He reprimands the servers in front of patrons and has no recourse about it. I started that it made us uncomfortable and is extremely unprofessional. His response was flooring! It's his restaurant and he will do as he pleases, if we don't like it we can leave! We did, but not until i told him what for... Very self absorbed and self righteous. My only complaint was the kids chocolate milk was too big and after drinking it, my grandson wasn't hungry for his food... My fault, I should have asked for it to come with the food not before.... Got lucky and spotted 105 Cafe - walked in and was greeted very warmly by the waitresses. Ordered eggs benedict, coffee and juice - outstanding including the appearance of the food when served! Unassuming spot with large portions of good quality breakfast food. I wouldn't have expected to find a loco moco and a smoked chicken omelette on the same menu in the middle of Texas, but it was a pleasant surprise. Really tasty salsa. Yet another spot putting Houston breakfasts to shame! I came here to grab some breakfast and read a bit while my husband was doing a 50 mile bike ride (The Heroes Ride). The spinach and feta omelet was overloaded with mushrooms and spinach pouring out of it! The breakfast potatoes come with onions, but since they make them fresh I just asked for them sans onions and it was no problem! I got a biscuit as a side and was pleased. They weren't the best biscuits I've had, but they definitely were not the worst either! This is definitely a spot I'd come back to if I were in the area! The reason for the 2 stars is because I had the country fried steak and it was not great. The batter was sweet and it tasted as if no salt was added at all...which is fine, but even after I added the salt, it was still nasty. 1st time. Arrived around 8:40 am. Was told by the hostess it would be 30 minutes. We moved away from the hostess and stood near the bench inside, a man who appeared to be either the manager or the owner addressed us and we told him to seat the gentlemen sitting on the bench as they were 1st. He addressed the gentlemen by name and told us the booth nearby would be ready in about 60 seconds. Watched an employee wipe down the table and then we sat down. So we waited longer for the hostess than actually sitting down. Food was good. Loved the rosemary breakfast potatoes. The prices are spot on, if not a bit on the under priced side considering how good the food is. The staff is friendly and eager to please. We just finished a fabulous brunch at this cafe. The waitress was very accommodating for our special diet requirements (keto) and was able to have our selections adapted perfectly. May I reccomend the smoked salmon Benedict on a bed of sauteed spinach instead of English muffins, and a side of seared broccoli in place of the usual starch or fruit?! It was delightful, filling and a very generous portion. The manager stopped by twice , first to make sure our orders were prepared to our liking, and again to make sure we were enjoying the food.
