Don't you think it's over priced to just get a screen protector on for $20. This is would be my last go to store to get my screen fixed. I walked around looking and every phone case that was on the wall was 20$ the same as the screen protector.... The guy did twice because he messed up the first one.... it was really awkward.. there was also a owl that was a used to be jello box there which you put money into. read more

Came here to get my screen fix. Very very fast and professional! :) Tyler, Dennis, and Jason were so patient with my ever-so demanding and technologically challenged mother!! 10/10 would recommend!! read more

Dennis was a great help to fixing my camera for my Samsung Galaxy S4. He tested the new camera piece for free then it wasn't working well so he told me to come back if I considered fixing my cracked camera for $20. $15 for part and $5 for installment. He would order part for me. I came back because my phone started acting up after he tested camera part. My phone wasn't connecting to mobile network. I called in T-Mobile and they had me do everything such as sim card testing and factory reset. They said I can pay for a new device since it still wasn't working. Dennis fixed my connection and camera all at once when I came back. It still cost me $20, whereas for the trouble he could have discounted it for me. Then again, Dennis knew his stuff so I didnt complain. read more

Had my iPhone 6 Plus's screen replaced by some guy I found on Craigslist. The screen kept on coming off.. Called the guy up twice and he said my phone's frame is bent every time. On top of that I could barely see the screen he installed with polarized sunglasses on. I found this place nearby and gave it a try. They offered the regular screen and a higher quality screen for a little more. For some reason I trusted the guy and went w the more expensive one and I'm glad I did. Can see the screen with and without glasses and I guess my phone wasn't bent after all. Screen's been on for months now with no problems. Went back a couple days ago for a new battery on the phone and no problems since. Simply put, nice guys, know what they're doing and you will be satisfied walking out. Definitely recommended. read more

I think I got scammed by this store. I went there to change my screen and the person works there told me $90 for a "authentic" screen from apple. But now my screen cracks easier than an egg. The white part under the screen is falling apart. It is a total mess. Just to let you know be aware of the "real" apple screen that they are trying to sell you. read more

Came here to have a new battery installed into my iPhone 8. After initially feeling ignored, was greeted and was taken care of in a timely manner. Even though the glass covering my iPhone was broken during the battery replacement, they apologized and fixed it for free. Overall good service, thus the four stars. Had I been greeted upon arrival, I would have given five stars. read more

So I came to this place after reading reviews on yelp and finding one from a person who had the same exact problem with the power button on the S3 as me. All in all, I am very pleased with the service. I walked in, got helped right away, described the issue, got quoted a price, gave a deposit and left my phone there for them to fix. They seemed pretty backed up and told me the repair would be done by the end of the day, which was fine with me. When the repair was done, I got a call to pick it up. They had a list of issues to check on the phone just to make sure everything was working fine before I paid my bill. Now my phone works great! I would definitely come again if I had another issue or wanted to buy some cell phone accessories. read more

Kind of late, but this place deserves the review. I was lucky enough to be given a Nexus 6, with the only issue being a broken screen. Updated review: My protective screen cracked again within a 3 month period so here I am again at 168 fix it! This time Phuong helped me replace my screen on the spot. Quick and friendly service as usual. This place does NOT disappoint:) Wonderful customer service from Taylor and Jason. I dropped my iPhone 6 on a recent travel and the screen cracked, despite having a protection glass done at the store. Taylor recommended a thicker phone protector and I immediately bought one (recommended by Jason) that day so that it gives extra protection in case I drop it again. I felt very comfortable expressing my concerns with the employees here because they were so friendly! Highly recommend if you have screen cracks/phone problems (and they are fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English). Keep it up guys! read more

Sorry, but have to do this review.... After starting my year with cracking my cellphone screen I used Yelp as as I do to find someone use to replace it. I called around and found this place spoke to Ernesto last week. After speaking to other places I asked him questions he didn't ask me like do I need to come in and order etc he stated nope he would call me when it's in. I'm thinking great like the reviews. Today I call to follow up because I haven't heard back. Ernesto states he wrote my number wrong and basically didn't place the order for my new screen. Then it goes on that I need to come in and order, then after verifying the process 2x over the phone he texts me and quotes me higher. I could have went to someone else and had this done already, but the excuse I got is I am New! Come on if your new you don't answer what you know! Sorry but if this is how this place treats customers I'm out and you should be too. Guess the term it's to good to be true is legit! read more

About 2 months ago, my mom broke her iPhone 7 Plus screen. After do research on Yelp, I decided to come to 168 fix it to have it repaired, since the shop offer the service with an affordable price. Because of other reviews, I brought my Nexus 5 here for fixing the power button. BIG MISTAKE. When I first went into the store, I was help by the manager/owner who seems to be knowledgeable. The quoted price is decent, $40. So I left my phone for repair. They called me to pick up my phone a few hours later. As soon as I received my phone, I noticed there is a big gap between the back cover and the phone. The technician responded "It is normal to have a gap after the back cover is open" . Really? I paid you $40 to crack my phone? As I insisted, another technician came over and opened the phone in front my again. And I found that at least three of the plastic hocks on the back cover are broken. And the metal frame near power button is also broken! When I asked them to replace the back cover as they damaged it, the first technician told me to read the contract that says they are not responsible for breaking anything. What a responsible repair shop! And as I am inspecting my phone, another customer came in to repair her Nexus 5 screen. And I heard the technician told her that the proximity sensor may not work after replacing the screen. I don't know how it received other non-negative feedback. In my case, the job is horrible! I cannot speak for other phone. But if yours is a Nexus 5, stay away. read more

They may not always get it right the first time, but they surely do not stop until you are happy. In regards to my previous review, the manager wasted no time to make sure the customer was satisfied. After having the review posted, I was contacted by the manager with apologies for the service and was offered to come back in if I had not yet fixed my phone. Luckily the shipment hadn't arrived yet, so I took my phone in - it was an offer I could not refuse. These newly achieved five stars go to sincerity, generosity, and product. I can now go back to wasting hours on my phone- without having to read through and around the spider web cracks that just got in the way. read more

BEWARE THIS SHOP. I went to this shop to replace the broken screen of my LG G2 smartphone. They replaced it for $120, and it looked good. I came home and fit the phone in its original case. But with the new screen put in place by this shop, my phone did not fit in its original case. I pressured several times (just normal pressure, not so heavy) to fit the phone in the case to no avail. I brought the phone to the shop and demonstrated that it didn't fit. The serviceman there tried and he also found it didn't fit. Now the real problem starts. The serviceman tried several times to fit the phone in the case. Then I found, on the NEW screen, a crack and several lines due to the crack. Surprised by the crack and lines, I asked what they were. The serviceman just assumed , and told me that I did it because I pressured too hard at home. But I didn't see any crack on the new screen at home. I saw the crack only after he tried to fit the phone in the case several times at the shop. I asked either refund or replacing the cracked new screen. But the shop refused. All this happened within one hour after I picked up my phone from the shop. This whole process was really annoying. 1) The new screen didn't allow the phone to sit nicely in the case, so I had to drive my car back to the shop. 2) With just normal pressure, the screen cracked again. Neither the serviceman nor I exerted excessive pressure on the phone. 3) The serviceman insisted that I made the crack but no evidence to prove his argument. He just didn't want to be responsible for this. 4) The shop refused to refund; they didn't want to replace the cracked new screen with a good one, saying that I am the one who made the physical damage. 5) They kept saying that the screen manufacturer wouldn't replace the cracked screen. They were afraid of the manufacturer, and thus sacrificing consumers. I told the serviceman that I will describe this whole process on Yelp. The serviceman's response was jaw-dropping: "Please do. We have only two negative comments so far." If I interpret, this is what he has in mind: "Do whatever you want to do. It wouldn't damage our business because we are well reviewed with only two negative comments on Yelp." From his comment, it is clear that all they care about is money. I told them I would file a complaint to FTC. With this, the shop changed their attitude and suggested that they would compensate me $40, which is the labor cost. I refused and will file a complaint to FTC. Don't use this shop. Around Alhambra, Los Angeles, and Pasadena, there are so many competitive cellphone repair shops. Google "smartphone repair los angeles, alhambra, pasadena" and you will find tons of shops. Thank you for reading. read more
