The barista was friendly and completed my order in a timely fashion. The pumpkin chai tea was watery and needed more flavor. The pumpkin streusel bread was delicious and paired well with the drink. We have had exceptional White Mochas, and Cappuccinos at Higher grounds, until recently. Something about the flavor of our drink was off, and reminded me of the flavor of (great value brand half and half), which is disgustingly gross, and cannot stand that stuff, as it makes me want to toss my cookies. The next time I ordered, I paid attention to the process, and sure enough, and to my unbelief, out came (great value brand half and half). I informed the barista, that I am not able to drink that, and I had to switch to something else, because I can't stomach that nasty half an half. I hope they discontinue this practice or I'll have to find another coffee place. To continue producing a quality product, you must use quality ingredients. To cut corners and use substandard ingredients, may save the owner a few bucks, but will cost them more in the long run, by losing customers.
