If you want that true local dining experience in HK, check this place out if you're in Tsuan Wan…read more Or even stop by because it's a short walk from the Tsuen wan train station. It's open all the time and offers piping fresh pineapple buns along with other assortments of buns and egg tarts that can be purchased right outside to go or ordered while you're at the table. You seat yourself when you walk in then they'll take your order once seated. The check is brought to you ahead of time but you won't pay until you bring the check up to the counter when you're done. Definitely a cheap eats option as we had two meals along with two pineapple buns and egg tarts for only around $15 US!! Downside is that it's cash only, they didn't accept credit cards.

This place is a pleasant surprise. First, the decor - the high ceiling and the nice decor makes it…read morea very inviting and trendy little spot. Second, the food is solidly good. The food is a little pricier but for the upscale environment and the quality of food it's more than reasonable. For appetizer the mushroom soup is loaded with bits of mushroom, and not too heavy in the cream, totally beats the many other mushroom cream soups. The pomelo salad is refreshing with bites of pomelo and melon, and the greens are fresh. I also love the fried rich with truffle and fois grais, as well as the shrimp with squid linguine in a Tom Yum sauce. The sauce adds a little fusion, unusual flavor but it all works well together. The only thing that I don't care for is the pizza. Instead of a stretchy dough this one feels more like a thick cracker, and the cheese isn't very tasty. The blueberry drink is another win. In short, I'll be back!

I personally ordered the Benedict and thought the pulled pork was a little to sweet. It did taste really good overall with the mashed avocado and the poached egg. The sweetness from the pork and the savoriness was from the egg & avocado complimented each other very well. The burger with duck meat was really savory and this reminded me of Peking duck. The spaghetti was okey imo, my mom enjoyed it though. Love the interior of this place! Super cute & cozy, service was pretty fast.
