner. Their plan was to tie in the price of our project with the loan of the solar deal to help the homeowner out. They paid our initial deposit and agreed to the figures. When the project was complete they requested information from us so we can get paid for our portion. After everything was sent back to 1 solar they informed us that they are not paying us and simply stopped responding to us. This company scammed me!!! Stay away!!! First off, they took off my pool solar...when that wasn't in the contract. The pool solar was t supposed to come down. However, they only took off half of the pool solar infrastructure...and left the other half JUST HANGING FROM THE SIDE OF MY HOUSE! Anytime is was windy...the pipe banged against my bedroom wall. I don't explained the issue...and basically said it wasn't their problem. They hired a company to install...and that is their problem! This is what the Director of Sales said to me...before he stopped returning my calls. They agreed that they made a mistake taking off the solar panels and they would replace it...but...they put up used panels...and they cut the wires to the control panel...and they won't replace that. I was quoted 1k to fix that. Also, my breaker box was in a cabinet in my garage(my garage is remodeled). They knew this. The inspector said the breaker box can't be in a cabinet. The inspector had to come 3 times. Yep, 3 times. And why did the inspector have to come 3 times? Well, because the company never came out to fix the problem. They just left it. For a month. Also, they didn't put enough solar panels to cover my electric bill. It has been months...and my lowest bill has been over $400....the highest has been $650. If you are reading this...just don't take the chance. They lied. They won't make the situation right. I still have pipes hanging off the side of my house. We are extremely unhappy with 1Solar and they are impossible to speak with anyone that has a clue. We "bundled" our energy efficiency to include solar, windows and appliances. NEVER were we told that they don't actually schedule the windows, and we had to do so, so this was super delayed. We also used the company they said to which has since gone out of business and no way to figure out how to use that warranty on the windows now?!?! We still pay an energy bill on top of our solar (more than the $18 connection fee we were told we would pay). They also put some of our panels on our Portico that actually caused damage and now it leaks when it rains. The sales man we worked with upsold is the world and then they didn't deliver on any of it and when we finally spoke with a a"manager" we were told the salesman essentially lied to us about everything. 10/10 DO NOT use this company! read more

I have been experiencing a leak in my roof since the installation and turns out they cracked the shingles when the panels were installed. My neighbor who installed panels with the same company at the same time had similar issues. Now, one of my panels is out and it has only been 3 years since installation. Got ours in June 2020. These guys were supposed to install new panels. They installed used stuff. Got caulking on the panels aswell. Left it unfinished until I sent a notice of breach of contract. Also did not install all equipment or credit to my first 2 months bills. Do not do business with them. The system and install if I had purchased myself would have been about 10k. With them it was 45k. And they can't even provide an itemized breakdown. It equates to about 400 an hr+ read more

I signed up for this solar on 6/30/2022 to this day 6/2/2023 is still don't have service and they told me today it'll be another week. Too many problems to mention, and when I call customer service no one picks up the phone when I text takes days for a response. Everyone I have talked to has been nice but they just tell me what I want to hear. I work in customer service so I'm very patient I think waiting a year to get solar proves that. Was told I get reimbursed for the months I've paid for the panels while not running, I circle back to that with customer service and the answer was we'll have to see how much productivity was loss. Every energy bill has been extremely high with no indication that the panels are working so we reach out to the company and they say it may be a battery issue and connect us with Michael. He then tells us without ever sending anyone to check the battery that we (1 adult and 2 children under 10) are using too much energy and they can cut our bill in half if we buy another 120k in panels. Had solar panels on my home in FEBRUARY, 2024. Tomorrow is August 1, 2024 - and they are still not activated! Excuses, promises to "make it right" and 7 months later still giving space to a solar company without any benefit! They owe ME for the last seven months, and for their inability to complete the contract. The installation was purposefully timed to be able to save money during June, July and August! Since purchasing my new home I have always feared solar companies damaging my roof. After numerous companies coming to my door to sell a solar system, I caved to 1Solar. They promised the world, save me money, prevent or fix any roof/tile damage they cause, send me pictures of the panel installation, and guarantee their workmanship. WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL$--t!. Not only did they not send me pictures of the completed work, I found numerous broken tiles and a leak in my roof! I made numerous attempts to resolve this matter through 1Solar's customer service dept. They told me that the supervisor of the installation team would set up an appointment to inspect the damage. After 1 month of waiting, I received no call. So now I have to decide to I wait for 1Solar to respond, or take care of the damages out of my own pocket. I had several roofing companies come out to do an inspection and they all concur that the broken tiles were a result of someone stepping on them and the leak caused by improper flashing when the solar panel conduits where installed through the roof into the attic. Something I want to share that I never considered. One inspector told me that he sees so many improper installations because these solar panel installers are more likely not trained "roofers" and only know how to drill holes and install panels and have no idea what it takes to properly work on roofs. read more

The team at 1Solar made it very easy to communicate, and the installation time was faster than I thought. February 8, 2023 Update: After over 230 days since I signed a contract with 1Solar, I've finally gotten everything I was owed. I've gotten a check from the company for the rebates I was owed from Jarrod Eichwald, and they reimbursed me for four months of payments while my system wasn't working. And I'm happy for a few of the people in the Customer Care department who won't have to read my complaints about how this company treated me. But I can't recommend 1Solar to anyone to get solar for their home. I do have some constructive criticism for 1Solar, and a few warnings for people who may consider using them. 1Solar needs to abide by whatever their sales people say they will do for the customer. I don't care if they're third party employees who are contracted. They're representing your company, your service. If they say you will do XYZ work for the solar, you do it, and then coach the sales rep on why they shouldn't have done that. For you customers - get EVERYTHING in writing. I know that goes without saying, and I know better. I had the rebate in writing, but I should have included a deadline for any rebates to be paid to me. Each and every technician I had at my property was super nice, and knowledgable, but the superiors and managers need some customer care training. I'm happy with the solar system, and that I'm a slightly free from NVEnergy raising electricity pricing. I'm happy I'm helping out to reduce our consumption, and am looking forward for the summer months. I'm happy with the app that shows me the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly performance. I'm going to watch to see if my output is what was outlined in the contract. And I'll give 1Solar the benefit of the doubt for now. We'll see how any issues with the system and how they handle maintenance and warranty issues goes. read more

This company is a scam! They promised no payment until 90 days after solar turned on. We had to make payments 4 months before solar turned on. We had our first power outage and none of the battery backup was hooked up properly. Our bathrooms have power but nothing we wanted to have backup power has it. Cant get ahold of anyone either. read more

We signed our paperwork in October and were told we'd be up and running by Christmas. We were not up and running until April. The last several days the app indicates that the panels are not producing energy, but support doesn't respond when I reach out. 1Solar subcontracted another company to relocate our pool solar, and they have not paid that company which has reached out to me because 1Solar is apparently not responding to them either. They are now looking to me for the $1,600 they are owed. We still waiting for our rebate check as well. This is a terrible company and I regret using them. read more

September 26 update. Still waiting for 1Solar to upgrade my electrical service panel. I've been in discussion with one person in their main Customer Service area, and he's been very patient and helpful. But at this point, I never want to speak to Jarrod Eichwald, my original salesperson, ever again. On August 9 I notified him via text that I had posted the original review, and within 20 minutes he called me saying he didn't appreciate the "threat". He then went on to say that he had contacted 1Solar and they would be contacting me about getting everything fixed and installed , and that he would check with me the next day to make sure they had. And NOTHING. No contact from 1Solar that I didn't initiate, NO contact from Jarrod. Apparently he's a consultant who doesn't work directly for 1Solar, but he was their sales representative. Currently, I'm waiting for 1Solar to contact me about scheduling the service panel upgrade, I'm waiting for Jarrod to send me the $500 referral (a friend got Solar from my initial meeting with Jarrod - their install went just fine), the $125 refund for NOT needing the Nest Thermostat (I already had the latest one), and for the Critter Guard netting to go around my solar installation to prevent pigeons from nesting under the panels. I'm also still waiting for the $420.33 reimbursement from 1Solar for the NV Energy disconnect charge. And today I received a check from 1Solar, but not my NVEnergy reimbursement, but because they installed an inferior panel system than what I paid for. read more

I hope everybody that buys shops around. I didn't for my solar, but I got great service and believe a fair deal. My elderly father on the other hand, I believe 1Solar took advantage of him. I referred my dad to the company I used. Not sure why he ended up going with 1Solar a year or so later. Sadly, my dad passed away this year. After going thru everything in his house, I came across a payoff statement for his solar. I was shocked to find out that he was being charged about $14k more than my house. And my house is 750 Sq ft bigger than his house. His payment on his solar is $200/mo. There's no way that his electric bill, without solar, is $200/mo for 1550 Sq ft. There's nobody in their right mind that would buy this house and assume this loan on the solar. I'm sad that my dad never discussed with me his plans to go with this company, even more sad that a company like this would take advantage of the elderly by overcharging. The panels have been shut off for months now, so I'm not even sure if they were working properly or if my dad ever had issues with them. And shame on Goodleap for dealing with crooks. Ugh. Please be aware that the salespeople lie. I was told I'd "just have to pay NV Energy ~$35/month". When I complained about my $200+ bill each month last year, I was told that I needed to go through a full year to see the benefits. I have had an increasingly frustrated experience with this company. The original install crew installed the circuit breaker in my house electric panel incorrectly. I had to call them over a dozen times to get a visit to check it out. Now almost 12 months from original install, over half of my panels do no produce as they should. They blame it on shading. There're no shade except the roof peak. They refuse to send out someone to check on the problem. Do not spend your money with them. Go elsewhere. read more

Our unfortunate experience with 1Solar began with a referral from a family member in August 2022. Patrick was our salesperson and came over to our house with his friend/business partner to discuss the needs of our home. Our home is unique in that a solar panel system was built with the home (through Sunnova) but the production wasn't enough to cover all of our energy use. We want an additional system to cover what the first solar panel system wasn't. We also have a pool and wanted to heat it using solar energy. We received a quote from our solar panel company and to add on to our existing system with them would cost over $70k. That seemed a little high so we didn't follow through with them. All of this we explained this to Patrick and he admitted that adding panels and a system is not something they normally do, their installers are used to only installing systems in homes with no other solar panels. But he was confident that it could be done. He also offered as an additional incentive to reimburse us for the cost of an electric pool heater and pay for the installation. We received our quote, significantly lower than our other solar company's quote, and decided to go for it. We bought the pool heater and was reimbursed. After that is where the problems begin. The installation of the panels was problematic as well. They couldn't install the panels because they didn't have the right brackets. Then they said the brackets were the wrong color and wouldn't match the brackets on my other system. They also said their panels would sit a little higher than our other panels because of the design of their brackets and they didn't think their supervisors would approve of that. They wanted them flush with the other existing panels. I asked them if the height of the brackets would affect either the old or new panels being installed? They said no. I said install them. So they installed them. Then we waited for final inspection. The final inspection request was in and we were waiting for NV Energy to come out, review our system, and approve. If it was approved the meter would be activated that day. We waited for NV Energy to come out, conduct their final inspection, and if it passes activate our net meter same day. The first time NV Energy came out to inspect our system the NV Energy electrician reviewed our system and failed it. He talked to us in detail about why the system failed the final inspection. It needed an AC Disconnect. We called 1Solar immediately, told them exactly what NV Energy said and they put in a service request to have their technician come to our home and fix the issue of installing an AC Disconnect. February 2023 is when the 1Solar technician comes out to fix the issue. After he says it's complete, 1Solar Customer Service & I called NV Energy and set up another final inspection. NV Energy came out again and failed our system again. Why? Same issue as before: install an AC Disconnect. Now I'm upset. I call and emailed 1Solar again and tell them we've failed again. 1Solar Customer service schedules another call for the issue to be fixed. 1Solar's technician came out, rewired their system to connect to the AC Disconnect of our other solar panel system, and told us that's what NV Energy wanted to see. 1Solar Customer Service scheduled another final inspection for NV Energy. NV Energy comes out and fails our system again and the reason: Install AC Disconnect AND Re-wire solar panel system. Are you kidding? It's April 2023...six months after signing our contract and we still have no service. Nothing. What's worse is the solar panel system that came with our house also doesn't work now because 1Solar disconnected it to install their system. So I have to deal with that company as well. I regret this entire process and hate that I was referred to them. Hate that I trusted them to provide a service. Hate that I took out a loan. Hate that I didn't just stick with what I had. read more

The worst solar company to go with in Vegas. This company came to our door and sold on us what they said was a great product. Our mistake was not doing more research and getting more then one option. They placed our panels down in April-May 2022. The whole summer we paid over 200$ on our NVEnergy bill, plus the cost of the panels. During the winter our bill has been 50-70$ a month. After all the hoops I put this company through I just gotta say. They are amazing!!! So professional, friendly and true to their word. I have one more step to go before I start generating my own power. That means I now have to wait for NV Energy to do their part. I was present for every part of this job and each and every division did their thing on time and was extremely friendly. I took pictures at every junction as well as them taking pictures on my roof and sending them to me. The job was done cleanly, everything matches my house color. The wires are in the attic, not over the roof. The conduit was painted to match my house. So it all blends in. I have to give major kudo's to Conner Matty (Project Manager) When I say I put them through the wringer I am not joking. When we first met I didn't even let him in the house. At first, the install was chaotic due to the placement of the panels. The installers, at first, did not think the panels could be installed where it was originally planned. They had their engineer and other expert employees discussing the problem but at the end of the day, the original placement was correct. Other problems were the electricians; we finally had the more knowledgeable electrician towards the end of the job. Very unorganized; our sales rep., Jojo, was supposed to be our point of contact but she was nowhere to be found during the installation and of course after that. Because of all the problems, Jojo promised to have the pigeon guard done for us (of course we did not get that in writing) and after numerous text messages, she was unresponsive. It took approximately 2 months to finally get the solar done, very chaotic & we felt lost throughout that period of time. My recommendation is NOT to hire this company. I believe that no one knows what the left hand is doing from the right and crew goes in all direction. Forget the sales rep, nowhere to be found after you sign the contract. We turned down several other companies but Jojo seemed sincere and knowledgeable. Our BIG mistake is not doing more research about the company, including reviews about the company. read more
