Stopped in the restaurant in the lobby of the Hilton Vienna Plaza to meet up with a friends over drinks and strudel. The place is nice looking. My drink was very good...I hadn't found much bourbon around Vienna so it was great to get a quality Old Fashioned. The strudel with vanilla sauce was also great. That said, it's pricey (to be expected in a hotel) and service was not the model of efficiency. At that price point, I'd expect a higher level of service but that might be expecting too much. read more

Definitely a great restaurant in a Hilton Hotel. We typically do not like to go eat in the hotel restaurants unless it's outside of the US. This has to be one of the top. The food was great! My husband had the burger and fries. I had the Paprikahendel.i honestly thought it was just dumplings but came with this perfectly cooked chicken with a light tomato sauce with sour cream. It went so well with the potato like dumplings. I could eat this all day. Service was quick and staff was friendly. They just remodeled this restaurant which turned out so nice! read more

We had Christmas dinner here. I was expecting a regular dinner where I ordered and got the food, but instead, it was a buffet. Having to get up multiple times to fill up small plates just felt too repetitive. The best part of the dinner was the wine. Not a cheap restaurant for sure, but it's a stellar restaurant in terms of the quality of food, the service, and the ambience. Since they are open until 1:00am, very convenient. ÉMILE is located inside Hilton Vienna Plaza. I wanted to eat something light for dinner. So, I decided to give them a try. I had the bouillabaisse and a glass of wine. To be honest, it probably wasn't the best bouillabaisse (probably because there wasn't much seafood), BUT it was most fulfilling bouillabaisse I've ever had. Ambience is classy yet not uptight. Because it's a restaurant in a hotel, there were small children (very well behaved) and guests who were not dressed up (myself included). Unlike many restaurants where I dined recently, I thought ÉMILE was expensive but not overpriced. If you're looking for good food and great dining experience, ÉMILE won't disappoint you. This place is amazing! It is located next to the Hilton lobby. There is wifi and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I didn't see one minute when the staff was not working to make the restaurant a little cleaner or more organized. I ordered the Emile Breakfast for one - an 18 euro charge. It came with everything in the picture + a choice of hot drink (I went with hot chocolate!). It was so much food I couldn't even finish it all. Being vegetarian, I asked them to change 2 of the orders (that had animal products), and they did so easily. It was all delicious! And for the price point for all that food, it's hard to beat. The service was wonderful. The waitress I had was Miriam. She was new, as her nametag said "trainee" underneath. But you would never know. She was very efficient and kind. She even double checked my plates to make sure there was no meat. Overall, definitely recommend! This place was great. read more

ÉMILE is a superb restaurant which offers unique decor, great service and, about all else, excellent food. We happened to dine here during Vienna Restaurant Week, which is an excellent deal and a good reason to try some of the places on the list! As out luck would have it, it was also International Women's Day and ÉMILE offered complementary champagne for women. I think this shows how the servers try to go above and beyond diners expectations. Another example is when I said my daughter and I were splitting the chocolate tort dessert that came with my restaurant week meal - they split this in the kitchen and made an excellent presentation of it. If there was only one thing we tried to make us come back, it would be the mozzarella and triple root starter. There were beet cubes and arugla salad in addition to balls of mozzarella. My wife and daughter split the crispy chicken "burger" which is like an oversized American chicken sandwich with friend fries. What I had is not on the menu: beef carpaccio appetizer and a veal short rib in pastry. Both demonstrate the chef's inventiveness and were excellent in flavor. Finally the service we had from Mathias, Romana and Ian was excellent. We didn't make a fuss or request anything special (beyond the dessert split mentioned above). I returned later in the evening after a concert for a night cap and Mathias concocted the most splendid wet martini with Austrian potato vodka. Wish I could give zero stars. This is located in the Hilton and they charge you a sitting fee to have dinner even if you are staying in the hotel and a Diamond member. Ridiculous. We were tired from a day of site seeing and my 3 kids wanted a quick bite. Big mistake - Food is mediocre and overpriced. I only had a cup of tea and each of us was charged a sitting fee. Many better places in the area and they don't charge you a sitting fee. I would avoid this place. read more

Conveniently located in the Hilton Vienna hotel lobby. The drink menu is very creative. Would recommend to anyone staying at the hotel or just coming by to meet with friends. I had the dirty martini. Two days in a row my wife and I had lunch in the Emile. The first day we had Wiener schnitzel and guinea fowl risotto paired with Grüner Veltliner; finished with Apfelstrudel and vanilla sauce. The second lunch we had grilled beef fillet and venison with cranberry jus and complimented with Cuvée Wiener Trilogie ; and we perfected the meal with Apfelstrudel and vanilla ice cream. Too pricy for this little hotel bar but the staff were eager to please. We ordered a gin and tonic. We were asked if we wanted to try German gin and tonic. Never been here before so we said sure. 13.50€ for the Monkey Gin 13.50€ for the tonic 27.00€ per drink. We felt cheated but we did order it. We received the check after we drank them. Breakfast was also on the pricy side for a buffet meal. 20€ for breads fruits and runny eggs was excessive. Tried it twice. Canceled for the rest of my trip to explore other venues. The staff were always helpful. Tl:dr : There are lots of places to eat and drink in Vienna. Don't eat or drink at this over priced hotel. read more

This place is way overpriced. I am staying in the hotel and find it ridiculous that they are also asking me to pay a cover charge...aren't I doing that by staying in the hotel? The menu is 'meh'. They did a professional job for us. Searchingg the neighborhood near the Wein Borse, where we were attending a show, we dropped into the bar, had a delicious glass of wine, well described by our server, and split a weinerschnitzel. We weren't in a rush nor were we able to spend an hour or more, and they served us well with good, friendly, professional service, and very good food and beverage.
