This restaurant was nicely situated around the corner from our hotel so it was a no brainer to try it out, especially because of the good Yelp reviews. I'll cut to the chase. It must have been an off night because there were 7 of us at dinner and 6 main dishes were overly salted. The one saving meal was the porcetta which was both cooked well and properly seasoned. The artichoke appetizer was very good but all of the pastas were really al dente. Al dente is fine, but when the pasta is too tick to start with, it ends up being a chewy clump of dough. I will start with the positive. The food was decent. Now for the negative. Food was over priced. Did not meet the quality for which I was charged. There are multiple more moderately priced restaurants around the area where the food was just as good if not better with a better price point. The server was not helpful. Was not paying attention to our general needs. When the water was empty did not bring or ask if we wanted more, however as soon as the wine glasses were near empty, we were asked repeatedly if we wanted more. There's a definite industrial feel to the space, with concrete walls and ceiling, exposed ductwork and pipes, and giant lightbulb-looking hanging lamps. The menu features Italian-inspired dishes plus a vast grilled meat and fish menu meant for sharing. Our stellar server Honza brought out platters of raw whole fish and giant steaks to basically give us a tour of our options if we chose to go that route. Many opted to share platters, while a few including myself selected other items on the menu, but still tasted some of the shared meats and fishes (win win!). Since the grilled meats and fishes would take a while to cook for the size of our party, we started with a glorious selection of cheese and charcuterie, along with some delicious breads. I could have eaten all the meat and cheese, all of it. It was difficult to restrain myself because all of it was REALLY good. I ordered the intriguing white tomato soup, featuring a combination of white and traditional red tomatoes. The soup was light and brothy with a slight sweetness. Temperature-wise it was not served piping hot, nor was it a chilled soup, so I'm not sure how I feel about the middle ground. I think it would have been better a bit hotter. Otherwise it was good, and interesting, but nothing mind-blowing. For my main dish I selected the tortellini filled with lobster meat with shellfish broth, black caviar, and sea lavender. I really enjoyed it even though the portion felt small since it was meant more as a first course than a main course. It truly tasted like the sea, quite briny. The caviar was potent, so I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who isn't a fan of the stuff. It was fine by me though. I tasted some of the shared fishes and steak including the sole with lemon sauce, and sea bream. I liked the texture of the sea bream better. It was succulent and juicy, while the sole was a tad firmer. The Italian steak was amazing with the truffle sauce. I kept taking more bites even when I said "just one bite" several bites prior. Dinner at La Bottega Linka was a delight! With the exception of my so-so warm-but-not-hot soup, the rest of the meal was excellent! I strive to find restaurants that delight all my senses and LA Bottega Linka succeeded all around. In fact, the food was so good, we came back a second time. What a great find. The first evening we ordered a beet salad with fresh pulled mozarella. So tasty. Followed by a grilled rib eye steak served with a truffle sauce. Oh my, such delicious flavors with the steak grilled to perfection. We had a beautiful side salad tossed with a simple vinaigrette. Lovely. Last, for a sweet end of meal, a serving of tiramisu. Fantastic. I must mention that their selection of wines allowed us to try a red wine from a local vineyard that paired beautifully with the meal. All of our experience was carefully orchestrated by our server, Jan, who truly was a delight to experience. We could not let go of our incredible experience and decided to go back again on our last eve in Prague. Seeing Jan again was like being welcomed back by a good friend. This time, we asked Jan to select each of our courses and he wowed us once again. We ararted with a delicious pasta over which Jan grated fresh truffle. This was paired with a Pinot Grigio. The clean minerality of the wine was a perfect contrast to the rich decadence of the truffle pasta. Our second course was a whole Sea Bass fish grilled beautifully. Jan expertly filleted the fish and served it with a platter of grilled vegetables and an unexpected grilled cabbage served with mushrooms in a sauce. Best cabbage I have ever had. Who knew? Our sweet end of meal was a couple cannellonis with espresso. Another heavenly meal. Our hug goodbye with Jan left us smiling and fully satisfied. Amazing breakfast! Their coffee was maybe the best I had in prague, and the latte came with some brown foamed sugar that was really cool. The eggs were delicious, and everyone I went with also enjoyed their food. Maybe a little pricier than the ones around it, but definitely get what you pay for. One of the better meals we've ever had. The artichoke appetizer is phenomenal - great mix of textures and intense artichoke flavor. Gazpacho was better than any we've had before. It was particularly enhanced by the pickled veggies. Lamb entree great as well. Loved the onion puree, sauce and current combo. Sweetbread was a bit plain but fine. The most outstanding dish was the chicken. Sous vide to perfection with an added crispy skin. Mushrooms were a lovely addition. My husband and I were looking for a late night dinner. I didn't want too much to eat but definitely needed a meal! This restaurant is listed as Italian but not the same Italian we are used to in the US. No complaints, the meal was amazing I highly recommend eating here but don't look for traditional Italian. I enjoyed the pork tortellini with a light cream sauce and leeks. My husband had sirloin with potatoes and salad. We shared and enjoyed every bite. We did not have apps or dessert because it was late. But we saw others and they looked delicious. Highly recommend having a meal here! read more

Great food grumpy waitress! Glasses of wine in Prague are small pours, she made even less of a pour. She brought the bill and when we wanted to pay with credit card she charge us more than the bill after she insisted on a top. Once I told her that she was charging us more, she corrected it and said nothing . So if you go there and get a blond waitress with a ponytail, ask for another waitress. The food is good. I have to say, I did not want to go to such a pricy place ( turned out our very nice meal for 4 was only $122 + tip USD and was a fabulous meal!. Had mussells, risotto, tortilinni with salmon and pasta and another pasta dish. had 3 salads and a caprese burrata dish to start. We had show tickets so no time for coffee and dessert. This is a treat yourself to a special meal type of place and I think you should! But if their wine is anywhere near as tasty as their breakfasts, this is the spot. I came in, right at opening to see local produce being delivered. All the stuff looked fresh, and it didn't look like they got it at some huge market warehouse or something. Good first sign. So I ordered the La Bottega Breakfast, which consisted of Butter; bread from their bakery; homemade pâté; mini hot dog with homemade mustard and fried onion; roasted mushrooms and baked cherry tomatoes; hollandaise sauce; boiled egg; prosciutto cotto; Italian salami; Asiago cheese, and a smoothie! It was an incredible spread- I didn't know what to dip into first. The mustard was spicy and fresh, went well with all the cured meats. It was simply overwhelming how much goodness was on my plate. My friends and I came here around 12 on a Tuesday. Every single thing here was delicious! After you order, they give you bread which was so fresh and delicious. My friends ordered the artichoke risotto, potato/truffle soup (I forgot the name), and some meat/sausage dish that I also forgot the name of. They all said their dishes were fantastic. I don't eat meat or dairy so my choices were limited. I ordered the side of roasted root vegetables and I expected very basic vegetables. It actually ended up being really good though! After terrible steak at the Casa de Argentine, I was worried ordering entrecote here, but seeing that they have freshly delivered limited cuts, that they track on the whiteboard, I decided to give it a try. We had steak tartare and the mushroom smoked potato soup - both were given thumbs up by me and my partner. We shared 650gr of entrecote and the steak was done very well, the temperature to our liking, sliced and served with grilled vegetables and side of salad. We also ordered a desert, which we enjoyed tremendously and I am happy to recommend this place to the next Praha visitor or reseident. This place was down the street from our hotel, so we decided to get dinner here the first night we arrived in Prague. The pasta was delicious; I got the pumpkin risotto. They provide you with bread and oil/vinegar which is a huge plus. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and fancy. We got macarons for dessert, and they were the BEST we have ever had. Only downside was the portions weren't as big as some Italian places, but with the bread, pasta, macarons, and carrot cake, we left feeling very satisfied. read more

Off of a recommendation we came here w reasonable expectations. We came in on a Wednesday evening at around 7pm and sat down right away. Interior design if very nice and modern w an industrial feel. You can walk right up to the counter and request meats and cheeses as a starter like we did. We ordered scallop Caesar salad which was interesting but not something I'd order again. Picked up the rigatoni crab dish which was so salty my wife's feet ankles and fingers swelled up! Octopus w truffle mashed potatoes was good but not something I'd run back for. I will say, the thing that bothered me was not the average food, but the service from the initial waiter (the other waitress was pleasant but too quick to try and grab our dishes) Side note: very curious on what the fish for 2 would taste like...as it looked amazing. The food is tasty, fresh and interesting but I believe it doesn't really correspond to its price. Whether it's good or wine I believe the price tag is a bit high.
