This is a decent hotpot restaurant I've visited several times and a good option from the other places in the area.

Unlike standard hot pot which starts with a pot of broth, here you first received a sizzling, spicy chicken pot. The waitress asked us to wait a few minutes before lifting the lid, so the chicken gets to caramelized and the aroma to intensify. After you finish the chicken, they pour some broth into the almost empty pot to deglaze it, and viola, a flavorful broth is ready for you to begin your hot pot experience. This place offers a lot of varieties of ingredients for dipping into the pot, as well as a variety of drinks. Even though the place is really busy, the staff is pretty nice. The walls are decorated with cute cartoons and even the placemats too has a cartoon showing you how to properly enjoy your chicken hot pot.

You eat the chicken first and then your server adds in the chicken stock so you can hot pot with stock that is now flavored with leftover chicken juices and yummy sichuan spices. Honestly, this should be the only way we should hot pot from now on. But then again, Hong Kong is already on top of it. I'm American. It hasn't reached our shores yet, but it damn well should. On a Monday night (8PM), the wait was an hour long for our party of five. We ordered more food than we can handle, including a whole chicken, and paid HKD $200 (USD $27) each. Notably delicious foods included the chicken (duh), yin yang cuttlefish paste (very bouncy texture), and herng lings (deep fried soybean paper rolls that you dip into the soup for a second). This location is a little weird in a small street, but if you have Google Maps, you should have no problem finding it. Also, this is a chain so you can find one closer to you. P.S. Dishes are half off after 10PM. Ask your server for clarification.

For sauce, we paid for the make-you-own-sauce station and I made a mixture with garlic, XO sauce, and soy sauce. You can't go wrong with adding whatever you like into a sauce! For meats and veggies, we tried several types of beef, mutton, fish balls, fish, beancurd, and Chinese veggies. You can order whatever you want on their tablet. We also got the all-you-can-drink tea option with their delicious lemon tea. The waitress was extremely attentive and even gave us a free fried man tou dessert that came with condensed milk for dipping. The mantous had a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior. I couldn't help but indulge. Because we opted for the better quality meats, our total was about $100 USD. A more expensive meal but extremely satisfying and it was money wellspent.

We had a table-side pull of the noodles and it was very entertaining. There is a variety of different cuts/quality of meats that vary in price; so it is easy to stick to your price point if you want. The only thing that would be a bit more expensive; is that if you wanted extra sauces or certain sides; they do charge you per person for those things. I found that with the tomato soup base; there was no need for any extra sauces though. The soup base was flavourful and matched well with all the ingredients. It is important to note that this place is not AYCE; but a-la-carte ordering. We were still quite full nonetheless. All in all; was a great experience and the service is really above and beyond.

I don't care if its summer out there, I just want that beef right now. This has led me onto a search for the best all you eat hotpot restaurant out there because there's no arguing that it offers the best value. There may be niche ones which do extremely good meat and other items but they will cost you an arm and a leg to dine here. No good if I want this in the long run. That's when I chanced upon Giant Seafood Hotpot. This shop first opened in Tsuen Wan where it was situated on 16/f of a commercial building- the view was amazing and given it was all new back then everything was nice. the food they served was really fair for the price (160?) and all soft drinks were for free too (they serve you real coke by the way). I've been a fan of this place for the best part of a year when everybody else seemed to have discovered it and things went down hill from there. Nowadays, you have to reserve a table in advance by a week or so at least, that's if they let you make a reservation. The second thing is that walk-in is well nigh impossible unless you decide to start waiting from about 5 pm. IF you were lucky to get a table you will find that the place has gone downhill and no care has been taken to keep the place up. The food is alright if you go early enough when they tend to give out the prettier stuff, go later at night and you will really be scraping the bottom. Please make more tables available!

They were actively promoting their snow crabs 松葉蟹, they came in three different sizes and prices were very reasonable. We pick one that was 二斤 (roughly 2.67 pounds) for $338. On top of that, with the crab purchase, customers could just pay $1 for an order of Pan Fried Fresh Prawns which was worth $169. We also ordered a plate of Roast Goose and a Fish Claypot. Those two also came in a special price, $169 total, much cheaper than ordering them separately. The snow crab was steamed and delicious. The other dishes were very average. The Roast Goose was not that crispy. Overall the food was quite mediocre except for the crab that didn't really require any cooking technique. But the prices were very affordable, not a bad place to have a decent snow crab.
