That 100 Tapas is a trip!
Our farewell dinner with friends before we jet off back home to NYC. We ended our day of food touring at Evelyn's Garden, feasting on the infamous 100 tapas.
Evelyn's Garden is a modernized restaurant, serving up regular Chinese cuisine and looks to fit quite a lot of families. We were a group of 14 looking to tackle 100 small plates, varying in flavors, taste & texture, however - most dishes were duplicates of 4. The good - you get to eat a yummy dish 4x. The bad - you get stuck with something "blah blah"... just as much.
Most of the dishes were really good, and kids (we had 9 - 14) actually enjoyed it too! I love the truffle prawns, egg whites with edamame, dried pickled and salted fishes, dumplings and wontons! We liked most of the tapas... there's only 1 dish that stood out and was terrible, the sichuan soup that was overly spiced, made it inedible.
Overall an awesome experience with great friends and warm service.
