I've never bought a new battery that wasn't charged up. I jumped the battery Drove about 20 miles came home and the next morning I went to start bike and there was no charge in the battery. I thought I must've done something wrong on the install? Then then I checked the voltage comming out of the battery and it was 12.5 V I turn the key the voltage went down to 4 1/2 V (the battery was dead!). They sold me a used battery that was some ones core exchange for a new one. I went to BP+ and they said that they couldn't warrant me a new one until they try to charge this old one for 1 hour. I first worked with Sergio and Big Star Movers last year, when I admittedly had a large and…read moresemi-complicated job, moving the contents of one house to two separate properties (but within 2 miles of each other). It was a barely lived/not much stuff rental property, 2 bedroom condo, and after nearly 4 hours, they still hadn't finished loading the truck. The only person that spoke English was the driver, and he wasn't helping much. Apparently, the couldn't figure out how to disassemble a very standard bed (I have photos). Sergio sent another crew member at his cost, which was greatly appreciated because we still had to move from Jupiter to Wellington. The men were polite, but I noticed after the furniture was scuffed, the walls were scuffed... they were beyond slow. The price was affordable and reasonable considering the service with three men and the travel, etc. Then, a few months ago, I needed a mattress moved. I called them again and we had a pleasant experience, literally moving one mattress 2 miles down road. While I hadn't loved the initial service I received, I found myself in a time crunch so, against my better judgment, I called Sergio again. There isn't much to move and the "difficult" bed was not one of the items. I called on a Sunday and explained I needed to coordinate the move with a friend coming in from out of town to take some of the furniture. The 3 of us agreed to the next Sunday, and Sergio instructed me to text him photos of the items, which I did on Monday. Having not heard back, I called him again. As we went to confirm, we realized Sunday was Easter and it couldn't be done. He had a slot for Friday, so we asked him to hold it until my friend got clearance to take off work. Later that night, at 8:23, I texted Sergio the confirmation as it was my understanding it was a business phone; each text has a signature line that says "Big Star Moving". I also called and left a voicemail. He replied back that he was in a family meeting and to call back tomorrow. I said thank you, I was just confirming. I have the screenshots. The next morning, Sergio texted me about his "special rates" and that after the base, it would be $20 for each 15 min increment. I expressed my surprise at the cost and told him honestly, his movers are VERY slow. At this point, Sergio became enraged and offended. He accused me of being upset because he didn't answer at night (screenshots will he provided if possible). I told him the cost was fine, I just needed to get it done, and he refused unless I brought a quote to him from another moving company. At this point, I called him. He'd initially told me he could schedule me for Sunday and it's not really my fault he didn't properly look at his calendar. His lack of diligence caused a huge upset in our plans, but we adjusted. I told him that my friend and I are of different beliefs and didn't know it was Easter; but he should have. I told him I'd pay up front but he refused and gave me a lecture on how you can't buy respect. That's fine Sergio, you also can't buy away a negative review. By the way, in less than 45 min, I found a company that beat his price. Spare yourself the headache and avoid this rinky dink sh*t show. You can do better. *please note that on Sunday, April 5th, Sergio booked us, not realizing HIMSELF it was Easter. The only reason I was insistent on getting it done with them was because my friend had already made arrangements and I was afraid another company wouldn't have the new time available. I offered $500 because his base price plus the $20/15 min would've come out to about $500 with as slow as they are. Happy to provide more documentation and texts on this from Sergio if necessary :)*

I have limited time on the weekends to get down and help her pack and before the actual move. I called College Hunks on Saturday once I realized we needed help. Jaslyn booked an appointment for the next day, Sunday, for Brandin and Cole to come out and give us a quote to remove items we no longer need. They were prompt, early even, so kind and helpful. They gave us the quote and were able to move the items out before they left. It was a no pressure quote and they offered to come back after I got other quotes but we needed the items moved that day and they were fair. Scam - your property will be damaged by movers, and you may be too…read more We hired College Hunks for a local move which started with a site walk-through ahead of time. Considering that, I'm unsure how we wound up stuck for multiple days, culminating in a 19-plus hour day and a 1 a.m. move to the new location just 30 minutes away. But the largest issue is how highly unprofessional and shockingly aggressive the movers were. Our belongings were bafflingly thrown from a third floor balcony within a shared community complex, endangering others and ruining property. When we expressed dismay, one employee, Derrick, became violent and had to be physically restrained by another, who actually quit shortly after, citing Derrick's disrespect. Upon arrival, all of our belongings were stacked and left at the entryway; hundreds of pounds of furniture blocking the only door to the home of an elderly couple. College Hunks also left all trash and company packing materials, including dozens of heavy blankets. A staggering amount of our property was damaged too; gauges to a 150-year-old family heirloom, ripped artwork, scuffed tables and floors, multiple shattered glass tables. Not what you'd expect from a multi-thousand dollar move. College Hunks has not offered any compensation, refund, or explanation, despite our repeated attempts to speak with local and corporate leads to discuss further. I genuinely would not recommend them under any circumstance if you value your belongings and personal safety.
