We are in for a work conference, so we spotted this place near our hotel. Really fun alien intergalactic theme pizza place with quality fresh ingredients on their pizza and an amazing happy hour with frozen slushie adult beverages. I order the margarita to accompany my mini personal pizza. I was fully prepared to eat half of my pizza and save it for later. Nope! Are that beast like it was my last meal. Super delicious pizza! Our food order came out fast with a server who was extremely friendly. What a chill place to have a casual dinner. Totally recommend this cool beachside spot. read more

I really wish we could give half stars or rate out of 10 because this one should really be in-between 3 and 4. When you walk in, the savory smell of pizza will hit you immediately. This restaurant is alien/UFO themed and while as an adult it felt a little gimmicky I'm sure kids love that. The food was cheap, particularly the $6.99 8' cheese pizza. It was of decent quality but nothing to write home about. The slushes we got during happy hour were tasty as well and I really enjoyed how portable they were so we could take them back to our hotel room. The staff was very friendly!! read more

Planet Pizza - 8' pepperoni pizza - Pizza Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Planet Pizza is a fun casual pizzeria in Virginia Beach. You order at the counter and then they bring the pizza to your table. The staff was very friendly and helped me choose a beer to go with the pizza. I loved the Mediterranean pizza with vegetables and feta cheese. The veggies and fresh garlic tasted very fresh. It paired well with the IPA beer. The booths were spacious and comfortable and the decor is very unique. read more

Planet pizza is fun little alien atmosphere. If you have younger kids it's sure to be a hit. Service was quick which I appreciated. The Mediterranean salad was better than I expected. The feta slices were very well portioned on the salad. The pizza itself was nothing to brag about. I would say go for the atmosphere and just the know the pizza will fill you up just 3/5 for me. read more

Every time we come to VA beach we stop by planet pizza. This time we received a complimentary photo and additional photos taken for purchase. We ordered Parmesan garlic wings that were loaded with Parmesan garlic. We also got a 14 inch half pepperoni and cheese pizza cut twice for smaller slices. For how busy it was the food came out quickly. The restaurant had air conditioning and is decorated with alien decor from the ceiling to the walls. It is very creative and my kids love coming here just for the vibe! Definitely add this to your list especially if you have kids. It's a very cool pizza parlor. read more

Visited during spring break! The food was hot and fresh and out so quickly! The cashier was super nice and so were the waitresses! Our kids loved the aliens all around and the views of the strip as we ate. We had pizza and were the first to order chili cheese fries! They were amazing! read more

Visited here on vacation. I'd give the inside a 10/10. The alien decorations are DOPE! & they play good music which is always a plus. Most of the staff were friendly & welcoming. Now on to the food ... It came out hot (literally steaming). I do like the different pizza sizes, they range from "mini to xl". The pizza was "good". It wasn't nasty at all but it didnt quite have that distinct taste to it. Tasty for sure! I cleaned my plate lol I had "The Works". My husband had one as well with hot wings on the side. My sister had buffalo chicken pizza. If you need an estimate of the pricing, we ordered 3 minis, hot wings, and 2 alcoholic drinks (cocktails w/vodka in a can) & we paid about $76. I went back & ordered a side of fries & a small drink & paid about $11. Side note: Idk if this was an everyday thing but there was a guy there taking snapshots. He was with "Hollywood Pictures". He took a couple shots of us & came back with some beautiful prints & charged us $65 +tax for 6 prints. So be prepared to put on your best smile! With all that said, I'd dine here again! read more

Visited Pizza Planet while on vacation and I was surprised. From the outside it doesn't look like much. But inside, it was fun! Especially for the kids and anyone that is into aliens! The food was good and all priced very reasonably. Everyone that we talked to there was all very nice. I would definitely recommend to people to go try!!! read more

My family and I came here on July 4th to get pizza for lunch to enjoy at the beach. The young lady that rung me up was extremely kind and ensured she had my order correct. She was smiling and assisting others with questions as well. The manager who was also ringing up some customers didn't seem as friendly as she was so I am glad they had such a shining star in this establishment. I ordered the mozzarella sticks as well as a large pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese and has a mini bottle of wine while I waited. Even though they had a packed house the food was ready quickly and accurately. Finally, the most important part it tasted amazing! Any time we are near we will definitely be back! read more

food was amazing, came out quick. service was good the lady at the counter was very nice. the ambiance was nice aswell it felt very calm.

We showed up pretty late, less than an hour before closing, and the servers were both super friendly and helpful. We got a Greek salad that was LOADED with olives and other good stuff, and a veggie pizza that was delicious. The crust was chewy and not too thick. We had to get ours without cheese because they didn't offer a plant-based version, but no points off for that. The alien theme to the decor was kind of random, but fun. Seating was weird and a little uncomfortable; that's the only real minus. We would absolutely go back read more

This is one of those places that the whole family can eat, even us who are gluten free! They had great service and excellent pizza!

I'm gonna be honest, we judged this place by its cover, but it blew us away! Walking in, we thought we'd found a tourist trap that might have some decent pizza with a fun atmosphere, but not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but the pizza was some of the best we've had! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

This is a themed restaurant that is located off of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. It is on Atlantic avenue. It has a space them/alien theme and is decorated with neat alien stuff all over the restaurant. You will see large alien murals inside and outside of the place. They have a huge indoor dining area and out patio seating on the sidewalk. It is a pretty neat place and my littles would have loved it. There is metered street parking and a few commercial lots and garages within walking distance that you can park at to visit here. The meters cost about $2/ hour and the lots vary in price depending on what is going on and the season. They have subs, salads wings and of course pizza. I ordered a BLT sub with a side of fries. The sub came with some chips. It took about 7 minutes or so for me to get my food. It was ok. Pretty much a standard average sub. What made my experience better was the staff. They were amazing, so very friendly. They went to each table to check on how everything was. I can not stress how nice they were. They bring your food to your table after you order it and then they clean your table after you leave. You just get up and go. The food here is a bit pricer than other similar places, but you are on the beach and you do get a ton of food. This is a fun family restaurant that beach goers can visit, especially with the little ones. read more

Updating my previous review since I just ordered from there recently. My pizza was ordered with extra cheese, and I don't think I needed to get that much, but it was still good. They were quick to prepare the three pizzas and the mozzarella sticks I ordered, so the service was fast. It was quite empty, but it was a Sunday late afternoon after the marathon had completed, so that is what I will assume the reasoning is. I enjoyed my pizza and my wife enjoyed hers. There are several pizza places along the oceanfront, but this is definitely one to stop at. read more

Great service and a great pizza. Love the family atmosphere. Good for after a swim or after a day catching waves.

I come here often, whoever was working the to go line on 8/7 was very short and near rude not just me but other people I watched her serve. And to make matters worse I waited 15 minutes for an order that was ready due to her negligence and attitude. read more

Planet Pizza - Mini Cheese Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

I ordered a gluten free (GF) crust w/ 4 toppings (double toppings of beef & single toppings mushrooms and black olives). I paid $15.99 (before tax). It's important to mention that GF crusts only come in the smallest size pie (about 8-10" diameter). So I expect that, at a minimum, if I have to pay so much for such a small sized pizza, the least they can do is prepare it properly. They didn't. The crust was dry, hard, and brittle...like a salad crouton. I have only eaten GF crusts for 3 years now. I even make them myself occasionally. So I know they are usually soft and carry a little moisture when prepared right. And they skimped me a lot on the toppings. I walked there in the nearly cold from my hotel at night after flying all day and this was my first meal. This is unacceptable, especially for a business that asks for tips on the receipt as soon as you pay, which I think has become a disgusting habit of most businesses. I have no problem with tipping. But I have a very serious problem that customers are now expected to tip BEFORE the service has completed and we've had a chance to determine if a tip is deserved. See picture below and look at how poorly they prepare my pizza. I do not recommend, unless you have a thing for eating overpriced cardboard with almost no toppings. I've had better pizza in my middle school lunch room. read more

Very good pizza with very reasonable prices. Inside and outside seating. It's August and the inside was freezing cold. AC was on full blast. We sat outside in the shade. You pay for food at time of order and they bring food to you. They have other food items also. Beer, soda, water, chicken, subs, etc. Pizza wasnt greasy and the sauce was light and full of tomatoes. Good place to eat and have good pizza. read more

Really good pizza. Very fresh. Expensive for sure. ( totally understanding inflation and food prices) but I think they were already pricey before hand. The no refills is a joke. $2.99 for large plastic cup with ice filled to the top and no refills is crazy. Then if you want a bottle soda it's also $2.99. $69 dollars for one large pizza, a small pizza and kids macaroni and three cokes with no refills and a bottle of water. Service was quick. Bathrooms were horrific. Praying it was water all over the floor. Toilet paper everywhere and super super smelly. Seems like no one is doing restroom clean ups and checks on it periodically. That could help. read more

Went for lunch...wasn't sure what to expect but we have seen people all week eating there. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and a large caesar salad. The salad was plenty for 2. It hit the mark. The medium pizza was perfect for 2. Could gave easily taken leftovers home but we liked it too much. Crust was meedium to thin based. No fountain machines; only 20 ounce sodas and water or beer. Reaonably priced for the pizza and a great price for the salad. Friendly service. They bring your food to the table. read more

So we stopped in here thinking we would just get a pizza and run back to the hotel. When we saw they had alcohol we decided to have the meal there. We ordered the Long Island iced tea and when they came out they were in huge margarita glasses...score. We we got 2 of the Iced Teas but they came out different colors. One was a lot sweeter than the other. Not sure if they had someone make them by hand and had a little heavier pot on one over the other. But they got the job done. We ordered a pizza half cheese and half sausage. It was the quickest pizza I ever saw cooked. Not sure what they do to get it out so fast. But thank you. Probably when it is real busy they just want to rotate people in and out quick. Pizza was good not great. Drinks were good. Atmosphere staff were nice. Place was clean. So I would definitely return. read more
