My husband and I drive the three hours to 1000 Springs to launch and kayak out of the property. For $5 it's perfect. We always have a blast finding new little nooks. We experienced Hawks and their eyas and some new waterfalls this go. My only concern are the boats and jet skis hauling full boar down the river so you really need to be cautious when crossing however not something that keeps us from returning. We have not experienced camping however it looks pretty packed each time we float by. read more

Location is 5 star, especially if you have a tent site with a dock. Bathrooms 1 star. Filthy. You know it's bad when the portable toilets near the tents are in better shape than the flushing toilets in the shower area. So muddy in there. Trash overflowing at times. Awkward that the toilets in there are behind shower curtains. Be prepared for lots of bugs since it is right on the water. They didn't seem to bite, though. Office hours are short. The property has so much potential. Hopefully they can fix it up. read more

First, I would like to say the staff that was there were nice. I would not go back though. They do not tell you any services are locked up on Monday - even if you arrive that day. The RV spots have NO shade, WIFI, or cellular service. You are also parked on dirt. The view to the river is magnificent. The spots are also about 25 yards from the highway - lots of noise, even at night. The camp showers had no hot water (I did not look at them). The pool is indoors, and the space is very humid, and you can smell chlorine. We passed and found a different place. The place is struggling and for sale. You can tell it used to be very beautiful. Great trip until we were woken up by the camp post woman screaming at a campsite at barley 7am who had just woken up so hadn't had a chance to get there dog leased as they had just gotten out of their tent. She was upset because her personal dog had gotten surgery. Very odd. Felt bad for them. They handled it super well. I couldn't imagine being screamed at like that first thing in the morning after paying for a reservation all weekend. Outside of being grateful we didn't have to deal with being talked to like that and shocked watching someone else be treated that way- trip was nice. Great place! Very family-friendly and they even have a lifeguard on duty. The prices are good and the place is kept clean. They have private Jacuzzi rooms available. Staff is very friendly. Bathrooms are clean. They have snacks! The only thing that could be better is the water temperature. I prefer water that is hotter. This water is warm but not hot like I normal Hot Spring. I also understand that they put chlorine in the water so there's no real sulfur smell there. They have a couple of diving boards 1 high, 1 low and a water slide. There are balls in the water to play with and a floating log at one end. There's a sectioned off area that's real shallow for little ones also. ! Oh and did I mention that they have camping!? They give discounts for the hot pool if you camp or rent a cabin too. Definitely worth a trip out there read more

Stayed here for 3 days. Showers were included except the fact the first night they didn't work up till the second night and it was freezing cold water so didn't shower at all, I was given a total attitude by one of the employees who snapped at me when I asked and then the last day and night the toilets didn't work, we also wanted a spot by the water and were told they were reserved but yet the whole 3 days we were there no one rented them and we were told we couldn't even go down to the water or on the dock. Had to pay to swim and when we would walk into the pool area the same employee would yell to see our hand if they were marked and would claim they were a different color... I don't leave bad reviews, but am making an exception. We wanted a RV site on the river and I chanced this even though the reviews were marginal. The site is beautiful, but run down and not maintained. Not the cleanest and we were warned the outside shower was cold as the heater was broken, this was noted in an earlier review. Wish I could leave zero stars for how disrespectful and rude the Karen manager was. My family came from California and wanted to go to this resort to swim and cool off and we had a service dog. There were no signs indicating that we couldn't bring her in as an ESA animal (service dog) and we asked an employee who gave us a confusing answer so we asked the manager. This lady had a massive attitude and before we even went up to talk to her she said over the lady she was helping that she can't be in here. We asked her if being a service animal changed anything and she said no it has to be outside. Okay fine though I didn't know a service animal could be denied access to a public area without specification or reasoning. When it was our turn I was paying for our tickets and I asked to pay for a picnic spot so our dog can be outside since it's too hot to be in the car (91). She told us that no one can be out there right now because they just watered it. I asked her okay so what about the people out there right now who are camped and the others with a net set up. She said no one should be out there and I asked if someone is gonna tell them then out of fairness. She said she would later because "clearly I'm too busy helping people to do so." My brain was going okay? So what about the other employees standing around doing nothing. So now I'm irritated but trying to be understanding she's busy so she'll probably tell them when the line is done. I get out of line to double check who wants to swim since now we have to figure out how to take turn caring for our service dog. I come back in line and pay for 4 people and ask the lady if anyone was going to talk to the people outside, she said "there is already somebody outside taking care of it" okay cool. I walk outside and wait while I watch the dog so the others can get their stamp, still no one has gone to talk to these people and now I feel like we've been disrespected/ possibly discriminated. My girlfriend and little sister (the one who needs the service dog) decides to not swim because of what is continuing to happen to us. I go inside and ask for a refund for the two, the lady says she can't do that and can only give us passes for another day. I'm pissed now thinking how we will never be able to use them since we're from Cali. I take them and I am throwing back the attitude she's giving me. As I was about to walk out she decides to say "you know sir I don't need this attitude from you" I said "you gave me the attitude first so don't try it with that bull" I walk outside and my godmother comes outside to see what's going on. She had just been given attitude by the same manager about having her watermelon inside. There is no sign about outside food not being allowed and it wasn't even in a kindly manner, the same as us. I told her I can't get a refund and that I got these passes. So she tells me to follow her so we can't talk to them again. Before we could do that the manager lady walks out and throws me money, which is the wrong amount, "here's your refund you 4 are no longer welcome here" my godmother goes off on her and I do too. Angry as all get out. Should rate a 0. 1-Made reservations at least 2 months in advance. Though I asked about shade trees , I was given a spot under a DEAD TREE. The other tree was chopped mostly down. Other spots had none or the same trees half chopped down. The only shade we got was at 5pm in front of our truck camper. It's not like we were a class A that would of given some additional shade. Absolutely no indication given when inquired. 2-Though there were huge beautiful trees along the river front. This was only available to tent campers. BUT only Tuesday-Saturday. And of coarse the only days we were there were Sunday and Monday. Everyone had to leave because those were their watering days for their grass. So though we could use those areas, you had to be wary of the lawn mowing and changing of the pipes to different area's. 3-Also no clarification was made about access to the river front. Like no swimming. Which meant there was no safe access at all. Unless you wanted to jump off a 2 foot pony wall, on to a 1 foot concrete rough edge that ended up being a steep drop off to the river. No keep in mind this place did have docks, but were poorly maintained. These we saw were being used by ski boats and jet skis. 4-We then realized there was something going on about the boat ramp when we heard banging and crashing sounds. There was no ramp! just chunks of concrete! Why in gods name people were using it was absolutely unbelievable. 5-Nothing was mentioned that you had no access to the spring fed pool or adult area on Mondays. Bad enough they closed early on Sundays, even to adults. Yep, the only to nights were we're there we had absolutely no access. The reason we thought we'd stay there. 6- And lastly, how about a nice warm shower, because remember we are in a truck camper. Nope not even that. Just a pipe without even a shower head. Campsites have a very awkward setup, the fire pits are very close to camper/ RV. The shop does not open until 11am so if you need anything you are out of luck and no one will answer the phone either. Supplies like ice and firewood are limited, they didn't have ice for 4 days. When we went to empty our tanks to leave, the sewer line completely backed up and when we asked what we should do, the camp helper told us to empty the waste on our site and they would clean it up later, gross! The showers are really decrepit and dirty, poo splatter all over side of toilets and cobwebs EVERYWHERE they obviously do not pay much attention to the bathrooms. Also, the shower water is only one temperature and it is HOT!! I had to bath my daughter in the sink water, the showers were just too hot. The playground is falling apart and probably not the safest for kiddos. All in all, not the best camping experience with this place. read more

Pool closed on Mondays (but they won't tell you that until you've booked your reservations on a Monday might I add) the WiFi is really really bad if you expected the WiFi to be able to send messages you were mistaken because I had to go to town to write this review Bathrooms were really gross and the curtains for the bathroom and shower were see through curtains (no doors?) No hot showers like they advertise they had a sign that said cold showers only sorry for the inconvenience. If you are looking for a TRUE Idaho "hot springs" water experience go to Miracle Hot Springs close by. 1000 Springs is more of a "swimming pool" which is fun for kids if you are looking for Indoor swim. I don't want to discount it for others I do want to informed. For me, the soothing nature of hot springs water is therapeutic for me and helps my skin. This water at 1000 Springs was heavily chlorinated and no "silky" feel of hot springs. In fact it dried up my skin so bad and caused great discomfort/itching badly. Miracle Hot Springs drains and re-fills their water daily! That facility is closed on Sundays, however.. so plan accordingly! read more

We have been coming here for over 12 years between family camping trips, boy scout camps, church camps, etc. and it has gone unbelievably downhill. We have reserved the exact same campsite every year right on January 1st for the summer coming up and this last weekend when we showed up (all 20 of us) our camp site was occupied and they told us they had booked it before us. Which was a bold face lie. They then charged us full pop to move to a different site. They have not done any renovations or updates in the 12 years we have been going here. The bathrooms are disgusting, they don't even have doors, just cheap dollar store shower curtains. There's bugs everywhere and standing water all over which is disgusting to walk through in a bathroom. Their sink barely works, cold is hot and hot is scalding. We will never be returning. This was the final straw of BS from this "resort". Don't waste your time or money. read more

This place ROCKS!!! I love to camp and I would say if you do too, you should bookmark this for a future trip! Better yet, don't so that there is a higher chance there will be a spot for me next time I want to go! A very easy 2 hour drive from Boise. Located right off the main road, so no long drives out into the middle of nowhere. Strangely, even though it is right near the main road I barely heard any traffic. It is a short drive from the town of Haggerman, so if you forgot something you don't have to travel far. They can accommodate any type of camper: tent, trailer, RV, cabin . . . they have it all! RV sites have full hook ups. The tent and trailer spaces are literally right along the Snake River. The view is breathtaking, with water falls all around and high rocky mountains with lush greenery. These spaces are completely grass, which is such a nice change from the usual dirt locations. You get a picnic table and a very nice fire pit. There are also boat docks lined up along the river. All kinds of water crafts are allowed, and the water is like glass so it is great for the water skier. The only two downfalls to this campsite are: 1) In the late summer/early fall they have a HORRIBLE fly problem. It is a type of fly that actually breeds in the grass. A netted tent to sit in while eating is very handy. 2) The campsites are very, very close to each other. So, make nice with your neighbors or consider renting more than one site so that you have extra room to spread out. There is plenty to do both in the area: fish hatcheries, fossil museums, wineries, etc. But also lots to keep you busy right at your campsite. Lots of great fishing, a swing set for the kids and a HUGE naturally heated mineral pool for the whole family to enjoy. There is a daily fee for the pool, but you can come and go as you please, and if you are camping here you get a discount. The pool has a kiddie section 2' deep, a water slide, a high and low dive, a log and a basketball net. The majority of the main pool is 3' deep. They also have (for a bit extra) private mineral spas. You rent them by the hour, and you control how hot you would like the water to be. So amazing that the earth creates water so hot all by itself! The pool also sells bags of ice and firewood if you run low on either item. read more

I haven't been camping in years and I wanted to take my son somewhere fun so that he could experience camping for the first time. I was VERY disappointed. This place left a LOT to be desired. It started from the minute I walked in. Though there were two teenage boys there, apparently only one person can actually check people in and the one person was "at a campsite." They took a few minutes to track her down and then I was told she was on her way and would be right there. It took 15 minutes for her to show up. The first thing I noticed is that it's not handicapped accessible, which was a problem since I brought my aging mother who uses a motorized wheelchair. There is a railing with just a tiny space to get through to the pool, making it very difficult to get her wheelchair in there. There are no, ZERO, handicapped accessible bathrooms. The pool was enjoyable, but the bathrooms in the pool building...GROSS! They were dingy and had hoses running across the floor, which isn't very safe. The stall doors didn't close completely and they didn't lock. There was poop on one of the toilets and it stayed there the entire time we were there. Though there are signs up everywhere that quiet time is at 10, that rule is not enforced and people were yelling and partying until well after 1am with no consequence. The flies were ridiculous! I get that it's the great outdoors, but I have NEVER stayed in a place so infested with flies in my entire life. They were horrible. You certainly couldn't sit outside and enjoy nature because the flies were so miserable. There were literally swarms of them. Forget trying to eat! And the wind was constantly blowing so we were unable to light a citronella candle to keep them away. Ultimately, though we were scheduled to stay two nights, we ended up leaving on Saturday because we were miserable with all the flies. I DO NOT recommend this campground! There were others there as well who told us it was the worst one they had been to! Don't waste your time or money! read more

First time here, booked an RV spot for ourselves and another for my mother Sept 26-29, Banbury and Miracle were both full and this was the only hot springs in Hagerman with openings.... now I know why. This resort is old and in bad condition. Resort and camp spots are literally 25 yards from the highway, noises cars and trucks racing along only feet from our RV. Had space 1&2, 1 is next to a noisy pump house that cycles on and off every 60sec and kept us up all night. Very windy here too, can't have a campfire or have your awning out due to the windy conditions. Also all RV spots w hookups are gravel only, no grass and dirty, many puncture vines everywhere that you track into your RV continually. To top it off, flys, oh my gosh we have never seen more flys than at this place. Literally spent 3 days here just killing flys in our RV, couldn't get in the door without dozens getting inside with us. Didn't use the pool as it's crowded with kids and is indoor, noisy, and not natural as it is chlorinated. Found out Banbury and Miracle were not so we went to Banbury Hot springs one evening and had a wonderful time in there clean outdoor pool in the stars. We will never go back to 1000 Springs and will be patient in getting a spot at Banbury next time, clean, grass, away from the Highway, less wind and not near the flys for some reason. We also heard they are building a new 50+ spot RV State campground in Hagerman to be completed in 2020 that we will be checking out too. read more

We put in our reservations in January, we went to the resort for our annual family vacation, we had reserved 2 camp sites and 2 cabins. They had a family already in one of our camp sites and said the other one had been reserved and paid in full by someone else the entire weekend. They then said all sites were reserved for the weekend at the rivers edge and we would have to take the upper level of camp sites. They were extremely rude. The remaining two days of the weekend, no other sites were filled/reserved and the management made no attempt to offer the original sites (that were empty) to us, nor did they attempt to make it up to us in any way. The facility is dirtier than it has been in the past. I would skip this destination completely and go to any of the other camp sites/venues along the river. read more

I can only speak to the RV park because when I got there the pool was closed for maintenance. I used to love the pool when I was a kid and I can only imagine it is the same great experience now. The RV park is okay but there isn't even phone service there so if that's important to you, you need to be someplace else. This is probably a good park in the Summer. I gladly paid for our stay, but not for the additional $75 they charged my credit card for a 'so called cleaning deposit'....which was never mentioned in my signed paperwork! On arrival the cabin floor was dirty and the coffee pot had old coffee left. The resort said they found black dog hair everywhere, which was not mine. Bathrooms were filthy and showers were cold. We drove two hours from Boise with some friends to see if we liked the pool and facilities at 1000 Springs Resort. We were absolutely disgusted. The rude teenage staff in the snack bar was enough to make us want to leave. The behavior from the snotty teenage staff was awful and rude, and every member of our group of ten experienced this HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR at some point or another during our trip. I understand that it is difficult to keep a large pool clean, but I found a used tampon floating in the water. The women's and men's dressing rooms were disgusting, filthy, and overcrowded. There was a pair of dirty panties on the floor in the women's room for over six hours. Since you are not allowed to have a drink by the pool, they send you to eat in a party room. The floor underneath the "party room" booths was so dirty that it squished under our bare toes. This place was filthy and the staff was rude at best. We're never going again, and I don't suggest you should, either. read more

I wouldn't recommend this unfortunately. Our family vacation started here and in the summer, this place is unbearably hot. The RV site we were placed in only had 20 amp service and our camper needs 30 amps or more to run the AC and other items in the camper. We asked about moving to another spot, which the spots were empty but weren't allowed to. We also wanted to rent a grassy/shady spot for our kids to put up a tent but couldn't because Mon/Tues were their watering days. The bathrooms were horrible. Very unclean, water was cold and controlled with a makeshift sprinkler turn on and was coming out as a trickle. We only ended up staying a day and ended up having to forfeit the rest of our money to move on to a more enjoyable place. The sites are next to the road and there are no frills to staying in this location. The manager was not accommodating when we tried to get a refund for at least a couple of days, though we were not told of their policies ahead of time or at check-in. We were told, it's on the check-in desk and our email. There was NOTHING in the email about their policies, it was just a receipt. I think this place is poorly run and thankfully we found a better place for the rest of our trip. read more

Unfortunately this was the worst service and place, would not give any stars if I could! We had to move campsites 3 times due to the fact that they had to water, we were double booked on a campsite for one night. We were charged 4 extra days, even though we changed our reservation way in advance. The showers were either scolding hot or ice cold. The pool is extra money, not included. The managers were rude. If you have a middle site of rv site your not allowed to go to the water it is like 21 dollars extra each day for day use. Extra fees for kayaks and boats to put into water. If you have a water spot but no boat dock you can't use any of the boat docks. We were charged same rate for middle site as we were for a water spot. Employees say that the managers do this on purpose because they figure once we are there we will have to pay the extra fees. We had booked several rv sites, camp sites and cabins. Cabin wasn't cleaned and no one was there to check in on mondays even though that is what we booked. It was a disaster. Porta potties were nasty and were not cleaned out until tuesday after the weekend. Definitely not as advertised. We do not recommend at all. read more

Never Again! Booked annual camping trip with cabins and river front camp sites in January. When we arrived there were campers on one of our sites. We were told we had booked different sites (up by the highway) and that our usual sites were already booked when we had called to reserve, despite the fact that we had moved dates to get availability of our usual accommodations. We were then outright lied to when we asked if there were other river front camp sites available to move onto, as there were no other campers on any of the river front sites after our first night and through the remainder of our stay. We understand mistakes happening, but the fact that they were nasty, indignant, lied and took no accountability in offering different accommodations or even a price break for their error left a bad taste in our mouth and we won't be back. Accommodations were noisy all night with highway noise and random campers meandering through our camp; cabins were dirty with cobwebs and bugs (dead and alive) bad plumbing and burned out lights. read more

This facility is NOT age restricted as some campers have reported. It is more geared to local day use and on the Saturday afternoon we were there, there were about 300 children under the age of 12 in the pool and around the grounds. The showers are for the pool facility and made of concrete with plastic curtains. A family of about 100 were using the pavilion for a reunion. Not really for RVs as the 18 designated sites are more like drive-in theater parking spots. There is no shade for RVs and you are about 5 ft. from your neighbor. The roads and parking spaces are gravel. The grassy shaded areas next to the river are reserved for tent camping and day use only. The park is bounded by a busy highway on one side and the river on the other, so there is no safe place to walk dogs. A resort this is not. We did not stay. We were given a refund and found a better camp with shade and quiet nearby. read more
