Their prices are very fair and amazing value for both lunch and dinner - the meat is not overly fatty, not too chewy, and good quality. Apart from the cuts of meat you order directly from the staff, you pick up other vegetables / mushrooms / carbs (udon/ramen/vermicelli/noodles) from the buffet area. For dessert, they also have a soft serve machine along with a slew of toppings. They are very strict on the meal time allocations (90 minutes), regardless of whether the restaurant is full and if there are folks waiting. They aren't pushy though, and just give you your bill 15 minutes prior to the time limit. I have found that if you eat at a consistent pace and don't just talk over the meal, the time is plenty and you'll definitely be full afterwards.

We had a reservation in a big semi-private room.  We had a super large table that could accommodate our party of 15, though a little crowded, there was adequate room. And the room was nicely decorated. Service was good but not refined.  It was nice that our main female server happily took group photos for us. The most memorable was the very innovative and fun dim sum!  I could see that they put in a lot of care to create and craft those dim sum, which didn't only look attractive, but tasted excellent.  This was the first time that I ever had Deep-fried Turnip Cakes, which had a nice crunchy battered outside, and delicious mashed turnip inside.  The boar shaped glutinous dumplings and gold fish shaped shrimp dumplings were other examples of excellence in both form and taste. It's worth mentioning that there's a pet park on the rooftop of the building.  Unfortunately it was closed for a private event the day we were there. I highly recommend the Greater China Club if you are in Hong Kong.

First, you need a reservation. At some point they were a private club too, but I'm not entirely sure anymore. Upon arriving at the building, it might be a tad confusing since it's an industrial building refitted for retail spaces -- the elevator and lobby look a tad empty, and it might feel like the wrong place. But once you've arrived at the floor, it'd be clear there's a fancy schmancy restaurant here. We've always gone with one of the set menus that the waiters recommend. They've never disappointed -- the way the food is served, the service, and the flavours. They often like to use dry ice for dramatic effect, but even simple dishes are served in an orderly, beautiful manner. Their seafood dishes don't disappoint (the abalone!), but the star is always the dessert for me. The black sesame roll is melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and their various jellos are always on point with the flavouring - subtle yet fragrant. I found their dim sum service more pricey for the amount of food, and prefer their dinner service. The waitstaff is always fantastic, which is a rarity in Hong Kong sometimes. Overall, it's a place I'll definitely bring guests to for a taste of high end Cantonese food, as well as for family celebrations.

Far from the typical HK cha chan tang where food is dropped off haphazardly and you get yelled at if you loiter for too long, T'ang Court is prepared to have some of your more intimate needs met. Our phones were low on battery by the time we arrived and they had a phone charger that included the specific cable for our phones, which was extremely fortunate for us. The layout was very nice as well, living up to the name of the lavish Tang Dynasty with large curtains, shiny plates, and bold colors. We had the tasting menu which promised lots of tradition and elevation of the finest Cantonese style dishes. First was the appetizer, a single fried abalone topped with fried garlic. I don't think I've ever had abalone fried before, but the taste reminds me of Typhoon shelter fried crab but with the meatiness of an abalone. It was a good promise of the elevation of the traditional Cantonese style cooking. Comes with a flower sitting on top of a slice of radish. Then comes the fried crab, made of two different kinds of crab and has cream and onions inside. The flavor is great, light like tempura but contains lots of fresh crab flavor. This disappeared quickly. The bird's nest with grouper is like a slightly more flavorful Westlake soup. There are some more subtleties in the flavors with the Yunnan ham, but not one of my favorites. Both the Japanese wagyu and the stir fried lobster was very interesting, because it has the flavor of the stir fried beef noodles, but with lobster, which is always going to go well with more garlic and shallots and onions. Other than this concept, it felt a little simple. Again comes with another flower on top of a slice of radish. The star dish is the abalone with sea cucumber with a heart of lettuce. This is the most traditional of all, and while I could definitely appreciate the technique it took to make this dish, especially to keep the sea cucumber whole while keeping its shape, I've never been a fan of either abalone or sea cucumber. This dish was so amazing that I would change my mind or make an exception; I just don't like the texture of something as slippery as a sea cucumber. By the time it's dessert, it's like the 5th time that I see the same flower on a radish slice, and that part is getting old pretty quickly. I loved the bean curd dessert as it is not too sweet and definitely tastes like the sweet tofu with a sprinkle of crushed grahams on top. The egg tart is not bad as well, but the jello is nothing special. All in all some dishes were amazing, but I think there were some dishes that could have been better; more special and different.

We got our food relatively quick (as you would expect). But they dropped it off and walked away without saying much so we were confused how we were going to eat our bowls of hot! soup noodles. Thankfully the couple next to us were friendly and could tell we were not from HK and guided us to look at a hidden drawer within the table (who knew!) The rest of the sauces were on top of the tables and we are used to the utensils not hidden but it's a nice touch! Gives this place a bit of character. The soup noodles are great here. It might not look like the most sanitary place I will admit, but it's always packed so the food is good!

We also enjoyed the sweet and sour pork, whole steamed fish, crispy beef with asparagus, lettuce wraps with minced filling and pine nuts, and the fried toast topped with caviar, which was such an interesting combination. Service was excellent. Bom, our server, was especially wonderful. He was friendly, engaging and attentive throughout dinner and really added to the experience. I also like that there's another side to Duddell's upstairs. The Upper Room on the 4th floor is more casual and serves dim sum and small plates, with a garden terrace. We didn't get to try it this time, but I definitely want to come back for dim sum. The setting is classic: white tablecloths, professional service, lovely bonsai tree decor, a leafy outdoor patio, and beautifully executed, made to order dishes. Locals treat their brunch as a long social affair, settling in for many hours. They have a paper checklist to order, and it is very easy to just keep going. There is a bottomless drinks option, with champagne flowing at most tables, but we skipped that component. Almost every dish feels refined here. Highlights include polished & personalized service, and for food: definitely get the fried stuffed bean curd, delicate dumplings, perfect Peking Duck and desserts (we tried them all!)
