I'm a bit late on this review because I've been moving, but I wanted to give a big "thumbs up" to the folks of 1-800-GOT-JUNK, especially Steven and Justin. I had a lot of old furniture and...yes, junk...that I didn't care to haul to my new home, so decided to give these guys a call. First off, let me say that I lived in a house with an extremely narrow driveway and am amazed that Steven managed to navigate the truck through it without incident! I gave the guys a tour of everything I wanted removed and was prepared for an astronomical quote based on the volume of "junk" I had but was pleasantly surprised with the price I was given. What a bargain! As for the "junk", I had it in the house and under the house and was sure it was going to take Steven and Justin at least an hour to make it disappear, but they made short work of it and were in and out of my home in no time at all! Steven and Justin were both extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Best of all, I didn't have to lift a finger, except to point to the "junk." I signed up for Yelp just to rate these guys! I'm going to sound like a shill, but I couldn't be happier with my experience. I needed a family garage with decades' worth of junk and old stuff cleaned out - way too much to handle on my own. So I decided to try out 1-800-GOT-JUNK. It was super easy to set up the appointment online (and they had pretty much any time available), and as promised, I got a call before the scheduled pickup time letting me know when they'd get there. Steve and colleague (sorry I forgot your name) arrived and were friendly and professional. Before they got started, Steve explained how the pricing system worked, and everything was transparent and understandable. They promptly cleared out everything I'd requested, explained why they couldn't take paint, chemicals, fire extinguisher, old firecrackers, etc. and provided me with alternate solutions to get those things disposed of. After they were finished, they swept up the garage, we settled the bill, and I (and my family) couldn't be more pleased. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Best money ever spent! I was in desperate need of getting rid of some big items since I am set to move in a few weeks. Having no friends with trucks and myself a tiny vehicle, I was left with the despair that I would have to break down those items and discard of it myself. Luckily for me, I saw one of their parked trucks. On the day of my pick up, Mike courteously gave me a call in advance. Sometimes I get a little uneasy when I have the cable guys or plumbers coming over. Some will hardly talk to you or seem like they do not want to be there but Mike was absolutely wonderful. We struck up a conversation and what seemed like a matter of minutes, all the items I wanted to get rid of was out. Mike was personable and efficient. I recommend using their services. I just came back from a trip and wanted the JUNK in my yard out of my sight. I call 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and they called back within 15 minutes. Made a appointment for that day in a couple of hours. Steven was the driver that called before he was coming and came on time. He reviewed our junk and said it would be about 1/3 of the truck and that is how they estimate the price (which seemed fair considering I didn't have to rent a truck, drive to the dump and especially touch the junk). He cleaned everything in 1/2 hour. He was running back to get the junk and worked really quick. My husband and I were very impressed with how quickly he worked and very pleasant when giving us all the info about their company. Booking this service was frictionless. They were easy to book and confirm, just the next day after I inquired. I had Mason and Nui come and remove my junk and they were friendly, accommodating and professional! As a single woman, dealing with services like this can be intimidating but they were exceptional and put me right at easy! Initially they quoted me above what I had budgeted to spend. I let them know what my budget was and they were understanding and very clearly communicated what they'd leave behind to match my budget. In the end, the truck wasn't as full as they thought and were able to take nearly everything. These two gentleman were amazing and you should request them anytime you use this service! I needed to do an estate cleaning and these guys are the best! Mike, Sergio, Luke and Shawn did an awesome job getting rid of all the furniture inside and outside of the house, as well as the piles of junk in the basement, backyard and attic. I felt so bad because there were so many stairs that they had to go up and down for many hours on two different days. The manager, Thaddeus, was a great communicator in going over the prices and setting up the days and times they would be here. They charge by how much space is filled up in the truck, and not by how long it takes or how many items are being disposed of.
