Decided to try this place while in town for the weekend. Wow! Everything was delicious. The vibe is great and the service was also great. We ordered the salad, pork chop, and fries. Everything was great, flavor was 10/10. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some good food!

We loved it! Comfortable and not stuffy ambience Friendly attentive and helpful service Our table ordered the following and loved every bit! Baked Brie enough to share 3-4 people. Completely melted and still warm. Loved the toast Brussel sprouts flatbread special app generous portion and amazing flavors Brussel sprout salad more like a slaw but very good. Enough to share Brisket mushroom stroganoff. Ohio City pasta. Well coated with a rich comforting sauce and tasty tender brisket! Strip steak on corn risotto with burratta cheese and small salad. Easy dish to skip a sep salad with this entree. All in one! The strip was a huge thick cut and a Kalamata olive tapenade. All of these flavors and I could not resist ordering this. It did not disappoint, worth every bit of the $48 price Shared a slice of house made carrot cake. Moist and classic And a berry crumble with ice cream. Cranberries I. This made for a tart twist. But the vanilla ice cream balanced it all out We loved 1815 for our first visit. We will def be back!

Stroganoff delight!

What a great surprise! An immaculate interior, a comfortable patio area, a cordial greeter at the door, and a wonderful server helped us greatly since we announced we were first time visitors. The food was relatively expensive for the area, but well worth the price with our taste buds clamoring for more but we were too full to even have desert. The sirloin was absolutely perfect with and served with a tasty vegetable medley. The Stroganoff came with perfectly prepared linguine smothered in freshly grated parmesan cheese. The photos attest to the picture perfect presentation, but you really have to taste the food to appreciate perfection in Aurora!

Random find after a soccer game. Food was amazing my beef stroganoff was perfect and our waitress was prompt and very friendly. I will definitely come back.

We were were pleasantly surprised with this Tavern. Since the Aurora Outlet did not have any restaurants or food available, we cut our shopping trip short and headed for some much needed lunch. We sat in the room with the bar at some high table tops. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I loved the fact that this place has such history. The lady working there shared so many interesting stories. She showed me the fireplace, the old section of wood with little acorns still in there from a long time ago. Next time I need to make it a point to explore..

We visited The Barn for a work event and had an overall great experience. The bar was fully…read morestocked, so no concerns there--I ordered a sweet cocktail that I really enjoyed. We also had a couple bottles of wine at the table, which were good as well. For appetizers, we shared oysters, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. All of them were good, but the meatballs were my favorite. For my entrée, I ordered the prime rib. It was a bit saltier than I would have liked, but the sides helped balance it out. I really enjoyed the corn and mashed potatoes, and I also added mushrooms and onions, which helped offset the saltiness. In hindsight, I kind of wish I had ordered the filet mignon, as I suspect it wouldn't have been as salty. The bread at the beginning of the meal was also really good. Dessert was a standout--I got the turtle cake, and it was huge. It's definitely the best value on the menu. Three of us shared it and still couldn't finish it, though that may have also been due to the amount of food and drinks we had throughout the night. The food did take a while to come out, but the service remained good the entire time. We expected dinner to wrap up around 7:00, but we started at 5:30 and didn't finish until about 8:30--there were 16 of us, so it was understandable. Overall, a solid experience, especially for a group event.

I have lived in this area for many years. I know this is popular. I know a lot of people who have…read morecome here a lot. I just never have. I finally came here with some friends for the first time. We made reservations on a Monday because it's half price wine. Which is a pretty good deal. They have a nice wine list. I looked over the menu here on Yelp first so I kinda knew the options. Pasta is one of the most economical options. I do know they make their own. Which means cost is probably higher. But over $20 a plate for pasta is kinda crazy to me. All prices are over $20 a plate. Including pizza's. So this is not a casual dinner night in my mind. It is a 1x or 2x a year place. Because you know your bill is going to be high. We got the cheese sticks. They were good. Again looked homemade. The sticks were good. I got the eggplant, and someone got the cavatelli and meatballs, pasta pomodoro with meatballs and another eggplant. The eggplant comes With pasta side. Salad is extra. We did not get. They were pretty crowded for a Monday and it took a bit for our food. But we weren't in a huge hurry. So that is fine. It came out hot and was pretty good. Lots of cheese. Sauce is kinda bland if I am being honest. Very tomato forward with not a lot of other flavor except garlic. Oh this place loves garlic. The bread and the dipping sauce at the table are loaded with it. I am not a big garlic person so I did not touch it. But if you think Italian food should have a ton of garlic then this is for you. Work on your other flavor profiles as well in your sauce not just garlic. Server was very friendly and attentive. She worked hard to make sure we were happy. The place is small but fits people well. Decorated for Christmas nicely. Overall I guess it was just OK. Nothing blew me away. It was good. Not great. For the price I want great. Money is tight and a fancy Italian dinner at $70+ bucks a couple should be great. Maybe I am antiquated in my thoughts but that's a lot of money for pasta so it should be great. Probably not a repeat for me. Again. I know this is popular with rave reviews. For me just ok. I can spend $70+ bucks and get an outstanding meal worth that price. Just OK.

We have been here many times. It has to be good to make you want to travel 60 miles to dine here…read more For this visit and prior visits, the table was ready at the time of our reservation. The room was comfortable and felt warm, but noisy. The server was friendly and attentive. She made sure our glasses were filled, the delicious warm garlic rolls were available and the food was served at the right time. I would recommend the calamari and Caesar salad for openers. My veal masala was tasty. The veal was tender and the sauce was on the sweet side. My wife had a pasta with a Bolognaise ragu that was delicious and a very large portion. The deserts were worthwhile as well. In summary, an excellent choice for dinner. We'll be back.
