They appeared to have a wide selection of wines and other drinks, although most were drinking beer, as it is, after all, Prague. Stopped in without a reservation and a group of seven and the staff really went out of their way to see us in what was a busy night. We are glad we did because the food was excellent. We were so lucky to be able to get in for lunch without a reservation. Beautiful and family style restaurant. The host was so friendly and you were immediate at ease. They noticed we we're tourists and decided to treat us with free drinks and provided excellent suggestions for food and beverage pairings and even free samples. They not only noted small details like dietary restrictions but gave excellent tips for what to do after eating. The food- I am told the lasagna was the best my friends ever had. The pastas were incredible, the coffee and drinks were excellent too. Not a terribly large number of options for vegetarians but food is made to order so definitely is customizable. Loved this place! My friend and I decided to try Italian in our time in Prague, and we were so happy we did. It's hard to find good Italian food since our trip the year before to Italy, and this place definitely hit the spot. We were hanging out at a bar previously as we ate a rather late lunch, so came here around 9pm. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table. When we got in, we were seated in the lower level, down the stairs. The place is pretty spacious overall, but definitely gets packed. We ordered a pizza and a pasta to share with 2 glasses of Chianti. For the pasta we got the Pennette all' arrabbiata, which was the Penne with garlic, tomato sauce, chilli peppers. This was so flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly, slightly al dente. For the pizza, we got the Salame piccante, which included mozzarella, salami, chili peppers. It was also great. The dough was fresh, and not overcooked like I usually see with thin pizza. Overall, would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area! read more

We made reservations online for 7:30 on a Saturday night. After visiting a few of the Christmas markets we were exhausted and luckily they were able to seat us around 6 pm. The restaurant is small and cozy. We sat downstairs. I will say that the attentiveness from the wait staff can be improved on but the food was delicious. We had a margherita pizza and tagliatelle alla bolognese and both were very good. The pizza has a thin crust which is chewy and crisp. The cheese is fresh. The pasta is handmade. I had a glass of Chardonnay and my husband had a Pilsner. Our total bill was around 610 czk. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal in Prague. read more

Fabulous find! Delicious Italian bistro wth a full menu of classic dishes and pizza. The upstairs area was crowded & clearly the smoking section. We were directed downstairs to the non-smoking section where there were only 2 other diners. My first thought was I hoped we had a waiter down there. Turned out we had an excellent one who provided great service! I ordered a Pinot Grigio (pretty much my only option), the Caprese Salad, and spaghetti with seafood. The wine was decent, the tomatoes & basil in the salad were fresh tasting and the mozzarella had a lovely creamy texture. My spaghetti was awesome! Perfect al dente with great texture and loaded with fresh baby clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, and salmon. So much flavor & I was in happy food heaven!!! My husband ordered a good Italian red wine (he had a much better list to select from), the house salad - which was huge, and Spaghetti Bolognese. He said his pasta was delicious, too. We were pretty tired of goulash and pork knee by the end of our week in Prague and found this great Italian restaurant near our hotel. It's just a few steps outside the main tourist area, and the food was reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, and the smells had us salivating as soon as we walked through the door. I had the spaghetti alla carbonara and boyf had the tagliatelle with pork, pesto and sun dried tomatoes. I'm a fiend for freshly made pasta, and the pasta was here SO FREAKING GOOD. The carbonara was fantastic - huge chunks of bacon and not at all eggy. I stole a few forkfuls of the tagliatelle and it was super tasty, with super fresh pesto and basil. Because our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs, we also split a pizza, which was gigantic and delicious. The crust was thin and slightly chewy, just the way I like it. I will say that everything we had was quite salty, which is only a problem because they charge for bottles of water. Two pastas, a pizza, and a large bottle of still water ran us about 830 CZK, with a ton of leftovers. read more
