A surprising find across from our hotel. A smallish place, sitting no more than 20, with a sign stating that it was Michelin Recommended. Usually I'm a little leery about Michelin Recommended restaurants. This place had a very funky 60's feel with indifferent service.
We ordered the following:
1. Deep fried wonton - nothing fancy, very crispy and tasty served with sweet & sour sauce.
2. Crispy Curry Pork Chop bun - chopped curry pork loin served in a toasted French roll. Not the spicy kind of curry, still full of favors and quite filling.
3. Signature Beef's Five Treasure - this is their signature dish, with beef flank, tendon, stomach, tongue and tail served in a clear broth with radish. Just right texture and tenderness for each piece with a tasty peppery broth and sweet melt in your mouth radish. Probably one of the best clear broth beef tripe I've had.
A great find that's open late night. You can't go wrong. read more
