I'd been here years ago for a work event, but this was my first time trying their happy hour. Since it happened to be Mother's Day, we made sure to arrive right at 4pm when happy hour starts. No one was at the front at 4, so we had to walk inside to ask if they were open -- understandable, since the staff seemed busy preparing for the Mother's Day rush. Happy hour is only available in the bar area near the entrance. At that time, it was just us and one other group, with two bartenders working. Service was attentive, fast, and pleasant. I ordered the Lychee & Peach Martini and the Mango Mint Martini. Both leaned sweet and light, but they were refreshing and enjoyable. For food, I had the Coffee Ribeye Steak. I requested medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well. Even so, the steak itself was good quality and flavorful. By the time we were leaving around 5, the Mother's Day crowd started pouring in and things looked a bit chaotic, so we were glad we came early and avoided the rush. I was really excited to try the buffet at 100 Sails, but ultimately, the experience left a little to be desired. The restaurant is located inside the Prince Waikiki hotel. We made a reservation on OpenTable. Vibe of the restaurant was nice and classy. The dinner buffet itself is $89 per adult, and, with tax and tip, comes out to over $100 per person. For that price, I feel like the variety and quality of the buffet was lacking. I was especially disappointed with the quality of the poke as it did not taste very fresh. I had better poke from much cheaper poke joints around Oahu. I did, however, really enjoy the clam chowder. I also liked my Ocean Mai Tai. Our Ohana made a reservation and came here for my husband's birthday. There was an excellent selection of food-my daughter was in heaven when she saw the snow crab! Their sushi's bar was delicious and fresh, and the pasta was amazing. The servers were excellent and very attentive, and the kitchen staff made sure the food was constantly replenished. It's always an enjoyable time coming here. First things first, I do recommend making reservations. They have valet parking and self parking with validation. FYI stalls are pretty small and tight. They sit you almost immediately and you can head to the buffet. From the times I've been there, the menu items are pretty much the same, with a few changes here and there. My fave is their pasta and sushi bar. The fish tastes so fresh and is melt-in-your-mouth. I'm not the biggest fan of prime rib, but it was good. For dessert, and always remember to leave room for dessert, I do recommend the bread pudding. Probably the best bread pudding I've tasted. Dined at 100 Sails located inside of the Prince Waikiki hotel for both breakfast and dinner buffets. Breakfast: There was an egg omelette station which you could let the cook know how you would like your eggs cooked and the different topping choices displayed. Many options of breakfast meats, oatmeal, cereals, Japanese items like miso soup, natto and more. It was included with our hotel stay but is $35 per person for breakfast. Dinner: Steamed crab legs!! Most buffets that offer crab legs are served cold but here at 100 sails it is steamed which is how I prefer. It was consistently being refilled. There is a hand roll station with four different options to choose from but you can also customize your own. The sashimi and poke was fresh! I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fish was for a buffet. Definitely took advantage of the seafood options for dinner! Carving station had prime rib and lamb chops. I believe the lamb chops are only during holidays, which was for Valentine's when I dined. Dinner is $89 per person but $109 for the holiday. Note: drinks are not apart of the buffet menu. So it is not refillable if you are getting sodas and such. If you have a sweet tooth, there are dessert options if you saved some space in your stomach. Delicious! Definitely will come back again. As a guest at the hotel I was skeptical but we decided to try it out. Delivered taste and perfection. James our waiter was friendly and attentive. The view was gorgeous and I can only imagine what the view is like at sunset. I ordered the Farmers market salad and it was delicious. The tarragon dressing was one of a kind. We ordered the lobster roll with a side of fries. Tasty and the fries were crispy. The lobster in the yazu mayo was great. The roll was toasted perfectly. We also ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly to a medium rear just the way we like it. The dish that stole the night with taste and presentation was the Kona Kanpachi! Taste was on key! The kanpachi skin was perfectly crisp. The rice was amazing and the ponzu sauce was the best I've had. We almost skipped dessert but I'm glad we didn't. I ordered my favorite, creme brûlée. It was heaven. Definitely a shareable dessert. We also, had yummy cocktails. We tried the Pineapple which was great and had a Smokey flavor of the mezcal. I really wanted to like 100 Sails, but unfortunately the food and service made that impossible. I'm including photos to show exactly what we experienced. Service: We were told our server's name was Grace, yet we never met anyone by that name--or anyone who introduced themselves as our server at all. The experience only got stranger from there. When we finished our dinner plates, no one cleared them before taking our after-dinner drink order. Our tea was brought out... and the plates were still sitting there. Then dessert arrived, and once again, no one removed the dirty dishes. I'm posting a photo of what our table looked like while we were trying to eat dessert--it was cluttered and honestly unacceptable. Food: The buffet stations were poorly maintained. The steak tray was completely empty. The braised beef had one lonely piece left, looking like the last kid picked for kickball. What little steak remained earlier was sitting in a bowl of grease--completely unappetizing. Poor rotation and lack of replenishment made it feel neglected and poorly managed. Between the inattentive service and the lack of available, properly presented food, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for a much better experience, I'd suggest heading over to Texas de Brazil across the bridge in Ala Moana instead. read more

We celebrated our anniversary at 100 Sails at The Prince in Waikiki, which was a bit since our last visit. The service was great. We never had to wait for a waiter to clear the table or refill our water glasses. We enjoyed the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs and prime rib, with the hand roll bar being our favorite. With ocean views, premium food, and a nice dining area, the 100 Sails buffet at the Prince Waikiki is one of the best and fanciest resort buffets on island. Recommend for Sunday brunch. Over the years, we have managed to stop in for the Sunday brunch and the evening dinner buffet. Both may have a wait as this is a popular buffet; reservations are possible and parking is available at the Prince although it can be very limited at times. Brunch and dinner offer many of the same items such as crab legs, prime rib, porchetta, salad, dessert, sashimi, soup, and fruit. Dinner offers some more items such as a handroll bar, fried oysters, chicken, mashed potatoes, etc but the brunch buffet is the way to go. Brunch offers a waffle bar, omelette station as well as the crab and prime rib that are also at dinner. Also, obviously, brunch has marina ocean views and dinner is just dark outside. A luxurious place for breakfast. Why? You can take the escalator or elevator up or even stairs. The name is befitting the gorgeous backdrop of boats and perfect blue skies. The receptionist is the happiest person to greet you in the morning with her cheery voice and smile. I even heard her said Aloha to a few guests who were tickled to hear that as they checked in. If available request a table by the window instead of by the buffet. What service, it is a buffet and there is a made to order omelet station. I ordered the works with half a ladle of egg for a smaller one with cheese at the last addition. A kind male employee even carried my plate to where I was sitting. Wow! I really enjoyed the curry/ I had to get a chawan(rice bowl) then spoon the curry over the rice. It was delicious. My favs braised beef, guava ribs, huli huli chicken. There's so much more I'm gonna say please go try it out yourself. There were no fresh oysters and the crab legs were changed from Dungeness to the Snow Crab variety. Although the crab was tasty, it was a disappointment. We don't have an AYCE in California where I live, so when visiting Hawaii, I anticipate my visit to 100 Sails.... way before I get here. With that said, my husband is a fan of the AYCE prime rib, that did not disappoint. .... I was able to eat 3 full plates, so nothing to really complain about and the things I enjoyed most this trip were: the FRESHEST ahi poke, the cocktail shrimp, the sashimi, the clam chowder was delicious, and the snow crab, of course, was cooked & salted perfectly (not overly salted) Noted that the alcoholic beverages were on point and so beautiful, so kudos to the current bartender (we were there on Thursday, 7/24/25 at 6:30 p.m.) Some things never change though and I'd like to shout out to our waitress, Grace, who we remember from the last time. Recently went here again for their dinner buffet right before the holidays for another anniversary dinner with my partner! I still believe this is hands down the best buffet on the island! Food, service, ambiance, and views are always top notch. Initially, there were no online reservations available for the night we wanted but I called and the host kindly put us on the list. Valet parking is reasonable, I believe $10-12 dollars plus tip, no stress. It's cool to make this a nice date, and walk around the hotel area, especially during the holiday season. My favorite dishes are the crab legs, sushi bar, and prime rib/pork station. Their dessert and drink selection is also really good. We had a sweet tooth that evening so we indulged in the chocolate macadamia nut pie and the lilikoi creme brûlée! During our stay-cation we came here for the breakfast buffet then the dinner buffet. Both are a must. Breakfast: Loved that there's a lot of options. Omelette station is the best I went back twice. They also have a lots of vegetable/salad options for breakfast which surprised me. Miso soup is offered for breakfast. We also told our server that we were celebrating our anniversary and she brought us a little matcha dessert. Calm atmosphere in the morning. Dinner: Again lots of options and variety. Prime rib and crab legs. Loved that their prime rib was not fatty. I ate my fill of sashimi, poke and hand rolls. Lots of salad options but it was difficult than the breakfast options. We come here for the holiday buffet they had lamb chops. I have to say that the buffet is yummy yum but I don't know if it is worth the 117.00 a person. I do need to say that the crab legs actually taste yummy yum yum but I spent a lot of time rolling the shells off. At first I thought two hours is a long time but I know now that was enough time for me to eat the crab legs and other things offered. So I can eat the moneys with just the prime rib like and crab legs. I think the buffet is 4 stars since it is on the higher end and nothing compares to the ninth island buffets which I am comparing it to. Good for Oahu and for special occasions. We were invited back to after our first underwhelming experience. This experience was night and day from the Christmas Eve Buffet. Our server Grace was awesome. The food was fantastic. The Prime Ribeyr was a perfect rare and the demiglaze sauce complimented it well. The Seared Ahí was done to perfection. We started with the Pork Belly which was tender with that much desired crunchy skin on a bed of two sauces. We finished off the me with the Mocka Coffee Parfite, which was rich and crram but not overly sweet. A wonderful end to a fine meal. Qe look forward to dinning here again and we found out the new chef is revamping the buffet with some delicious new offerings. My only downside was how cold it was sitting next to windows. To be honest, it was basic. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It was okay. To me, the best part was the omelette station! Who doesn't love a nice fresh omelette with a chef right in front of you literally making it to order. The rest of buffet consisted of some French toast, bacon, Portuguese sausage, vegetable curry, miso soup, salad, tater tots, fruits, yogurt and few other things that were breakfast related. It's a nice open dining area with a beautiful view of the harbor. It felt really peaceful and it's a great place to be able to have good conversation with whoever you're with. Service was good. The teishoku had butterfish that melted in your mouth and was super flavorful-it was my favorite lunch dish! The karaage was also perfectly crispy with moist meat. Apparently IG videos of 100 Sails's Christmas drinks and decorations left such strong impressions on me that I checked it out during the happy hour (4:30pm to 6pm). They decorated restaurant and hotel with beautiful silver, gold and white ornaments which are very well designed and thoughtfully arranged. It's classy and elegant. Our server Peter was very tentative, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed his service. We really like the Naughty or Nice whiskey mule and the Prickly pear Rita. Their bartenders did an awesome jobs in creating and mixing these drinks. Our favourite happy hour dish was the beef skewers so we added a second order. We like the flavour of the calamari but it's over cooked and had a bit of burn taste. Normally I would take a star off my review for that, but we like our server, and enjoyed the Christmas drinks, the beef skewers, and the Christmas decorations. He said the fish was fresh and moist. I had the Teishoku combo which included miso black cod and chicken karaage. I enjoyed it, except for the Kim chee potato salad. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet here on Saturday May 3rd. It was $34 per person and in my opinion, very worth it for all you can eat. The regular ala carte breakfast menu would cost you roughly $25 for a breakfast entrée, and if you eat anywhere else in the hotel or Waikiki, you're gonna be spending at least $20 at a coffee shop for a coffee plus a breakfast pastry. The buffet had a wide variety of breakfast items, including a dessert, pastry bar, juice options (guava and orange), omelette, station, toast, station, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, and a wide variety of other hot dishes, including curry and miso soup. The toast was super good with the laie vanilla fraiche and lilikoi jam spread. I also loved making myself a bowl of rice with curry and an osen egg on top. We left feeling stuffed and service was incredible! They were very welcoming and accommodating with our almost 2 year-old. The staff immediately brought over a nice highchair, and plastic utensils for her. My daughter even dropped a cup, and I tried to help them clean it up, but our server insisted that he do it and I sit down. I've been to 100 Sails restaurant and bar Waikīkī for a number of years. Mostly for important family functions and also was here for a work place holiday luncheon prior to 2020. The most recent experience happened on December 21, 2025, the Sunday before Christmas. We were there for brunch but ended up having reservations at 12:15pm. The place was definitely popular and quite crazy, but it was worth the wait, especially when I did not have breakfast to prepare for the calorie onslaught. My family arrived at the Prince hotel and opted for valet parking. We patiently waited for them to wave us in and we left the car with them. We proceeded upstairs to 100 Sails to check in and we waited a bit before they escorted us in. After that, it was just a culinary orgy of everything. The staff here was definitely friendly and fast. I ordered 3 rounds of Diet Coke, which was refillable and refreshing. I'm glad that I didn't eat breakfast that morning so I can really go to town here. I ended up having mostly seafood. Their sashimi was awesome and the prime rib carving station was great. I basically had 3 rounds of protein and very little carbohydrates. I enjoyed their clam chowder, which I don't have often. My family and I spent about 2 1/2 hours here from start to finish. It was delicious and definitely a treat for me and my tastebuds. The price for brunch can be very reasonable, if you go there to celebrate special occasions, but it's not a weekly or monthly thing, at least for me. The overall experience here at 100 Sails restaurant and bar, particularly for their Sunday brunch, was very good. They had a seafood centric menu and also includes a prime rib carving station and other local favorites in the entree section. They had an omelette bar as well as a salad bar too. This brunch has it all and is one of the more recognizable buffets on Oahu. The restaurant itself is very clean and can seat about 150 people at any given time. The only problem with this hotel restaurant was that we had to go up two floors to get to the restaurant. Other than that, it was good. There are restrooms here outside the restaurant entrance, so you can have that at your disposal when you arrive or whenever you need to. My favorite part of the buffet was the assortment of seafood, as fresh as humanly possible. I also enjoyed the prime rib carving station. So much delicious food and it was very very good. I don't eat like this all the time which is nice and to be able to enjoy with family is also nice as well. The ambience was not as quiet as I thought it would be, but it was good enough. And so if you like brunch and quality food at a buffet price, consider coming here to 100 Sails restaurant and bar at the edge of Waikiki. It's a good destination place to dine when you have special occasions. Definitely was a memorable experience each time I come here and hopefully you would too. They also have valet service provided by the hotel. For the most part though, it was an easy way to enjoy the experience of having fresh fish and steak for a Sunday brunch. After the meal, I walked to Ala Moana center to stay active. If you are like me, many bus routes come and go thru Waikīkī and a lot of them start and end at Ala Moana center. Choose the ones that are appropriate for your situation. Came for happy hour. It was very quiet when we got there, leading to a somewhat cold/uncomfortable ambiance, but as it began to fill up I could admire the style of the restaurant a bit more. Keanu, our server, was fantastic. He was helped out by the manager, who was also great. The special fancy ice cubes were a nice touch. We had a few appetizers and drinks. When searching for the best brunch in Waikiki everyone suggested 100 Sails, and they were right! Make sure to make reservations for your Sunday brunch and come with an empty stomach! There were many options on the Buffett and everything I tired was delicious! My favorite bites were the snow crabs, prime rib, and hand rolls. There is an omelette station and waffle station! If you're a sweet fan there are tons of breakfast pastries and dessert options. We had the most attentive and helpful waitress named Erin!! With a beautiful view and delicious food I can see why this is a popular brunch in Waikiki! 10/10 would recommend! read more

First time here with hubby and a wonderful friend for lunch. We got the hurricane tots for our starters prince clam chowder. My friend and I had the teishoku. It comes with soup, salad, potatoes salad, pickled vegetables, rice, butterfish. Hubby had the everything focaccia. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, kamuela tomatoes, olives, peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and basil with a side of fries. Service was excellent. These Restaurant was Amazing I went for Valentine's Day the food looked good the you have to try there Chicken Alfredo Pizza and there Papardelle Pasta service was really good they were always checking on us refilling are waters I really felt I was taken care of and the front desk was nice and inviting.
