Hubby loves a good apple strudel, so when we learned that there is this little gem of a shop that sells only strudels, we made a point to try it. It's not anywhere near the touristy old town area. So be prepared to travel if you want to try it. It's not hard to find though, just takes some time because you have to ride a tram and then walk 5-10 min to get there.
Now for the strudel. I am no strudel expert and rarely eat them. We got an apple strudel first to eat right there. Hubby really enjoyed it and said it's not the usual apple strudel he is used to, but still very delicious. We then got three more to go (one of each type). We took it back to our condo to share with others in our travel party (that didn't make it out to Susta Strudl).
The truth is, is it sooooooo good that you HAVE to make a trip out there? I don't think so. However, it is quite cheap, quite yummy, and if you have the time and want to see some place outside of Old Town AND you like strudel, well, then it's a no brainer to give it a try. read more
