Efficient, prices well and very hard workers. We moved offices this past week and I was amazed at how wonderful this company is. They sent out Monro to do the evaluation of our move. He was pretty much right on the money for the amount of time it would take to do the move. They were courteous, gracious, well priced and extremely professional. They toon their time in wrapping the furniture so it wouldn't get damaged and were able to maneuver the stuff on to an elevator to get it to its proper place. They even moved furniture when we decided we didn't like it in the spot it was first put down in. I would highly recommend this company. I think having a business , the most important thing is to help the client to solve the problem, but clearly they cannot do the job. Here is my experience. In the beginning I have schedule moving with another company, however Justin talked me into choosing 5 star. So I went with 5 star. We scheduled the moving on Sat 11am. At 11 am he texted me, that he will be late, and I said it's okay, just gave me an ETA. He said 30mins, so I just waited at my apartment. Around 12:30 pm, he still didn't show up, so I end up calling him and then he told me they have some problems with the truck, so they cannot show up. My new community could only allow trucks on Monday to Saturday, and our lease will be end on that Saturday night, which means I have to move out on Sat. I ask Justin to call me back (I tried to call him, no one answered), we can talk through about some alternative choices. What I need is just the man power, I could rent a Uhaul and give the money to his guys, but he never replied to me. 1. This company cannot keep up with their schedule. 2. If they have any problems with showing up, they would not inform you. 3. If they had some problems from their end, they would just cancel on you and leave you hanging there. 4. They would not at least try to think some alternative ways to figure things out. 5. They would not pick up your phone if it's totally their fault. Please DO NOT choose this company. I saw all the good reviews on here and called the company during normal business hours to get an in home estimate set up. I only got an answering machine that sounded more like a private number than a business (Justin's) and I left my name and number and asked for a call back. This has been three days now and never ever did anybody even bother to call me back. Good for them if they are not interested in more business, but really bad customer service! read more

Owner Justin Aloneftis and team did a fantastic job! A few months ago my relatives sold their home of thirty years. As you can imagine this is a very trying experience, both literally and emotionally. Monster Moving assured them and handled everything with care and professionalism as they packed and placed everything in storage. Fast forward and said relatives needed to move into their new home. Again Monster Moving did a fantastic job. They helped unpack and set up all the furniture etc. My relatives are so happy in their new home and were very pleased with Justin and team. Recently hired Monster Moving for an in-town move and I'm pleased to report that it was a great experience. After contacting several movers for estimates, some charging an arm and a leg, and others responding with emails in half broken english and horrible grammar, we decided to keep looking. Luckily I found Monster moving on Yelp, and decided to give them a call. Got a really fair estimate for the move and decided to take a chance. If you are like me and fear that getting one of the lowest estimates in town means your furniture will arrive to its destination broken, missing parts, or not at all, I'm here to assure you that Monster moving is one of the most professional movers I have ever done business with (having moved 7 times in the past 15 years and typically paying double what I did). They were quick and efficient but also took their time to make sure everything was done right and well protected. I first used Monster 3 years ago and when I found out that I'd be moving back to FLA I contacted Justin to see if he could do my entire move. His team drove up to Hilton Head, packed and wrapped my entire apartment, moved it into storage and then moved it into my house once I moved in. Justin didn't show up for the move and didn't answer my barrage of calls until 2 1/2 hours later. He sounded like he just woke up. From reading the reviews it seems no showing is habitual and I sympathize with the rest of you who have suffered. Zero professionalism and more importantly zero remorse. Hiccups occur I understand that, however they should be followed by remedies. In my case I was left in the dark scrambling under pressure to hold up my obligations to my family and my HOA. I was so fortunate to be granted lee way and was able to find another company to come last minute. Yes I incurred extra cost but I tell you everything happens for a reason and my saviors were head and shoulders above 5 Star. The epitome of someone you don't want to take a chance and do business with even one time. This is a guy (The owner- Justin Aloneftis) who answers or calls back immediately followed by a text for a quote or info on new business but the second you change from a prospect to an actual customer, that all changes. He is a nightmare to work with. Do yourself a favor and run quickly away to any other moving company you can find. We thought what's the worst that can happen, they have insurance. It says it all over their website and social media pages. Justin himself verified it when we were asking about the move. We believed him, that was a huge mistake. We should have asked for the name of the insurance company and verified with them before we agreed to do business with him, I guess. We have used movers for several other moves and only ever had one issue and as soon as we reported it, that company immediately filed a claim and we were contacted that day by their insurance. It was handled and corrected right away. Issue #1 - THEY WERE LATE - It's moving day, we were told they would be there at 8am to get started. We get up early and get doughnuts and coffee for the crew at 7:45. 2 hours late, they finally get there and get started at 10am. They managed to flood our entire laundry room and garage. The temp worker they had for the day decided to cut the hose to the washer because he "didn't have the tools to remove it properly" because Justin didn't tell them there was a washer and dryer to be moved. The water ran for 5 min straight on to the floor before it was noticed and shut off. Something I'm certain an experienced mover wouldn't have done. Issue #3 -DAMAGE TO NEW HOUSE the temp mover again was carrying a bed frame and turned around and smashed the ceiling fan and snapped two of the blades right off the fan. He said he would gorilla glue it back on for us. We declined the offer and wanted it replaced. Issue #4 DAMAGE TO OUR THINGS THEY MOVED We had an 80 inch TV that they knew they were going to be moving. It was taken off our wall after the kids watched it all morning until they got there. They took it down and loaded it on the truck as one of the very last items. They got it down and brought it inside and set it in the living room at the new house. Our security cameras caught both ends of this move.When we went to turn it on two days after the move, it was broken. Screen cracked in two places across the entire screen. We immediately reached out to Justin to notify him that we needed to file a claim. He said he will look into it and get back to us. No reply. Next day we ask the status, he says "well the insurance company won't cover it since you waited so long to report it." We say " so long?? It's 3 days after the move. Who even watches tv when they are unpacking an entire house? That seems ridiculous, can we please have the insurance info so we can contact them ourselves and explain what happened and offer the proof we have to show it was damaged during the move." Justin then stops answering us. So I have to contact him from a different number to get him to reply because he thought I was new business so he answered right away. We spent the next 8 days going back and forth with him saying he was working on it. Meanwhile the TV they broke was worth thousands. He was clearly dodging the question of who do you have insurance with several times and said he was going to have to come out of pocket so I would need to "work with him." I offered to compromise with him and have him contribute only $800 to help go towards a new much smaller TV but not have him replace what they broke. He kept pushing back and dragging it out and trying to make me feel sorry for him for having to pay out of pocket. I had enough and said either you are going to make this right or not. He then wrote back and said we don't even know if we broke your TV so we aren't going to pay anything and refused to give me any of their insurance info. read more

So I contacted 5 star moving to get a quote for a local move into my storage unit as my new place was not ready yet. I was emailed a quote for an hourly move, we picked a date and time . I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years and these guys were the best by far i wish i would have found them earlier... Monroe and Harry showed up at the agreed upon day and time . They were great, they took apart my bed frame , shrink wrapped all my furniture . Knowing i was going into storage made me feel better with the way they handled my belongings. They carefully placed everything into the storage unit and im looking forward to them moving me out of storage into my new place in the next few weeks. read more

I asked for a quote and did receive one as I did with another mover. The other mover actually came out to view everything that needed done and moved. 5 Star Moving gave me a lower quote but that was contingent that they completed the move in the time allowed in the quote. I decided to go with the other moving company because I liked the promise that the move wouldn't cost anymore than the quote they gave me. No hidden charges or fees. So I let 5 star know that I selected the other mover. Justin kept texting me after I told them I had selected another mover. Justin then texted me asking for the reason, the price and who I selected. I gave them that info and then they started to harrass me and say how bad that company was. 5 Star sent me another text about how he had broke his neck and has a lot of doctor bills. Really and I want you lifting my valuables. 5 star continued to ask if I had put down a deposit and I still should get out of contract and have them move. Sent me another text about the horrible choice I made and sent over some one star reviews from yelp. He then texted me back again saying that he talked to his partner about giving me a flat rate. So these texts started on June 30th,2018 at 8:55pm and continued until July 31st at 8:53 PM. After my move I texted him back about how great my move went and of course no response. So although I didn't have 5 Star move me my experience with them in getting a simple quote was pure disaster. Again they didn't even come out to take a look at what they were going to move and the text harassment from Justin was just over the top. If they don't listen to you when you say no then why would they listen to you when they move you? read more

Worst experience. Had to reschedule twice as the owner says employees are not available at the last moment. Very unprofessional. You will have to keep following up till the last moment that they are coming. When you think of hiring this company have a backup plan as chances of cancellation are high. read more

Several hours later, no one answered, and when the voice mail picked it, it was full, so I couldn't leave a message...If I can't reach anyone by phone to get a quote, I don't even want to imagine all the other things that could go wrong, and in which case I wouldn't be able to reach anyone by phone. read more

I just moved with 5 Star and they're not. Justin promised me everything " I wanted to hear" according to Justin. He said he would itemize every box, he did not. He said he would be there making sure all moves were smooth, he was not. He told me if I needed anything done, he could do it, he did not. Now that the move is done, he won''t return a phone call. They don't keep changing their name for no reason. His foreman who no longer works for him oversaw the packing of my household. They could not have done a worse job. If I closed my eyes and randomly threw stuff in any box and miss mark every box, I could have done a better job. They use a ton of paper to wrap items, only to unwrap it and find a can of garbanzo beans. Really? I wasn't planning on opening every box as soon as I moved in, but had to in order to find anything. My ladder and other utility items are gone. Not horrible items to replace, but why do I have to? I wouldn't recommend these guys. read more
