Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

He uses a program on his computer with pre-programmed labor rates for absolutely everything. Nick replied quickly when I asked about getting my microwave repaired. At 16 years old, he recommended replacing it, and helped me ensure the one I bought from Lowes was the correct make and model. The tech that came out texted me when he was an hour out, which was a helpful amount of time because it narrowed the window but not by so much that if I had been busy I wouldn't have been able to break and let him in the house. Did a great (quick) job with install and cleaned up the kitchen area / took the old appliance out of the building after. Already using them again to help diagnose / repair an issue with my partner's washing machine. Fingers crossed that one won't need to be replaced! It turned out to be a really minor issue with the dishwasher and he was honest about this and didn't make unnecessary repairs or overcharge. The impressive part was the quick response from Vlad who is the owner and a technician. He was able to send someone the next day. The person figured it out and got it fixed. However, something was off on the repair which I noticed and Vlad again quickly came out to correct it. These days it's hard to get the type of attention and response from most businesses. Also things inevitably go wrong and you want to make sure you can trust a business to correct any issues. They do both very well!
