The young folks here were quick and generous with their portions and it's so great that you can get as many flavors as can fit for the gram weight that you selected. We were offered as many gelato flavours as we'd like to fit on our cone. After sampling a few, we selected three (strawberry, mango, pistachio) and were impressed with the handcrafted flower creation. The gelato was rich and smooth, with dense flavours from the natural ingredients. Their cones can be topped with macarons, for those who have a sweet tooth. Look, there is a gelato shop on every other corner in Prague (that is not a criticism, I consider it a compliment). This is absolutely my favorite thus far. They have tons of flavors, they make most everything on site, they use organic eggs and no artificial ingredients. We also really liked that they had servers from a number of different countries, including one from the U.S. We were greeted by a Czech, told about the shop from an American, and served by an Italian. The prices are higher than most of the other shops (about $9 for their extra large size). They will pack in as many flavors as you would like. Pro tip: we went across the street to Chimney Cake to buy a Trdelnik first and ate it with the gelato. It is the ultimate combo! We walked by Amorino several times a day since it's right off the tram to our apartment. It can get a bit busy during peak tourist hours, but it's not too crowded later in the evening. The staff was always polite and friendly, for the most part. The gelato is good, not great. If you pick nicely colored flavors and if the person preparing it is on point, you'll probably get an Instagram worthy photo of your cone. I went for my favorite, pistachio plus added raspberry to try to make it pretty. However, the girl that prepared it rushed through it so it wasn't very pretty anyway. Pistachio macarons are life. However, the macaron, in my opinion, was not worth the added cost. It was flavorless. I passed on it when we returned on a different night. They are open fairly late, I believe until 22:00. So if you're craving something sweet in the evening, this might just hit the spot. read more

Saw this walking out of the St. Charles Bridge and looking in the store from the street, everything it looked really good... it did not disappoint! I ordered the waffle with vanilla and hazelnut ice cream with whip cream and chocolate sauce. The waffle batter is light and cooked perfectly. Stumbled upon this place to hide from the cold winter weather. Was lucky enough to get a table and order the hot chocolate and macaron combo. The hot chocolate was very thick, it was almost like drinking melted chocolate - incredible, for a chocolate lover. The macaroons were interesting, seems like the filling was made from the gelato that they also served. I wasn't hating it, it was just a unexpected cold surprise. There are enough local ice cream people so even if there is a long line you don´t have to wait for a long time. And people are cool, friendly, very helpful. It´s perfect. Simply perfect. The concept is different than anywhere else. You don´t pay for scoops but for the size of a cone. There are three different sizes. And than you can pick as much as you want of ice cream flavours and they will creat a bloom of it. So the advantage is that you can taste more flavours than just two or three at once. They have a creamy and sorbet ice creams. They have also coffee, some desserts etc. So it is actually cafe but it´s the ice cream why you go there. Trust me. Ice cream. Delicious. read more

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. This gelato shop is located in one of the most touristy areas in Prague. Moreover, prices are a bit higher in this area. I would say the gelato and macaroons were definitely yummy (especially on a warmer day in Prague) but nothing too special. You can find these Amorino shops around Europe so I would recommend finding a more local sweet shop or trying out a trdelník if you haven't already. read more

I've been to Amorino in New York, Venice, Paris, Barcelona, Munich, and now Prague. Lemon Basil is my favorite. I noticed in the US if you order 2 flavors they give you a tiny amount vs 5 flavors they give you an enormous amount. However in Europe the servers have the sense and ability to adjust for and give you a fair amount so you do not feel cheated. read more

Came in after wandering the castle. Now I'll be upfront, I know very little Czech but this place is clearly very touristy and was recommended by our Airbnb host. We ordered two macaroons, a hot chocolate and my girlfriend asked for just warmed almond milk. Again, even with the language barrier, they repeated it like they understood but were frustrated. We asked if we needed to clarify at all but they ignored us and worked out the total. They then proceeded to charge us for a latte plus almond milk which totaled $5 USD. Seemed expensive for Prague but we paid anyways. We moved on to pick up our drinks and sure enough they made us a latte with almond milk. We explained to the barista what we were trying to order who understood thankfully and quickly warmed some up. Overall the place is cute but know they are quick to be short, ignore and make you feel stupid. Would not come again. read more

Amorino, located in the middle of Prague's central square, is a sort of tourist trap. The pricing of the gelato is about 3x the gelato right across the street. However, I do have to say that the gelato quality at Amorino is quite good, and they are also very generous in giving you a very good portion of gelato even if you order a small cup or cone. You can actually get 2 flavors on a small cone or cup, which is usually not possible. When you ordered the cone, the gelato is put into flower shapes, which is both visually appealing as well as tasty. Flavor-wise, Amorino has every flavor that you can imagine and want. They have the usual fruit sorbet flavors ranging from mango to lime to melon and another traditional gelato including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and pistachio. Enjoy but I would look around as well since there are cheaper gelato places right around. read more

Very rude people that work here. I came in on a very cold day. My daughter wanted a hot chocolate and I asked for hot almond milk to warm me up since I can't drink coffee. When I went to order my almond milk, I was told I would be charged for a latte. I figured this was fine and I didn't want to complain since this was maybe their protocol. After I was rung up, I asked her if she had cinnamon powder I could sprinkle on my milk. The cashier me gave me an attitude looked very upset at me and said, "I thought you wanted soy milk." I politely said, "no, I'm sorry I said almond milk." She then got all flustered and started speaking with her other coworker who was standing right next to her. And was very upset running back and forth from the register to the barista and huffing and puffing. I even started wondering if I had maybe said something that was rude. I then checked with my boyfriend if I had said almond or soy he confidently assured me I said almond. He was just as confused as I was. What was interesting is that she (the cashier) seemed to be in a great mood prior so it's not like she seemed previously stressed. After she was done being upset and making faces she charged us again for almond milk. I was so confused. My boyfriend and I asked why and she said, "that's what we do. You wanted almond milk so it's extra." I responded by saying, "yes, that's fine but you already charged me for a latte in place of the almond milk." To which she responded with, "yes, because you wanted almond milk." So basically I get charged here twice because I want hot almond milk and no coffee. I get charged for coffee and almond milk. She was so rude and completely terrible customer service. It astounds me that she felt she could treat customers like this let alone human beings. What a shame. read more

What a gem of a place! We ducked in here to warm up and I was floored by how good their hot dark chocolate was! I had my doubts as they had a dispenser (mixer) for their hot dark and milk chocolates but we realized they needed the heater/mixer as they were truly liquefied blocks of chocolate. We ate ours with spoons as they were so thick and they tasted like what I imagined an orgasm would taste like in chocolate form if such a thing existed. Free bathroom break as well. Tables are a bit small but they had plenty plus taller tables with barstools against the windows. read more
