Note: This is not your traditional, authentic Italian place. If you're open to Asian+western fusion cuisine and not a stickler about authenticity, then you will really enjoy this place! First, food's good! My dad is not a fan of western food in general since he's a very traditional Chinese man, however, he loves this restaurant. He loves noodles and seafood, which is what one of their signature dishes, lobster pasta, is all about! I ordered that once and he's right, it's delicious - the noodles were cooked al dente and the sauce was so savory that I wanted to lick the plate clean haha! They also have a salmon ceviche-like appetizer that was very delicious. The mushroom pasta also delivered good flavors, but still my fav is the lobster pasta. Second, the decor was classy yet casual and seats were comfortable. It could be a little romantic at night as the dining area was not fully lit, but I don't see this as a romantic restaurant... We were seating at the booth every time we went there and it's a good place to hang out. Third, the service was good! Although the servers were not always attentive, they were always helpful and patient, which is uncommon in HK. One thing to keep in mind, call ahead doesn't really work. When I called they told me there wouldn't have a table until an hour later, but we were hungry so we went there anyway. Guess what, we were seated almost right away when we got there! They give priority to customers who walk in, which makes perfect sense actually. Would definitely go back when I'm in HK again!

The food is a little pricier but for the upscale environment and the quality of food it's more than reasonable. For appetizer the mushroom soup is loaded with bits of mushroom, and not too heavy in the cream, totally beats the many other mushroom cream soups. The pomelo salad is refreshing with bites of pomelo and melon, and the greens are fresh. I also love the fried rich with truffle and fois grais, as well as the shrimp with squid linguine in a Tom Yum sauce. The sauce adds a little fusion, unusual flavor but it all works well together. The only thing that I don't care for is the pizza. Instead of a stretchy dough this one feels more like a thick cracker, and the cheese isn't very tasty. The blueberry drink is another win. The food here is such a bargain. I came here for lunch and I was instantly attracted to the Roast Chicken. I mean, come on! It has been a while since I last had a decent roast chicken, and judging from the look of it, no one can really resist that. The lunch set comes with soup and a piece of garlic bread. They are pretty decent in terms of the flavor but I have to say the star here is the chicken. It is nicely roasted and the meat is very tender and smooth. The only part I was a bit let down was the taste. It was a bit blend. However, the sauce that comes with it definitely makes it up though. It is sweet and sour and makes up to the lack of flavour in the chicken. Overall I would say the most impressive part is the price. Most food here are just around HKD$50 and it is really difficult to find a place that has such bargains nowadays with decent food. Some worry food that cheap might taste like they are from canteen but this is not the case at all. It is not too crowded and does not take long to get a table. When you do get in, get the chicken. It will not disappoint.

Still, I can't fault them too much for the location, and many people have actually done the same since there are a number of good restaurants in LKF area. This place is primarily a steak place, though they have a few other things to choose from as well. I believe lunch times they offer a AYCE sort of option, where you get a main and then the salad bar is buffet. I've been to it before and it's pretty good. I've heard however since COVID they have changed it somewhat. The other night I came and got the seafood guazzetto, which is about $300 HKD, and has a bunch of different things such as fish, octopus, clams, etc. Lots of seafood essentially. Other things I tried included the sides of brussel sprouts, mushrooms, bruschetta, some of my brother's sirloin steak, some of the fish of the day (halibut?). Overall, the food is quite nice. I will say, they tend to use a bit too much butter/oil here. I know this is kind of true whenever you eat out, but here it is definitely noticeable. They also brought out some veggies and dip before we ordered (which I had never seen done before) along with bread. The highlight of the night was the steaks of course. We shared the florentina (aka the porterhouse. A 32oz wagyu beast) and a filet. The meats came on a cutting board already cut, so the sharing was easy. They were perfectly seasoned, tender, and flavorful. We had roasted veggies and creamed spinach as sides. The latter was addictive! Chef Todd was around to explain their meat selection when I walked around to check them out in the case. We didn't get to send our regards to him, as we stayed late and were the last to leave. Todd, if you're reading this, hail to the chef! We went without a reservation and were seated right away. It was a Thursday night, but we had gotten there around 9 which might explain the vacancy. It's a great option for groups and celebratory dinners :)
