You can get a ticket online ahead of time through their app so you don't have to wait as long when you get there. It does get extremely crowded especially on weekends so try to queue early or on the app. This place has the dim sum carts going around which is always fun. The staple items (shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling, etc) are good while the chinese donut, steamed rice noodles, and congee are more average. Service is a hit or miss here, depending on who you get. Ultimately, nothing you wouldn't expect at an extremely busy dim sum restaurant where they got a lot of people asking for things left and right. I took my grandma here and we had a delightful brunch. The MOKO mall has a lot of options so you can walk around afterwards as well. Great option if you're in the area and looking to spend your early afternoon! Location: take the elevator up, look for Outback steakhouse (good business at this location) and its right next to it. The breading was soft, bbq pork was tender and full of flavor and the top was sweet. Overall I thought that the flavors and texture were spot on and made this a wonderful plate. Can't wait for Tim Ho Wan to come to America. Hopefully they retain their pricing as well.

It's a well recognized, popular place in central Hong Kong, located by Victoria Harbour. I had heard about this place from before visiting Hong Kong. Tim Ho Wan, which is a one Michelin star rated famous dim sum place, was at the top of my list for Dim sum but we couldn't make time for it based on our sight seeing itinerary. When we got here, there was a wait but the line was moving fast. You have to mention to the front door receptionist about how many people you have in your party and you get a number. Once your number is called, you get seated. Once seated, a server comes and places plates and silverware and offers you water and tea. Tea is complimentary. I have heard that some places in hong kong charge you for tea while you are under the impression that it's complimentary. The way it works for ordering dim sum items here is that servers constantly are around pushing carts full of variety of food items. You with flag them down or when they come by your table area, you tell them what and how much you want of the foods they have on their cart. There's a list of items on the side of the cart to tell you what all they have in that cart. Once you are given what you wanted, the server marks on your bill what you got and how much of it. Later, you take that bill to the cashier and pay. We ate a lot of variety of foods. Dumplings, buns, fried rolls, roasted pork pieces, and mango oriented dessert items. It was all delicious and good. We loved it. It was worth the visit. This place is good for anyone (locals and tourists). It's in a nice setting. The restaurant room looks like a banquet hall room with white cloth tables, chandeliers and servers in uniforms. Go check this place out. I highly recommend it. Depending on what you order, be prepared to spend the equivalent of about USD30 or more per person. What sets Lei Garden apart from the rest of all the dim sum restaurants is not just the deliciousness of their food, but their refinedness and creativity. Shredded Yam Egg Rolls: That's exactly where their creativity and sophistication come in. The filling tasted like a puree of yam mixed with minced pork and was almost heavenly. These are hands down the best egg rolls that I've ever had! Honey BBQ Spare Ribs: This is one of their specialties and I highly recommend that you order this dish. The meat was so tender that they fell off the bones. The honey BBQ flavor was so delicious that I needed to borrow a phrase from KFC that "it's finger licking good!" (Yes, forget about the chopsticks and eat with your fingers!) Fried Chicken Wings: The skin was perfectly crispy and the inside was moist and juicy. This is another dish that requires you to eat with your fingers and lick them to completely enjoy the experience. Har Gow: Thin, translucent, and slightly chewy skins were graced with a shrimp filling that was bouncy in texture and rich in natural flavor. Bean Curb Rolls in Broth: The fish broth was richly flavored, and not only did it make the bean curb rolls more enjoyable, it was so tasty that we finished every drop of the broth, treating it just like a soup dish. Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf: Tasty and not overly oily (Yes!) fried rice was generously mixed with Chinese sausage, minced pork, salty egg yolk, among many other goodies. It was wrapped in a lotus leaf and steamed to perfection that the aroma of lotus filled the air and stimulated the palate. This is another one of their specialties that I highly recommend. Siu Mai: They were tiny but were packed with a concentrated richness that was enhanced by the flavors of black mushrooms. Small, bite size, refined, and delicate - They were exactly what dim sum should be like! Beef Balls: Quality speaks here. There was not even a hint of soda powder or tenderizer. Again, the serving size was tiny but the flavor was supreme. And that perfectly matches the city where the value of food is generally not measured by its size, but by its quality.

If you like Morning Glory, they do a very good job with the seasoning and I usually request the Chef to add extra Thai Chilli to kick it up a few notches! Service has always been attentive, but I also noticed the high turn over rate as the familiar faces from the last few years are not to be found, parking can be redeemed, just notify the server at end of your meal!

Since we were not too hungry, we ordered the Shrimp Cheung Fun, Har Gow, and Siu Mai. It took around 5 mins for the dim sum to come out and the food looked good.
