Update on my review. Overall, I'd give negative stars had it been possible. If I could rate teams then definitely I'd give our day two team five stars as they were everything you would hope for in our situation and more. However, day one and all other encounters with this company have been tragic. Day one, multiple estimates done with other companies and 800-got -junk remained on premises coming in with a lower bid to get the job started that day. Offer accepted and invoice sent to clients. Clearly stating all appliances and items in home to be removed in two, possibly three days as clients were only on island for a limited amount of time. I specifically asked the GM if this was the price and he stated they will not go over that as they always over estimate in order to avoid those situations. I asked several times to be clear and he confirmed. Clients state they should begin on first floor as there are important documents and valuables to be retrieved on second floor. They agree. Later, they ask if they can grab furniture upstairs. When I enter the room, one member isn't grabbing furniture but sitting through belongings in boxes hidden in closet so I remain in the room to watch closely. Trucks 3/4 full and clients are charged for full loads. Day two... night and day as you can see from my last review. They were fantastic. Day three... upset that team from day two had glowing reviews, this team is disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. We hear them throwing breakable items around the home. Shoveling things with a snow shovel out of rooms, into hallway and down the stairs, traumatizing my clients. A whole lifetime shoveled out the door with no regard to value, emotions or professionalism. One of their team members falls I'll upstairs and no way EMS can access him so we tell them to get him out of the house. I call EMS and his GM. He lost consciousness, no breathing and little to no sign of pulse. My client performs CPR 3x and keeps him breathing till EMS arrive. GM shows up over an hour later and tried to charge my clients for the full job and only half services rendered! Says under the circumstances, it would be difficult to get a crew to complete. Im sorry but one thing has nothing to do with the other and he didn't even thank my client for saving his employee's life!!! What he does is said it will cost an additional $1600 to complete. Wanting to sleep on it, we agree to discuss further the next day. We had to ask they at a minimum clear the front door so that it could be secured for the night. Clients distraught that rubbish was pouring out of the home into the driveway, GM said to make it right and personally come back to clear it out the following day. Following day arrives and we're told 2pm. Clients and I arrive at 12. 3pm and still no one. No call or anything. After calling multiple times, they finally send Gina to save the day. She successfully clears the rubbish on exterior but is instructed by GM to do nothing more. While there she is asking what can be done to make it right. We state, do the job, full job for what was contractually agreed upon. That's all. Evidently that's not what manager wanted to hear as he ducked all correspondence for days. I truly believe they were trying to wait till after clients left island to feel pressured into completing job with them. You would think for a nationally recognized company, there would be more oversight and quality provided. We've since hired another company that not only cleared everything in a timely, professional and respectful manner but also cleaned at the end of the day, sweeping, vacuuming and wiping things down before leaving. read more

Used the Yelp app to get junk removal estimates. This company responded quickly with phone numbers of managers and link to schedule an estimate/service. TIP: Call the managers before 4pm and after 8am even though the hours listed on Yelp are 8a to 6p. (Found out other companies are the same, so I'm assuming the listed hours are the hours they will actually show up/work to. Office hours are different. When I got a call back from Nainoa, he was so pleasant, professional, and cheerful. He verified there's a Yelp discount and began to explain how they charge (info also available on website). Their first message response also includes the dimensions of their trucks, so you can get an idea of your cost If you're able to estimate the volume is your junk once you speak to someone. I had also left a message with another manager, Micah. I'm not sure I'd he never returned my call or if he was the manager who called me to ask if they could come earlier than the scheduled time, but I couldn't hear him well since I was in a store and he spoke softly and wasn't clear. I said I couldn't have them come early. (It was 10:49) Nainoa gave a very rough estimate based on the pics I included in my request for an estimate as 1/2 truckload. (But it was not firm quote, of course.) He explained there were two discounts,$50 and $100 and the $100 was for 1/2 loads and up and he wasn't sure if my stuff would make the full 1/2 load. Also mentioned I had gotten a call and the person I couldn't have them come early. Nainoa said they would come during the appt time (12-2). One truck arrived around 12:30. He said he was new (he gave his name but I forgot it. (Sorry.) He was very pleasant and friendly. He said he'd look at the upright piano in the house (everything else was in the patio outside already) and let the other driver (he did say his name) that was coming (his boss) know about it. He mentioned his boss was taking his load to drop it off and would be arriving soon. The other driver showed up shortly and I do not remember him introducing himself. He was quiet and barely spoke to me or looked at me. Will not make guesses as to why, but after reading the many reviews about how pleasant Nainoa and some of the other guys were (and how pleasant Nainoa was on the phone), it was a let down. They worked quickly and efficiently and were done in about an hour (majority of my junk were large items - four couches, an upright piano, etc.) It turned out that at my stuff filled a total of 2/3 of a truck (it was divided between two trucks. They filled a partially filled truck and then loaded the rest in the empty second truck. It was harder for me to really see that it was 2/3 off a load, but I'll trust them as reputable so while slightly disappointed it wasn't the 1/2 load Nainoa thought it might be, I was ok with this since I got the Yelp discount that pretty much brought the cost down to a 1/2 load price. Would have been a five star review if the main guy was friendly as Nainoa and the quantity of my things was 1/2 load (but I do understand the rough estimate by photos is just that, a rough estimate.) You pay by credit card and your receipt is emailed to you. Looked for the names of the drivers on it but it wasn't there (just for purposes of this review.) Sorry - deleted the photos of my stuff that I took to get the estimate (forgot about posting them) and decided not to retrieve them from the recently deleted album on my phone. Would I use them again? Probably. Having been given transparency on how they charge before they arrived, I may forgo getting an estimate and just schedule a pickup in the future. (That wasn't available with another locally owned company that I was hoping to support since they were local.) But that will depend on what I need to get rid of next. (If I can figure out the volume of whatever else i I want to dump.) VERY HAPPY on having all my stuff gone in two days. Starting the effort to get estimates on day one, and job done by day two.
