Our room was $84/night. This seemed very reasonable for the amenities and room quality. Our king bed room (#107) was on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. We requested that view during booking, since we were road tripping with my husband's classic car and wanted to keep an eye on it. Our room was very clean. We really liked the easy pull up and down blinds. There were two, one normal shade and one sun block shade. The bed was very comfortable. We both slept great! The A/C unit had an odd smell, so we shut it off and just opened the window for cool air. We appreciated the larger refrigerator with small freezer inside. The only thing we felt the room was missing was a luggage rack. I prefer to keep my suitcase off the floor, and we never stay longer than a night so unpacking is unnecessary. Our only gripe with this location is the timeliness or lack of communication. I texted the number they texted me for pre check-in and twice they replied with 'we're really busy, please call us if you need immediate assistance'. We'll it wasn't pressing, just general questions about pricing and check-out procedures. I never received a response text, so I called the next morning before check-out. Not the best communication. Overall, we were happy with our stay here. We would recommend, and would stay here again.

Then, my son's glasses broke and we ran into Steven, a maintenance employee, who cheerfully offered electrical tape and the use of his scissors for us to makeshift fix them. Suggestion: If you want a cart you provide a $50 deposit (charged to your room) and if the cart is not returned in 30 minutes you lose the deposit. I should not have to make 8 trips back and forth at check-in to shuttle my belongings from a full-size SUV packed for a 3 week roadtrip (everyone knows not to leave a single item in their vehicle overnight). When arriving and expressing our disbelief that there were no luggage carts available the young girl at the front desk laughed and told us we just needed to wait. Great example of 0/10 customer service. While we were unnecessarily making all of these trips from our vehicle to our room to get everything unloaded we were dodging people openly consuming alcohol from what looked like a bar right next to the front desk. Super enjoyable dealing with drunks in the lobby and elevators when you're just trying to call it a night after a long day. Our room was $225+ with fees/taxes which is too much for a simple Garden Inn, especially this one. Parking is shared with a diner and there is not enough of it. The room felt large due to high ceilings. Although the lighting in the bathroom was great, in the bedroom it was dim. Good location if you need shopping (Costco, Walmart, a mall) or dining (Denny's, Black Bear Diner, Culver's, Chick-fil-A). This property reminds me of why we try to only stay at Homewood Suites or Home2 Suites which is that you pay the same price for a Garden Inn and get so much less in return.
