Thought I found a top notch coffee spot in Justin until:…read more My wife and I always order our espresso beverages with half and half (breve), and are very accustomed to the flavor profile. We have had exceptional White Mochas, and Cappuccinos at Higher grounds, until recently. Something about the flavor of our drink was off, and reminded me of the flavor of (great value brand half and half), which is disgustingly gross, and cannot stand that stuff, as it makes me want to toss my cookies. The next time I ordered, I paid attention to the process, and sure enough, and to my unbelief, out came (great value brand half and half). I informed the barista, that I am not able to drink that, and I had to switch to something else, because I can't stomach that nasty half an half. I hope they discontinue this practice or I'll have to find another coffee place. To continue producing a quality product, you must use quality ingredients. To cut corners and use substandard ingredients, may save the owner a few bucks, but will cost them more in the long run, by losing customers.

The staff is incredibly friendly - just genuinely kind, welcoming people who make your morning better. The coffee is amazing, and my son is obsessed with their breakfast burritos. They're technically like half a burrito, but somehow packed full. I don't know how they do it, but it's one of his favorite morning stops before school. The vibe is one of my favorite things about this place. It's quiet, quaint, and just feels good to be in. If you ever need a spot to get out of the house and work for a bit, this is a great option. I've also seen small groups and Bible studies meeting here, which just adds to that community feel. It's a local gem here in Justin, and I absolutely love supporting businesses like this. Highly recommend.

After one taste of their silky smooth coffee it becomes clear why. They simply have a better product. There isn't a hint of that burnt flavor that so many people associate with Starbucks. I'm sure their teas and other drinks are remarkable as well, although I haven't gotten around to trying anything besides coffee yet. Furthermore, their parking lot can be a little tricky to get in and out of, but again, that doesn't seem to keep the crowds away. Don't worry though, the long line moves quickly! Not surprisingly, I can't recall ever seeing as many people queued up at any of the nearby Starbucks locations.
