RUN RUN RUN! HELD PHONE HOSTAGE BECAUSE OF YELP REVIEW, COPS NEVER SHOWED UP!! Just get a new phone, save time,money and energy. I broke my phone screen back in October of 2024. I called the business to confirm they could do the repair. When I called no one answered but I got a call back told the man on the phone what I needed. He said they could do it, I agreed to stop by after work since this business is down the street. I stopped in Oct 25, the guy looked at my phone PIXEL 7 Pro, said they could do it again and let me know the price $165. I agreed, he asked for a $60 Zelle deposit, ordered the part and told me it would arrive in a few days. I go back the 28th to drop off the phone after work, get a text the 28th that the phone is ready. At pickup the employee is having issues with the screen not responding, side buttons not working. Tells me part is defective and they will need to replace it AGAIN. The new screen was replaced AGAIN and I was on my way. A few days later I AGAIN started to have issues with the screen/phone not responding, it would just freeze. So I brought the phone back. The screen was replaced a 3rd time now. It just didn't work the same after, when viewing PDF or anything online my screen looked like the info was redacted. This was annoying but I could get by if I zoomed out. So I was like I'll make my way back but with holidays and life never got around to it. After the new year I started to notice a black spot forming around the front facing camera, this was concerning because it would be a matter of time till it became an issue. I went back to the phone place January 3rd, the employee SAM said it was my fault and I was out of warranty. I was frustrated at this point because I'd had come back a few times already and he was saying it was my fault. I asked to speak to someone else, explained the situation and he agreed to replace the screen under the warranty I was originally given. The business is going off the date I paid for the deposit not the day the work was actually done. The manager Kevin also mentioned warranty would continue after the replacement. I went back 1/11 after 2pm, I had let the employee know I would be there after 2. I show up at 2:06 and he's out to lunch. I texted the number because I'm frustrated with this guy. He implies it's my fault, maybe it's the language barrier but we agreed over text. This is the kind of customer service you find in Mississippi LOL On 1/24 my phone screen stopped responding went BLACK. Not even the side buttons would respond. The phone just froze and started dialing 911 so I had to LEAVE work to go drop it off. When I get there the business is CLOSED, thankfully there was another guy waiting and he got the employee to come out to hand him a speaker. I explained to him what the issue was and he was like sit down I need to look at it, I waited about 10 minutes before I called to get his attention, I had to yell out twice before the employee came out. I asked for a receipt because I was dropping the phone off since I needed to get back to work. Got back to work around 2:25 pm, after work I asked my partner to go check in with the phone guy to see if he'd looked at my phone since he told me it wouldn't be ready till Monday. I also posted the YELP review that I was holding off on. When we got to the business the employee SAM was smoking a cigarette outside. My partner asked about my phone and at this point the employee told him it was my fault for sitting on it and he would not give my phone back until I took it down. We called Monterey Park PD but they never showed up, we waited for over and hour. The business closes at 7 pm. At this point I was want the phone back and this to be over, so I ask the employee for my phone he says he will give it back ONLY if he reversed whatever work he did. The receipt that was provided to me did not have an estimate NOR did the employee contact us to let us know what the issue was. He claims the screen soldering came off because I sat on the phone. I'm not sure how this happens especially after the screen was just replaced. I agreed to have him just give me the phone back. He gave me that phone in a worse condition that I gave it to him he didn't even bother to attach the screen properly. Do your research, the prices might be good but it will cost you so much more and you still will need a new phone. Overall, I would not recommend anyone to come in to fix their phones no matter how inexpensive and "decently" priced the repair costs. I essentially lost out on $120 because the repair broke, so my iPhone 11 Pro Max is back to how it was originally before the owner attempted to fix it. And the 60 day warranty they guarantee you is not guaranteed at all. This will be a lengthy review because I want everyone to be aware of what exactly they will get into when they come to this store. Prior to arriving, I made a phone call to ask for a quote. They told me for a premium screen replacement for an iPhone 11 Pro Max, it will cost $120, which was much cheaper than every place I've called for a quote which was at least $150 and up. Hearing that price, I immediately gained hope and drove to the store. Upon arrival at the store, I see two people. One at the phone desk and another that came from the back, possibly the owner? I claimed that I made a phone call earlier in the day, but they were both confused. This was not a problem, since they probably get a handful of calls. I just want to point out that there can be miscommunication happening here, which definitely happened down the line... I brought up that I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and would like to get a premium screen replacement, which means that the LED screen will attempt to resemble the original LED colors as much as possible. The owner wrote up my info on the receipt, and he took it to the back, and within 20 minutes, the screen was fixed! The owner typically offers a complimentary phone case to the customers, however, he did not have my phone's model, so he gave me a USB charger cable instead which was great. After checking out the screen and turning on/off the phone and adjusting the screen brightness, the phone was in working condition, and I was ready to pay. The owner said their credit card reader is broken, so there's only two options: cash or Zelle. Luckily, I did read other Google reviews and the previous customers stated there were many problems with the credit card reader, so I made sure to bring cash. When I left the store, I immediately called my cousin to share the great news that my phone was fixed, and noticed that the sound was extremely weird. The volume sounded very muffled, and it seemed like the phone was underwater(?) for lack of a better word. I confirmed with my cousin on the call that my voice sounded fine, however, her voice sounded muffled. I ended the call, and tested the music, and again, the same issue was happening so it seems like any sound from the other side of the phone has issues. I tried overlooking this for a few days, however, I could not bear the muffled sound anymore, and I made a store visit again. When I arrived at 6:30pm, I saw the owner was out in front, and he was in a COMPLETE deep sleep. I greeted him normally, and no response. I raised my voice and said excuse me loudly, and again no response. I tapped on the desk, I said hello for the nth time, and nothing. I was there for about five to seven minutes just calling out, tapping and knocking on the tables, and anything I could do to wake him before I gave up. I was honestly baffled as to what to do next, since I have never experienced this before. When I arrive there is literally a slot in the door- I hand him my phone and my cash. He never opens the door! My Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's screen cracked in a bad way where half the screen went blank white, and the upper half still would show images but wouldn't register touch. It was all fine and good with the communication to get it fixed. The screen they installed was an aftermarket which was fine. The issue was what happened after a few hours of having the phone. He gave the phone to me at 11:48 AM. He placed the phone back into the phonecase I had on it himself. I didn't think anything of it. The screen worked fine, everything seemed fine. At 6:46 PM, I go to change the case on my phone and the back of the phone fell off. I inspected the phone and noticed visible dents on the bottom of the phone probably from trying to take it apart. My phone was in prime condition besides the broken screen so things like this is very noticeable. I stuck the back part of the phone back onto my phone and put it into the case. This phone is supposed to be water resistant but I'm guessing the water-resistance is nil now. Honestly disappointed and wondering how they're going to fix this. No wonder they don't give receipts. Edit: seems like they lack response when there's an issue but once they want money they respond quick. Don't go here. They take cash only, no card and don't give receipts on purpose. read more

To begin with, please do not go here. Very poor customer service and very shady. So my partner had broken her screen on her phone. She found this place and decided to give them a try based yelp reviews. She took her phone in and the dude said he could fix it. Cool, took her money and "fixed it". After getting the phone back, she began to have issues with screen. Again no biggie, took it back to them. That's when it all started going downhill. They gave a hard time about fixing it and if they could not fix it, they would refund her. Okay once again got it "fixed". Then after getting her phone back, it started acting up AGAIN and this time the screen start forming a black bubble around the front camera. Took it back to them because they have just "fixed it". They replaced the screen again. Then the phone started acting up AGAIN. Her screen would not respond to touch and the screen would glitch. And now the screen just went blank. The phone worked just not screen. She had to leave work to go and bring it back to them. She was told that they can replace it but would have to wait because a new screen had to be ordered. So she would have to wait all weekend to get her phone back. Not acceptable. She was very upset and frustrated having to go back and forth to this place and deal with them. So now I went in to talk to them. When I got there, the employee was outside smoking and stopped me at the door. I told him I was here for her phone and I the multiple receipts in my hand. Right away started blaming her, that she probably dropped it or sat on it. I let him know that she had been there several times for the same issue of that the screen does not work right. I've broken my screen before and got it repair (at a different place) and have not had problems. Clearly this place orders cheap parts and cant install them correctly. At this point I got heated because he tried to blame my partner and pass the buck onto her. So I told him can w just get the phone back and I would deal with it. That's when he told me, she has to take down her yelp review of this place before he can give the phone back. My mind was officially blown. How are you going to refuse to give someone their property because of a yelp review. Especially after having to constantly keep coming back to "fix" the mistakes that were made by poor installation and cheap parts. Still refusing to give her back her phone. We called the police for assistance. While waiting for the police, he began to tell us that she didn't have warranty and that we had to pay to fix the phone. He said that a solder came loose and again blaming her. He never told us the phone was fixed and had to pay. How are you going to fix something and charge someone without consulting with the customer with the price first. It's like taking your car to a mechanic because after they did work on your car and now it's not running, and fixing it and then charging for the repair without notice. He then afford to un solder the connection and we take the phone back. So we agreed and he un solder the connection and half assed put it together. Leaving the place we went and had to buy a new phone. Avoid this place. I'm all for small businesses but this place is bad. read more
