Hats off to our server/hostness/bar keeper/waitress/cashier/food runner! She did it all and ran the place alone. This is a great pizza place. Worth the oceanview, outside scenery close to Neptune statue. Perfect escape from the sun with great drinks and food. Cheese on pizza was perfect! The crust had a buttery flavor and it was cooked perfectly! My non pizza lover kid loved the waffle fries and mozzarella sticks!

When I tell you all this is a hidden gem found during the perfect vacation! Come here and get the pizza. The service I can't say all servers were a bit slow but ours was a bit slow. I saw other patrons receive faster services after sitting after us (different servers). It was weird but it is what it is. I will say the server ,when at our table, was very nice. I'll say it was just along day . If we received the same level of speed as the others this would be a full 5 star just being transparent. Back to the pizza! Not only is phenomenal but it surprised myself and my hubby. I didn't enjoy the drinks as much but they were ok. We did sit during happy hour so the $5 drinks are worth a try. I believe everyone's cocktail preferences are different ad the drinks were too syrupy for my taste. Be it that this is a college beach town it's not unexpected. I still enjoyed myself! There was a special going on for $10/2 topping pizza and it was perfect for the kids! Back in Chicago our pizzas would easily be $30 each . I love Virginia Beach it's the cutest gem to vacation. There's always something to do for parents and the kids! Kids of price got pepperoni, hubs sausage + banana peppers, and I had the Truffle Pizza . If you're looking for an aesthetically cute & delicious place to eat come here. Come find it off the beach when you're in town or being a tourist in your own city.

Came for a drink after checking in the hotel. We met Akira the bartender and she was fantastic! We ordered a couple pizzas and our favorite was the rainin meatballs. For dessert they have ice cream sandwiches in three different flavors . We chose the strawberry and it was very good. This place is big with plenty of seating at the bar and table seating as well. They also have outdoor seating with live music but we preferred to watch a little football on the TVs. Akira made great recommendations for restaurants in town and places to visit as well. She checked on us often and took care of everyone at the bar as well as takeout orders with a smile on her face. The food was good and Akira was terrific at her job and made us feel welcome. Can't wait until our next visit!

The ambiance was nice, the open kitchen with the wood fire hearth right at the entrance added a warm cozy feel from the onset. The restaurant was warmly lit but not dark. We were seated immediately in the far left dining area in an elevated booth. After reviewing the menu we settled on the fried deviled eggs and wood fire oysters for starters and the Vincent Vega pizza for dinner. Fried deviled eggs was a first for us and it was so good! The egg white was breaded very lightly and fried and the egg yolk was piped on top with a piece of smoky delicious bacon goodness. It had a nice smoky, bacon-y taste and we devoured them. I only wish you got more than 2 pieces. I think 4 pieces would be better for the price considering it's essentially one egg but I'm not complaining. The wood fire oysters was another hit for us, the serving came with 6 half shell oysters topped with breadcrumbs (light), swimming in butter and fire roasted. I think we ate these even faster than the deviled eggs lol! Would definitely get these again. The pizza also did not disappoint. If you like bacon, mushrooms and creamy Boursin cheese, you'll love this pizza. We added crushed red pepper flakes which added a nice kick. The crust is the star of the show; thin, crispy but still has body and slightly chewy. Yum! That wood fire hearth definitely makes a difference. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back! The staff were also very nice and friendly.

The pickled garlic was an excellent addition to the board and the elk salami was fantastic. I had the steak sammy, which was a Sunday Special. It should be on the menu all the time. It was excellent. My son had the steak sammy (like father like son) and his wife had the half chicken. It was all spectacular. So very good. For dessert we shared the cheesecake and the tiramisu bread pudding between the four of us. Everyone was happy. The portions were large so to go boxes were had by all. Special shoutout to Reagan our server. She was exceptional. Made the right recommendations on all things. Timed our orders perfectly and we had just an amazing time Thank you Hearth Wood Fired Cuisine and thank you Reagan for making my Father's day. We ordered a Diners burger, Virginia burger, and house wings. The Burgers were borderline inedible due to the huge amount of salt. If i had been dining in I would have sent it back. I would not feed that much salted meat to my dog. The burgers dampness also had literally demolished the lower bun and iceberg lettuce. So i had to disgard those sodding blobs. The Virginian burger also salty, and the crab cake, small and underwhelming. The Chicken wings tasteless and dry. On too of this i had no choice but to pay a 10% tip for "take out prepare ". I don't necessarily blame the restaurant for that since people are constantly coming and going through both the front door and patio, but it did affect the experience. We didn't try the beer wall this time. We came primarily for the food, and I'm glad we did. We both ordered the Angry Chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. It had great flavor, a good level of spice, and was absolutely massive. For $19, though, it better be big! Honestly, I almost wish they offered a smaller version with just one chicken patty at a lower price. The sandwich has so many great elements, but it's almost too much food. I'd happily order a smaller version. Our server was friendly, but he was clearly spread pretty thin. It took a while to get drink refills and our check. Overall, there were a few things that could have been better, but I'd definitely come back for that chicken sandwich.

I really enjoyed each of the dish and all the beers that are on a tap is the highlight of the restaurant. There are two long tables in the middle for larger groups. The crispy apple jack chicken has all the ingredients for a delicious sandwich. But I would replace the 3 chicken tenders for a large chunk of chicken breast. That would make the sandwich perfect. The decor wasn't over the top , it was just the right amount of decorations to add pizzazz and celebrate with festive spirit. We all had a very enjoyable time celebrating Galentine's day! It was a wonderful event in an equally wonderful space. The music was on point, as well as the volume level. It was loud enough to enjoy the music, yet low enough that you could hold a conversation without screaming to hear each other. It was very peaceful and even if you don't choose a booth, the tables on the opposite side of the bar do provide some privacy due to the small partitions. It's on the 23rd floor of the Marriott as soon as I arrived I saw that they offer valet parking so I opted into doing that. Then I was instructed to go to 23rd floor to enter the rooftop. Luckily we made a reservation because Orion's roof is known for always being busy and you might have a long wait. However once you met with the hostess, she took us to our table. We sat towards the back of the restaurant with the view of the oceanfront, which is gorgeous. They also have seating on the actual like outside rooftop where they have fire pits, and you can overlook the ocean as well as the city. However, as soon as we sat down, our waitress came over she explained the menu it is a Asian cuisine restaurant so they were out a lot of Asian cuisine options she also gave us a drink menu and she needs suggestions. I forget what type of drinks that I got, but they were delicious. I believe the first one was a pomegranate martini. The second drink was another pomegranate martini and the third drink was espresso martini. Once my friend arrived we decided to order appetizers. The first appetizer I ordered was the oysters which were fresh oysters with lemon, hot sauce, vinegar, horseradish, any type of topping that you would like my friend ordered their muscles, which came in this really good brown broth with bao buns. The broth was so delicious. He had to drink it like soup. Once all the muscles were gone. The muscles were cooked to perfection very well seasoned very well cooked not chewy just very delectable the oysters or chefs kiss they were very, very delicious flavorful and cooked to the right temperature. Next, we ordered our entrées. I ordered the Bronzino fish that came came with rice and a vegetable my friend ordered I think the Atlantic cod which also came with vegetables and rice. We did not order dessert, but we did order a espresso martini. The espresso martini was great. We asked for Baileys to make it a little more smoother and sweet, and it was also recommendation from our waitress. The ambience was to die for from the views the music playing in the background the upbeat waitresses and waiters are moving around the restaurant. It was very like high class and fancy restaurant so that was that was really nice. Overall, it was a great experience. I really enjoyed it. I wish I would've known about this rooftop earlier in my space at the Hilton oceanfront but I definitely will return. I suggest if you were in the area and you want to try rooftop and you wanna have like a little classy evening or good dinner that's not typically just seafood. I suggest trying out this roof top. You will not be disappointed. Cheers.

Everything else would have to be pretty bad to overshadow it. Fortunately, the food complements the view. It was excellent. I had the branzino, which was delicious, and my wife had the short ribs, which were excellent as well. But I think that's where "excellent" and above ends. Our waitress was good and provided solid service, but I think the service overall could--and should--be better. The real letdown was the reservation process. We were a group of six and had reservations. When we arrived, we waited about 10-15 minutes before being directed to the sushi bar. Who makes reservations for six people at a sushi bar? That shouldn't even be an option for a party of six. To their credit, the waitstaff pulled together a section for us in the bar area after another 15-20 minute wait. Unfortunately, it was an awkward setup for six people trying to converse and have a good time. We asked if we could be moved to the empty section next to us, but were told those tables were reserved for parties of two. No problem--that sounds plausible. The problem is, those tables stayed empty for the entirety of our visit. The drinks were average as well. Anytime I order an Old Fashioned and it comes with regular ice cubes instead of one large cube, I already know what's coming. The ice melts too quickly and waters the drink down. Orion's Roof could--and should--be an easy five-star dining experience, but it falls short. The good news is that most of the issues holding it back seem relatively easy to fix.
