    100 Sails

I was really excited to try the buffet at 100 Sails, but ultimately, the experience left a little to be desired. The restaurant is located inside the Prince Waikiki hotel. We made a reservation on OpenTable. Vibe of the restaurant was nice and classy. The dinner buffet itself is $89 per adult, and, with tax and tip, comes out to over $100 per person. For that price, I feel like the variety and quality of the buffet was lacking. I was especially disappointed with the quality of the poke as it did not taste very fresh. I had better poke from much cheaper poke joints around Oahu. I did, however, really enjoy the clam chowder. I also liked my Ocean Mai Tai. That being said, I don't think I would return as I believe that there are buffets that offer better quality and variety for around the same price point or less.

Our Ohana made a reservation and came here for my husband's birthday. There was an excellent selection of food-my daughter was in heaven when she saw the snow crab! Their sushi's bar was delicious and fresh, and the pasta was amazing. The servers were excellent and very attentive, and the kitchen staff made sure the food was constantly replenished. It was a nice interior and the hotel was beautiful.

It's always an enjoyable time coming here. First things first, I do recommend making reservations. They have valet parking and self parking with validation. FYI stalls are pretty small and tight. They sit you almost immediately and you can head to the buffet. From the times I've been there, the menu items are pretty much the same, with a few changes here and there. My fave is their pasta and sushi bar. The fish tastes so fresh and is melt-in-your-mouth. I'm not the biggest fan of prime rib, but it was good. For dessert, and always remember to leave room for dessert, I do recommend the bread pudding. Probably the best bread pudding I've tasted. All in all, 100 sails is a perfect buffet for a special celebration. They offer complimentary dessert for celebrations. And it's all $89 per person.

Dined at 100 Sails located inside of the Prince Waikiki hotel for both breakfast and dinner buffets. Breakfast: There was an egg omelette station which you could let the cook know how you would like your eggs cooked and the different topping choices displayed. Many options of breakfast meats, oatmeal, cereals, Japanese items like miso soup, natto and more. It was included with our hotel stay but is $35 per person for breakfast. Dinner: Steamed crab legs!! Most buffets that offer crab legs are served cold but here at 100 sails it is steamed which is how I prefer. It was consistently being refilled. There is a hand roll station with four different options to choose from but you can also customize your own. The sashimi and poke was fresh! I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fish was for a buffet. Definitely took advantage of the seafood options for dinner! Carving station had prime rib and lamb chops. I believe the lamb chops are only during holidays, which was for Valentine's when I dined. Dinner is $89 per person but $109 for the holiday. Note: drinks are not apart of the buffet menu. So it is not refillable if you are getting sodas and such. If you have a sweet tooth, there are dessert options if you saved some space in your stomach. If you're not feeling the all you can eat, they do have an ala cart menu as well. Website has updated menu for the month. There is also a bar if you choose to drink there. All the workers were very welcoming and were very attentive clearing out our table. We never had to wait for our table to be cleared or for any water refills. Validated parking - self park or valet. Reservations made through OpenTable.

The selection is good enough. Very eye appealing. The gochujang glazed chicken thigh looked great however extremely dry, same with salmon. Breaded fried oysters were my favorite. Yukon Gold Mash as well. The carvery of rack of lamb and prime rib of beef. Hand Roll to order nice. Cold selection of poke, shrimp and salad nicely presented. Clam Chowder creamy and rich. The snow crab was just OK in my opinion. Dessert choices were good, Bread pudding was lacking something. Nice views the sails hence 100 sails. With the sun setting in distance. Service was average as my server forgot of my coffee as I had too remind her. Non alcoholic such as soda and coffee is an extra charge. You would think this would included. 4 hour $10 valet parking with validation. 2.5 hrs free self park with validation.

Delicious! Definitely will come back again. As a guest at the hotel I was skeptical but we decided to try it out. Delivered taste and perfection. James our waiter was friendly and attentive. The view was gorgeous and I can only imagine what the view is like at sunset. I ordered the Farmers market salad and it was delicious. The tarragon dressing was one of a kind. We ordered the lobster roll with a side of fries. Tasty and the fries were crispy. The lobster in the yazu mayo was great. The roll was toasted perfectly. We also ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly to a medium rear just the way we like it. The dish that stole the night with taste and presentation was the Kona Kanpachi! Taste was on key! The kanpachi skin was perfectly crisp. The rice was amazing and the ponzu sauce was the best I've had. We almost skipped dessert but I'm glad we didn't. I ordered my favorite, creme brûlée. It was heaven. Definitely a shareable dessert. We also, had yummy cocktails. We tried the Pineapple which was great and had a Smokey flavor of the mezcal. We also tried Ginger's tropical itch, it was great! Hats off to the chefs in the kitchen. There was also a seafood buffet which seemed to be very popular. Definitely coming back!

    Lack of food...where's the beef?

I really wanted to like 100 Sails, but unfortunately the food and service made that impossible. I'm including photos to show exactly what we experienced. Service: We were told our server's name was Grace, yet we never met anyone by that name--or anyone who introduced themselves as our server at all. The experience only got stranger from there. When we finished our dinner plates, no one cleared them before taking our after-dinner drink order. Our tea was brought out... and the plates were still sitting there. Then dessert arrived, and once again, no one removed the dirty dishes. I'm posting a photo of what our table looked like while we were trying to eat dessert--it was cluttered and honestly unacceptable. Food: The buffet stations were poorly maintained. The steak tray was completely empty. The braised beef had one lonely piece left, looking like the last kid picked for kickball. What little steak remained earlier was sitting in a bowl of grease--completely unappetizing. Poor rotation and lack of replenishment made it feel neglected and poorly managed. Between the inattentive service and the lack of available, properly presented food, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for a much better experience, I'd suggest heading over to Texas de Brazil across the bridge in Ala Moana instead.

This review is for the buffet only at 100 Sails. With ocean views, premium food, and a nice dining area, the 100 Sails buffet at the Prince Waikiki is one of the best and fanciest resort buffets on island. Recommend for Sunday brunch. Over the years, we have managed to stop in for the Sunday brunch and the evening dinner buffet. Both may have a wait as this is a popular buffet; reservations are possible and parking is available at the Prince although it can be very limited at times. Brunch and dinner offer many of the same items such as crab legs, prime rib, porchetta, salad, dessert, sashimi, soup, and fruit. Dinner offers some more items such as a handroll bar, fried oysters, chicken, mashed potatoes, etc but the brunch buffet is the way to go. Brunch offers a waffle bar, omelette station as well as the crab and prime rib that are also at dinner. Also, obviously, brunch has marina ocean views and dinner is just dark outside. Drinks are not included in the price except for the free coffee, iced tea, or hot tea.

A luxurious place for breakfast. Why? You can take the escalator or elevator up or even stairs. The name is befitting the gorgeous backdrop of boats and perfect blue skies. The receptionist is the happiest person to greet you in the morning with her cheery voice and smile. I even heard her said Aloha to a few guests who were tickled to hear that as they checked in. If available request a table by the window instead of by the buffet. What service, it is a buffet and there is a made to order omelet station. I ordered the works with half a ladle of egg for a smaller one with cheese at the last addition. A kind male employee even carried my plate to where I was sitting. Wow! I really enjoyed the curry/ I had to get a chawan(rice bowl) then spoon the curry over the rice. It was delicious. I added the red tsukemono ( picked vegetable) on the side and it made it doubly delicious. Even the orange juice tasted extra good. I made an iced coffee. Thanks Jackie for the stevia. I added lots of cream. Their decorations are extremely pretty- the tree, the decorations above the bar. You are not rushed so you can leisurely enjoy each others company, talk story and enjoy the beauty of it all. Thankyou Donna(for treating us) and Jackie for the pretty yellow and pink lei. Thanks both for the omiyage (gifts)too.

100 sails new Monday-Wednesday BBQ buffet!!! Completely different then the Thursday-Sunday buffet and my family and I enjoyed it. Cost is $62.00 per person well worth it. My favs braised beef, guava ribs, huli huli chicken. There's so much more I'm gonna say please go try it out yourself. Service is amazing, on point, and the ambiance at the prince is always whatever you need it to be. Beautiful scenery and vibrant feel. We keep coming back every year. Thank you to all the staff that make 100 sails the best buffet. Thank you Aaron, Billy, Terrance. All the servers and host and to the chef great job. Much love and aloha Mr. Koa!!!

    Really fresh seafood!! Delicious EVERYTHING!!

....Back AGAIN, as promised. Unfortunately, however, after looking forward to the AYCE crab legs and fresh oysters... I was a bit disappointed this time. There were no fresh oysters and the crab legs were changed from Dungeness to the Snow Crab variety. Although the crab was tasty, it was a disappointment. We don't have an AYCE in California where I live, so when visiting Hawaii, I anticipate my visit to 100 Sails.... way before I get here. With that said, my husband is a fan of the AYCE prime rib, that did not disappoint. .... I was able to eat 3 full plates, so nothing to really complain about and the things I enjoyed most this trip were: the FRESHEST ahi poke, the cocktail shrimp, the sashimi, the clam chowder was delicious, and the snow crab, of course, was cooked & salted perfectly (not overly salted) Noted that the alcoholic beverages were on point and so beautiful, so kudos to the current bartender (we were there on Thursday, 7/24/25 at 6:30 p.m.) Some things never change though and I'd like to shout out to our waitress, Grace, who we remember from the last time. Since this is a buffet and she's not required to actually serve us, she is very attentive and pleasant each time we visit. Happy to see her smiley face again this trip!

During our stay-cation we came here for the breakfast buffet then the dinner buffet. Both are a must. Breakfast: Loved that there's a lot of options. Omelette station is the best I went back twice. They also have a lots of vegetable/salad options for breakfast which surprised me. Miso soup is offered for breakfast. We also told our server that we were celebrating our anniversary and she brought us a little matcha dessert. Calm atmosphere in the morning. Dinner: Again lots of options and variety. Prime rib and crab legs. Loved that their prime rib was not fatty. I ate my fill of sashimi, poke and hand rolls. Lots of salad options but it was difficult than the breakfast options. Clam chowder is the dinner soup option. Not much variety for desserts but what they had was yummy. A bit louder in the evening but that's expected since there's more people.

We had dinner here more than once during our stay at Prince Waikiki. The poke bowl is very good and reasonably priced for the quality. My husband also really liked the beef fat rice. We tried the Ahi dip as well, and it was good but salty. We also tried the maitake mushroom and miso eggplant appetizers, and they were absolutely delicious!

The moody speakeasy vibe was cool and our server was friendly, but the problem is nothing on the menu is very appealing or affordable. I decided to gamble on the 3 taco flight. Mexican food in Hawaii is always a gamble, but these were the worst tacos I've ever had in my life. They were comically small and, unfortunately, quite disgusting. Especially the tortilla, which was made from ulu and tasted like oily construction paper. The presentation was pretty underwhelming as well and did not include any salsa or hot sauce. When asked, the server offered Tabasco. Really?! But the real crime was the $27 price tag. We're all used to Hawaii prices, but come on. How can you charge NINE DOLLARS per tiny taco with a straight face? The drinks I had were ok, but nothing super memorable. Loved the vibe and I could see this place really popping off if they overhauled the menu. Until then, it's a pass for me.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

Tucked on the second floor of a Piikoi Parkway building, it feels like stepping back in time, a true bespoke bar with vintage art, moody lighting, and comfy couches that make it perfect for couples or a night out with friends. We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it. Parking is tight, but you can park at Ala Moana and walk over, and it's worth it. Next time we're coming back for Grandma's Old Fashioned and the pork belly bao buns. This isn't a bar you stumble into, it's one you come back to.

Dim lighting, great music, strong drinks, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay way longer than you planned. Definitely make a reservation because this place fills up fast, especially later into the night when everyone suddenly decides they need a speakeasy cocktail moment. What surprised me most was how good the food was for the price. Usually spots with this kind of atmosphere rely on the drinks to carry everything, but every dish actually delivered. The chicken karaage was crispy and packed with flavor, the beef takoyaki disappeared embarrassingly fast, and the taro chips with mascarpone somehow felt both chaotic and genius at the same time. Weirdly addictive and perfect with the drinks. Between the cocktails, food, service, and atmosphere, everything just worked.

The owner is Steve Aoki, of Aoki Group, and son of daredevil and entrepreneur, Rocky Aoki. The staff were super nice. The brunette (Ellie?) working Sat, 4/25 was super friendly, and worked her ass off. The Azn fellow who also took care of us let us look at the bottles of special bourbon we drank: Four Roses & Blantons both tr the Aoki Collection. Regarding the ambiance its whimsical inside. I didn't look on the lanai, but I understand you can smoke cigars out there. The background music was jazz and the occasional Motown hit (Stylistics). My cuz who lives in Kaimukī has neva been to RM 38. I promised to add him to the res next time. Its a lot easier to get in vs another speakeasy in Chinatown, and its walking distance from where I always stay at the Moana.
