The Patio seating in the inner courtyard

Not the cheapest place, but they have a beautiful outdoor courtyard seating that one can very much enjoy! And their French croissant and pain au chocolates are rather decent.

I was craving a croissant and this bakery hit the spot! I got an almond croissant, and it was super flakey and buttery with a good amount of almond flavor but not too sweet. The only gripe I had was that the croissant was more burnt than I would have liked but it was still quite tasty.

Lovely cafe! Enjoyed breakfast here twice. Everything was delicious. We're convinced the almond croissant is the best we've ever had.

Just stopped by in the afternoon to have some coffee to warm us up and pastries. They check your COVID pass/card then you can choose where to sit. The fruit tarte and torte both were really good. They had other pastries, quiche, and light sandwiches to choose from as well. You pay at the front with the cashier when you are ready to leave.

Mango gelato is my favorite! Get any gelato!! Take the time and step just a bit outside of the Old Town Square for gelato that is far superior, cheaper and bigger than the ones right by the Astronomical Clock. It's a cute little shop with a back courtyard. Nice quiet reprieve from all the mobs of tourists!

We happened upon this place as there was a short burst of rain. Cute front windows displaying some of the pastries but there is a lot more here than just bakery goods. We had a lovely quinoa salad which is unusual to find in the city of Prague. We also had some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches European style. Finished off with some of the pastries of which they had a beautiful selection and of course the coffee service was over the top. Very helpful staff quiet location down a little side street. The type of place you find if you wanted to get lost.

Really good food. Nice ambiance. The waiters are really friendly and nice. They speak English and are patient. The gulash is very good, so are the croissants, the daily specials and the pizzas. The desserts are very tasty and not overly sweet. I definitely recommend this little café for a quick meal, a coffee, tea time or even a long meal with several courses. You can get any pastries and salty goods to go with coffee, hot chocolats and tea as well.

    Wrong size of layers

Complete disappointment. The place is beautiful. Just fantastic decor and concept. We stoped for a coffe as walking around. My girlfriend asked a cappuccino and I took a white hot chocolate. We also took a lemon tart to share. The cappuccino was espresso with milk, and not that strong taste of coffee. The white chocolate had the taste of burned milk and no taste of white chocolate. The lemon tart was a disaster. The base was supposed to be a kind of biscuit, but it was soft and tasteless. The lemon curd was as thin as a paper sheet, with not so much lemon and the meringue was too much (it was awesome meringue though) that dominated everything. What can I say? Maybe we asked for the wrong things at the wrong day

Fruit tartlette: flaky, buttery crust, not too sweet cream filling, and fresh fruits Mocha: amazing chocolatey goodness with whipped cream on top

Great place to stop in for coffee and a snack in Prague's Old Town! We were recently in Paris and craving some pastries, and au Gourmand did not disappoint! I enjoyed a delectable mille feuille and some lovely cookies. The vanilla macaroon was particularly delicious! You have to try one! The customer service was great, and the staff spoke English for us to make our exchange easier. We will definitely be back!

The strawberry cake was rally good. Not too sweet, just the right flavor. The service is as usual, the "Czech standard". They don't simile often!

Cakes very tasty, just as in France. Coffee fair enough. Place bit crowded but still very nice.

They have lots of very interesting and intriguing desserts that you can see on their display. We showed up in the afternoon for a quick snack and I was glad we did, it was our last night in Prague and I wish we could have found this sooner. I had a hard time deciding on two desserts. I was tempted to get the one that looked like a lemon, which was lemon flavored. I mean, it looks legit, like a real lemon but its a pastry lemon flavored. We decided on the hazelnut one, shaped as a hazelnut and hazelnut flavored (duh!) and that was so good! We also shared a pistachio flavored one. Totally did not disappoint. Props on the creativity and beautiful dessert art. Flavor and presentation was superb. So good we went twice :) highly recommended

WOW. IF I COULD GIVE A PLACE MORE THAN FIVE STARS YOU'D BET EVERYTHING IN MY WALLET THAT THIS PLACE…read moreWOULD BE GETTING 11 STARS. Okay. Let me just start by saying the ambiance is truly beautiful and classy. It's a relatively small space, but well-lit and beautifully furnished. As you walk in, you automatically are faced with the most beautiful selection of cakes ever, and when you take a look at the menu, you can see the anatomy of each cake and what it's composed of. My friend and I took 10 minutes to decide on what we would order, because they all looked so amazing. The workers were very patient with us, and didn't seem upset when we told them we wouldn't be ordering any drinks to go along with our cakes. I've been to other cafe's where workers will keep asking and insisting until you're finally pressured into ordering a drink. Here's what we finally decided on: Pistachio Cake 169czk - I think we both agreed that this was probably one of the best cakes we've ever had in our lives. The pistachio mousse was strong and rich, but not overpowering. I remember times where I would get a small scoop of pistachio gelato at my local geletaria in Hawaii, and end up being sick of the flavor after three bites. I was scared the cake would end up being like that, but I think I could have finished this entire cake by itself and not gotten sick of it. In fact, this was my friend's choice, and I almost wanted to trade one of my cakes for hers because it was so darn good! Amande 149czk - This was my second favorite. It would probably have been my first, if the sable on the bottom wasn't so hard. The sable wasn't as buttery as I would have liked, and frankly, I don't remember much about this part of the cake (and as an avid cake eater and researcher, I usually can remember every component of a cake). The caramel mascarpone cream was the star of the show. Despite the light and airy consistency, the cream was packed with so much caramel flavor without being too sweet. The caramelized nuts on the top gave the whole cake a great crunchy element and went well when coated with the cream. Swan 189czk - I picked this one because of the beautiful presentation. I usually never order any cakes with fruit fillings, but this one seemed to be a good balance between the rich pistachio and amande cake. The coconut mousse inside was very light and didn't taste much of coconut. I loved the balance of the tropical mango, pineapple, passion fruit and coconut combo, and loved that the cake overall wasn't too sweet. Lemon 189czk - I'm guessing this is the most popular one, or the one they're most known for, or the one they're trying to push the most, because when you order this cake, you get a lemon sticker that you can stick on the Lemon Wall after writing a message. Although the cake's execution was superb and the concept was cute, the lemon cake was our least favorite. My friend said that the inside passion fruit filling and lemon ganache were too sour for her, even with the help of the white chocolate outside and extra sugar they provided.
