So I called and learned that they had turned off reservations but could take walk-ins during off hours. No problem for us, so we went at 1:45, it was not busy at all. Nice ambiance, very open and light. We had Oysters Rockefeller and Coconut Shrimp to start, both great. For mains, I had Shrimp and Grits and my husband had Blackened Salmon, both excellent. The butternut squash mash with the salmon stood out as amazing! Generous portions, took half my shrimp and grits home. Dessert was Key Lime Pie and Red Velvet Cake. The Key Lime Pie unexpectedly came out with a berry sauce and the server took my concern about my strawberry allergy very seriously and doubled-checked with the kitchen that it was raspberry. It was a little better the next day warmed up. Hubby tried the fried chicken sandwich but liked the fries more than the sandwich. Tuesday/Thursday during happy hour are the best days to go if you like raw oysters. Only $1 each between 4-7pm! Perfect paired with a $5 frozen drink or glass of wine. They told us there was an hour and a half wait for inside tables, even though there were open tables the entire time we were there. It was a Tuesday and appeared to be a slow night. Not sure what that was about. The menu had lots of fun options. The food was mostly great. Had the deviled eggs and bang bang grouper bites as an appetizer and liked both. Everyone enjoyed their entrées. The chicken on my cajun pasta dish was wayyy overcooked and an incredibly small portion for a $7 add on. But the delicious spicy alfredo sauce made up for it. My wife liked her burger and my brother and his wife liked their dishes. The cocktails were OK. I ordered the blackberry gin fizz, but I'm not sure they know what a fizz is. Just tasted like gin with soda water and crushed blackberries in it. My sister-in-law loved her margarita, though. Would have ordered more cocktails if the server came around. The service was awful. The server disappeared for 20-30 minutes at a time. We assumed she was busy with tables inside, but we could see in the window and never saw her walking around or waiting on other tables. Plus there are only a few tables and there were like 6 servers working. It was one hour between the time she poured my first water and when I got my only refill. We were all thirsty the whole dinner. The manager stopped by to check on us more than our server. He was very nice, but he didn't seem interested in actually helping us. He just said he'd get our server when we asked for water. So good! The server Malachi, was personable and we were pleased with the service. My friend said both the oysters Rockefeller and the raw oysters were both delicious! Her one criticism was that they should've loosened the oyster from the shell more (we are from Maryland). The hush puppies were delicious with the addition of green onion and the honey butter set them over the top! The lobster deviled eggs with bacon were perfection (this from a person who doesn't like the white part of deviled eggs). The mozzarella spinach spring rolls were hot and crispy and came with a delicious sundried tomato dipping sauce. We enjoyed happy hour and watched many many $1 oysters (Monday through Thursday for happy hour 4:00 to 7:00). I love love loved the blackberry mule with vodka vodka vodka, strong, frozen, sweet.. Husband had a very well priced Stella draft. Started with the oysters grilled with garlic and the oysters Rockefeller on Happy Hour. Great value, very small meats but well prepared. My personal preference was the edamame slider and the salmon cake slider. Both a great value, and if you are gluten-free they will happily put it on cucumber and arugula for you. I had so many safe choices here as I am only a gluten sensitive person looking to just avoid bread crackers etc. Service at the bar was excellent, she was working way harder than any of the other servers standing around looking at their phones because there was nobody else in the place. Spouse had barbecue from Smoked, they seem to be a separate menu because they will in the future be a food truck out in the patio. I absolutely love this place! In 5 days we were in Myrtle Beach, we came here twice during happy hour (Monday through Friday 4-7pm?) Really enjoyed all the food we got from here. They also had the best oyster shooters I've ever had. Loved the chargrilled garlic butter oysters, house oysters with malt vinegar, lemon, and hot sauce, tuna carpaccio, shine burger, spinach and mozzarella spring rolls, bang bang grouper (sauce is bomb), tuna wonton tacos. Also had spicy Margaritas from here which was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and nice and decorated nicely inside. The inside is smaller for tables but has a big bar to sit at which is where we sat both times. This is a must go to spot for us every time we come to Myrtle Beach now. read more

Walked in on a Thursday at 4:30 for the HH specials and was immediately seated and waited on by an interesting fellow who also sat down on the bench beside me and we started talking about oysters. I had an oyster shooter cocktail on my first visit and was about to order another. As our conversation continued (did this guy have other work?) he convinced me to try more of the oysters on the menu. I ordered the garlic grilled oysters from the appetizer menu and the Cajun crab dip. The dip came with toasted bread and was delicious. I had the fried oyster for dinner. It came with fries, Cole slaw and hush puppies. My waiter came back to bring cocktails sauce as an additional condiment. Very nice. After two rounds of frozen blackberry mules we were done. By then the restaurant was filling up diners and getting loud. The bar seats about 30 and there are another dozen tables and they have outside seating. The interior is minimalist.
