My daughter ordered the French toast, and I tried the Monk omelette the server recommended. After too many mornings of coffee and cake, it was nice to have a real, satisfying breakfast. The place isn't fancy, but the food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend if you're looking for solid food without the fancy price tag.

The lady behind the counter was so sweet and happy to cut a fresh slice and asked me if I wanted a small or large slice. I said large pls : D It was delicious and I really enjoyed the icing. Loved decaf latte with oat milk, esp the milk foam on top. The homemade lemonade was nice and light- sparking water with a hint of lemon and mint, and not meant to be super sweet. Really enjoyed the vibes and it was a beautiful day to enjoy a latte with cake!

As opposed to cafe shwarzenberg, the servers at hegelhof are not snobbish and will not shrug you off, which is why we left shwarzenberg to come to this cafe instead. We spent sometime here just chatting and evading from cold weather. We had viennese coffee and the Sachertorte (viennese chocolate cake) as a combo for a pretty reasonable price. There are also brunch and dinner plate here which looked very palatable for a very good price as well. What's the most important to enjoy here though, is the atmosphere. If I had more time I would spend an entire afternoon here either to talk to friends or to read books.
