This might be the best pizza on the east side of Cleveland! It is truly NY style pizza, with a perfect crust, wonderful sauce and just the perfect amount of cheese. We got two pizzas. A 12 inch into 18 inch. The outer part of the crust was great, and keeps this rating a four. The middle crust could've been done a little more. The cheese to sauce ratio is a little bit off as you can see from the picture. The sauce was also too sweet. We had high expectations and had been really looking forward to trying this place. Great food every time we go ! Had their new Caesar Salad with Anchovies added very good. My husband had their sausage and green pepper pizza. I had a slice it was so good. The first time we had it the sauce and cheese combo was perfect, but it was thick Chicago style and too doughy. So we thought let's go for the thin because we loved everything but the crust. Soooo disappointed it did not taste like the sauce from our first time. The flavor profile could have been Dominoes or Marcos or any of those. Sad as we were so pumped. Wow!!! Just go! As we always do, we consulted Yelp when we found ourselves in a city we've never been, to help us decide what to have for dinner. The reviews for Pizzeria DiLauro convinced us that we must go. One of the reasons we were drawn to this place was the reviews and photos of their house made meatballs. We quickly learned that their house made meatballs are only available on Wednesdays but the pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked incredible so we knew we were still going to have a great dinner. We chose the Luca pizza: pepperoni, pickled jalapenos and a drizzle of hot honey for good measure. The pizza was perfection! A beautiful, thin, crunchy crust, with a light sauce that let the toppings shine. I wouldn't change a thing about this pizza! The cocktails were well made and refreshing, as well. Two things I'd recommend: go early on Friday if you want to avoid a wait. We got there at 345p and had no problem getting a seat. But when we left at 515p, there were at least 15 groups patiently waiting for a table. Second recommendation - get the homemade cannoli! We had the orange cream on this visit and WOW was it delicious!! We will definitely be back - on a Wednesday to try the meatballs!!!! read more

A newer staple to the Chagrin Valley area. We have been here many times since it has opened. The pizza is the best in the area. Slightly on the expensive side but worth it. Next to the takeout spot they have a little bar and eating area. No kids allowed. I guess I get it. Service has always been friendly and prompt. Not many places around here do Sicilian style which is good to see. I haven't tried that style here but it looks promising. The NY style cheese was delicious and true to form. I've been following this spot on Instagram since it randomly came across my feed, while they were still building it out! I finally got to check it out and not do my usual chain restaurant pizza. I ordered on a Friday evening for carry out, forgetting just how busy a pizza joint can be as my off days fall during the week! Ordering online was easy using Toast but my wait was 105 minutes. No biggie, I got some stuff done around the house and headed over with 5 minutes to spare. There's a pickup window but I wanted to go inside. Very lively indoors, almost every table occupied both in and out. I believe one of the owners (Tiff?) was up front handing out orders with another lady at the register. Everybody was energetic and friendly. They let me know that my order should be coming up soon. I had an 18" Arrabiata and a 12" BLT. They were both checked before they were handed to me and Tiff let me know that the arugula and balsamic were in a little bag for me to dress the pizza when I got home. No wilted greens for this girl! I also ordered a scoop of Cookie Butter Gelato. Soooooooo good! I should have ordered another scoop for my husband. He ended up getting a small bite and the melted remains of what I brought home. I just moved back to Northeast Ohio after living on the East Coast for 20 years. It has been very hard to find a good New York style pizza since so much of what's available here seems to have a thicker crust. My family is admittedly pizza snobs, so it's hard to find something to please us all. While the pizza here is not true foldable New York slices, it is as close as we've found and it's consistently excellent. It's evident that the staff cares about the food they're putting out there! The crust is thin and chewy, but holds up the toppings well. They cook it well done, which is perfect to make sure the crust isn't soggy. The pizzas are unique and always tasty. When a friend said that this was the closest she had ever tasted to East Coast pizza, I had to try. I went early because I heard it can get pretty jammed up later in the evening, so my pizza was ready in 20 minutes, and I was beyond impressed with the quick friendly service. I also was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant - maybe my pizza places are normally a little more "seasoned." The pizza may have been like East Coast pizza, but it reminded me of my favorite pizza place growing up outside of Pittsburgh. I've pretty much hunted my whole life to find a pie that was similar to Pub and Pizza and have never even come close. This is it though and when I feel like grabbing a quick pizza even though it's 40 minutes from my house, this will be the place I go. Thin delicious crust. First time trying this. The staff was friendly when walking in to pickup (no dining in right now). I ordered the "Luca." According to the website it's a "classic cheese base, pepperoni, pickled jalapeño, and Mike's Hot Honey." Upon opening the box, it was a bit of a bummer to find out that the hot honey is just a packet they give you versus a key ingredient to this pie. The pizza is on the thin side and a bit greasy. I didn't really taste the pickled part of the jalapeños. Just tasted like an ordinary pepper. Overall flavor was okay. Nothing to write home about. The crust is on the sweeter side, which I generally like, but it literally tastes like they just added a sweetener to the crust itself, not the pizza as a whole. The menu has a nice variety and I'd probably try this again, hoping for something a bit more flavorful with one of the other options. read more

We have been meaning to try Pizzeria DiLauro since they opened, and finally did. It is delicious! I love east coast style pizza, and this is the closest I have found to NYC a style pizza in the Cleveland area. The dough is crispy and delicious, and the cheese is just greasy enough! The pepperoni is the same style used at Geraci's, which is my favorite pepperoni. At $20 for an 18 inch cheese pie, we probably won't be eating here when it's all 4 of us, but it's a great treat when it's just the two of us! read more

Pizzeria DiLauro is my favorite. We have never had an issue, always consistently delicious, and they quality check every order before passing it on to the customer. We love adding Mike's Hot Honey to every pie. Our faves include cheese, cheese with red onion and mushroom, white, and pepperoni. Always well-done. The salad with green goddess dressing is fantastic. Another favorite. They are always on time with our takeaway and always greet me with a, Hi Lindsay!, I feel like Norm! Every employee is smiling and polite. And yes, we are there a lot.
