Backyard setting with al covered picnic style benches and tables. The owner is super sweet and she's now joined by her daughter. They also have hot dogs on the menu. The only downside to this place is that the hours of operation are inconsistent. The owners said it's because she recently a promotion at her regular job and had to switch up her schedule. So sometimes we drive by when they're supposed to be open ,only to see a lock on the gate. It's a seasonal shop as it is so if closed on a hot summer day it can be a bit disappointing but I get the reason . Overall the season closes just around Thanksgiving. Cash only. If you're lucky to catch them open it's a refreshing flavor filled treat.

Wow !!!! A little oasis in ENY Brooklyn …read more..... Been passing this Hawaiian Shave Ice Stand for the past few weeks finally had to stop today to get some relief form this heat .... Just take a look at this lil Stand, it's so welcoming nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and tropical colors a real Hawaiian theme going on which makes you feel like your on Vacation .... O, did I mention that they have Island music playing steel drums and all that Caribbean music which makes you forget all your worries !!! They provide shaded seating under a gazebo and what I really enjoyed was the water misters to keep you kool while waiting in line ..... Finally it was my turn to be served and this nice lady greeted me with a friendly smile and knew it was my first time here... she was so nice she explained how they make fresh snow as they call it, she actually made me a snow ball in the middle of July ... lol They shave block ice in a machine which turns it into fresh fallen snow ... then their flavor syrups get poured on top and the snow catches all the syrups just like it's gonna catch you !!! Over 100 flavor combinations to choose from & create .... I'm sold and will be back here with my girlfriend tomorrow night !!! Great spot for a lil date night .. Her name was Loreen and she let me sample a few flavors and every one she suggested was off the chain delicious!!! I finally decided to go with a large Hawaiian Sun Set which has guava, mango, pineapple & strawberry ... O and don't forget to add cream it's make the ice more creamy & delish !!! It's worth the .50 cents extra .... After hanging out here eating my ice I noticed that they serve Sabrett all beef hot dogs with all the yum yums !!! Sabrett Onions & Sauerkraut... I had to give them a try ... I went with the special 2 dogs & a soda for $ 5.50 great deal ... The dogs are fresh and had a nice snap when I bit into them... the onion & kraut was on point !!!! Glad I stopped in .... also got to see how the Lil kids really enjoy this shave ice stand .... A great spot to bring the family ... the kids will definitely love this place .... Thanks Loreen for the great service & awesome Shave Ice & delicious hot dogs brought back great memories from when I was a kid ... I will definitely be back & refer all my friends & family as well as my coworkers....

It came out as a thick piece of deep-fried toast topped with ice cream, boba, caramel popcorn, and strawberries on the side. Not healthy at all, but really good. It's one of those desserts you probably wouldn't get every day, but worth trying at least once. Fun to share and definitely something different from the usual desserts.

They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!

After my first visit: This is my favorite ramen restaurant on the planet. It's my perfect…read morerestaurant - but not because of the ramen. Because of the desserts! First - Tonkotsu (pork) ramen was perfectly balanced. The broth was deeply flavorful but not heavy, almost like an 80/20 hybrid of tonkotsu and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. Noodles were springy and not overcooked, and the roasted pork had a slightly smoky flavor and was flavorful itself, not just protein and texture like many other ramen joints. We also had the edamame appetizer - super flavorful and addictive, and we wound up ordering a second one (for our party of four) after devouring the first one. Now here's why it's my favorite ramen restaurant- my favorite dessert is banana pudding, and Tonchin's signature Tokyo banana dessert is an elevated banana pudding that makes magnolia bakery look like amateur hour. Plenty of fresh banana and a carmelized banana on the side with a balanced pudding that's not too heavy - this is peak banana pudding. So it has my favorite ramen and favorite dessert. But can it do better? Yes. It can also have...my second favorite dessert! Tonchin has excellent shave ice desserts that reminded me of Korean bingsu. We had the strawberry and it was fresh, bright and had lots of strawberry flavor. Delightful. Service was excellent and the ambiance of the space is dark and elevated. I liked this place so much I bought a hat.

We finished a tour of Michelin recognized casual restaurants here…read more I didn't order right. I did the dipping noodles and they were too salty for me. I've had them before so I knew what to expect but it was way too salty, less flavorful. Had a very nice flavor, the salt overpowered it though. I tasted mushroom. The sauce stuck to the noodles well and the noodles were delicious. My daughter and husband ordered the spicy ramen and they said it was very very good. Couldn't decipher distinctly from other top notch ramen so it wasn't knock your socks off. From now on I'll order the base dish when I go places so I can judge better. The gyoza was cooked very nicely, came sizzling and the bun with meat was a little ugly, it looked boiled and unappetizing. The taste was just okay. The topping on it was notable. The waitress didn't help us at all when ordering. We weren't bowled over with the food, although it was noted the meat in the ramen was high level. It hit the spot but I will try other places in the search for our "return forever" ramen place.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.

This was definitely anything but a Sweet Moment…read more I came here fully influenced by Instagram and TikTok. The shaved ice looked dreamy, fluffy, and full of flavor. What I got instead was a cup of sadness with commitment issues. The shaved ice somehow had no flavor. None. I have had ice cubes straight from my freezer with more personality. Easily the most disappointing dessert I have had in NYC, and I have been living here my whole life, so please take that as you will. I kept waiting for the "sweet moment" to arrive and it never did. Just me, flavorless ice, and regret. If you are craving dessert, keep walking. This was a moment, yes, but sweet it was not.

It was filled with people working/studying and small groups of people just relaxing and catching up with their friends. I tried their new portobello sandwich. It had arugula and pesto. Always such a great cafe to catch up with friends over drinks and desserts…read more I really like how late cafe abundance is usually opened until because I am the type to always want something sweet after a good meal. Because of this reason and because their desserts are always great, I find myself coming back again and again! This time I got the mango bingsoo and the cookie butter croffle which were both delicious! Their bingsoo is always so fluffy which I really like and the mango flavor is super strong as well so it doesn't feel like I'm having plain bingsoo once I get to the middle. The croffles from here are always sooo good. They're so chewy and warm which was super comforting for the cold weather that has been going on recently. This place is self service so the only interaction you have with the staff is when ordering. They are always super patient and helpful. The cute cafe has quite a bit of seats as well but because it is pretty popular around the area, it does fill up quite quickly.

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!
