He could have also sourced me a new gaming laptop with the best speeds and processing power but of course- out of my budget. I had a bad drive with important data on it and by thinking outside the box Calvin got me access to the drive and I was able to recover my data and store it in the cloud. Eventually that computer died and I had issues with getting the same full software functions running on the new computer. Some of the upgrades that came with my new computer actually severely limited my productivity. In around 30 minutes Calvin had my full functions back and tweaked the UI to my liking. When I called them, they laid out all the possible paths we could take, as well as an honest assessment of whether the phone was worth saving. The staff was super nice and explained every step clearly. My phone was stuck in a boot loop (constantly turning on and off), making it impossible to perform a backup. I had very important photos that weren't saved to iCloud, so I paid the initial $79 diagnostic fee for them to open it up and assess the damage. A few days later, they managed to get into the phone and even sent me a picture of it working! They successfully triggered an iCloud backup, and I was able to see all my saved photos on my new phone. They gave me a completely honest breakdown: because of internal corrosion, making it fully water-resistant again would be costly, so they suggested just keeping it as a backup device. The Apple Store quoted me $600 for a replacement unit and refused to repair my device or recover my data. YeaMac charged me the $79 diagnostic fee plus $200 for the repair/corrosion cleaning, saving my data and saving me money. 10/10 customer service! I'd choose them over Apple any day.

I took it down to Farhad, and he confirmed I had a worm/virus. He fixed it within a couple days, and installed an Anti-Malware program for me, all for a very reasonable price. Farhad is a miracle worker, in my mind. On a previous occasion, when the same computer went blue-screen, he was able to save my photos when I thought they were all gone. I cried at the thought, thinking that all the pictures and videos of my kids could be gone forever. He didn't sugar coat anything about the prognosis, but said he would do his best. He prepared me for the worst. He encouraged me to buy a backup drive after that episode. I did, and I feel so much more at peace knowing that if my computer does crash, at least my photos will be safe.
