Another cool, local spot with plenty of space to enjoy several levels of activities. We usually come here for our staff hangs, as it's great for the later hours. Service is attentive and friendly, food is decent, and the wing sauces are great. I would say their flavoring is on the stronger side (I personally like it), but my wife and kids felt it was a little too spicy. You can decide for yourself, but it was noticeable on this particular night. Sometimes it can be loud, so check for their karaoke nights, but it does bring another option to the table. Chicho's food is great. Issue here is Karaoke on Saturdays. Been here a couple of times for karaoke. Tonight arrived early. Signed up at 9pm. Sung once. Multiple people including bar staff sang multiple times before we could sing again. I don't appreciate favorites getting head of the line. Spent well over $14 0 to sing once. The service was awful. the food didn't come out together. The drinks were wrong. It took forever to get waited on. we didn't have silverware. Once we received it some bags had 2 knives no fork. We had a party of 6 and they automatically added tip, we were charged for items that weren't ours, had to go to the bar to get lemons and desert menu. Love chichos. This is a great location to hang out at. It's in strawbridge near the movie theatre so there's a ton of parking, which is great. Our fav pizza is the cho-filet. Greatest pizza ever. Everything we get is great and they have a great selection of beers and what not. We also like to play pool there and partake in trivia when they have it. It's just a fun, chill place. I don't like to be the one to leave a bad review but it has to be said. The "Nashville Hot chicken sandwich" was quite literally the WORST chicken sandwich I have ever had, no exaggeration. It was so extremely dry, it was the texture of jerky, could barely even bite it. I ordered it fried and it came looking like it was grilled, little to no breading, NO sauce. Fried were soggy and brown??? Pizza is usually decent but this was the worst experience I've had with Chichos Strawbridge. I placed a late night order online for a one-topping large pizza. The pizza was ready when we arrived for pickup and piping hot. It looked really delicious. The bottom part of the box was caving and looked soggy by the time we arrived home to eat it. Let me remind you that we live less than 10 minutes away! It was a bit unfortunate that I found the actual pizzas rather salty and greasy. Perhaps the next time around, I'll try and order something else or eat it earlier on during the day. This is not their original location but this is where they are now. That is how many years we have been eating here. This is our go to spot before a movie. We have always had great service. The food has not been consistent over the years. But in their defense we have really come along time. If I was going to rate them on our last visit they would get a 5 star for sure. OH YEAH so more important than what I said first... there were managers and various others walking around without masks. I kept mine on the whole time except when I took a sip of my drink. Obviously that rule is loose, unlike how they make their bartenders do a three-count when they pour, not a four-count. This is just a management choice. I cannot believe I have been in Virginia Beach for almost 25 years and have never tried Chichos! I know the one at the Ocean Front has been around long before then, but it just seems I never made it. Recently my wife had mentioned it had been a long time since she had been to one so I figure I might as well give it a try. That was about 3 weeks ago and today was my third visit. I really love the Pizza here. The Spicy sauce is a nice change from the normal everyday mediocre pizza everyone seems to have these days. So it really is good and a nice change of pace. Reminds me of Pizza from the 80's always better than what we have today! If you are on the fence not sure if you want to give it a try I say get it while you can! I was happy to see after closing the original Strawbridge location about 5 or 6 years ago that Chicho's decided to take advantage of the empty Atlas Diner facility next to the movie theater and open a newer, larger and cough cough more respectable location in this shopping center. My brother and I finally had chance to check this location out and I just can't get over it. I'm used to my Cho's being a hole in the wall at the oceanfront or even the old location at the other end of this shopping center but now... Wow. It's like Chicho's has grown up and gotten all respectable and such. I kid. This is a great location. The bar is separate from the dining room so families can easily eat here while the potentially rowdier crowd is separated from them. It was already late when we arrived so we grabbed a booth in the bar and a server immediately took our order. I was happy to see that Cho's is still serving Purple Haze. It wasn't on tap like the old days but they did have can's, which was good enough. Our pie was hot and fresh and frankly in no time at all it was gone. Everything was perfect, the dough was fresh, the spicy sauce on point and the pepperoni was good as well. I'm looking forward to coming back soon. read more

Consistent food quality problem lies with inconsistent service tonight with five of us dining meal started out well; but my son 's cheese steak was "mistaking" given to another table we were assured the replacement was on the way.... Fast forward 30 minutes the table is done eating and we not only haven't heard from our server but when we flag them down it is restated almost done meaning they never started it or gave that one away... asked to have it removed from the bill with no follow up from the manager on duty and no apology! I think when you go to Chichos you should stick to pizza, but their wings are good too. Ordered the crab dip appetizer and it was just edible. Served with overly salted tortilla chips. The consistency was lumpy and the flavor wasn't good. The kids ate it because they were hungry. My son ordered hot wings and requested medium heat. They were so hot he couldn't eat them. They were very well made. Very crispy. I love hot food and I thought they were extremely hot and delicious. I had the waitress box them up and I took them home and ordered my son the mild wings. The mild wings had no heat at all so he was disappointed. They went from no heat mild to very very hot and spicy medium. Like I said, I love spicy food (I eat scorpion peppers and I'm usually disappointed because food isn't usually hot enough for me)I'd hate to see what their fire wings taste like...they would probably burn your face off... I am curious so may order a small order to see. The rest of us ordered pizza and it was delicious. My daughter had the margarita pizza and she loved it. My husband had pepperoni. I ordered a slice with jalapeños and onions. Would have preferred fresh jalapeños over the ones from a jar that they serve. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. It's been a while since I have been to Chichos, but my mom had some visitors from up north down for the weekend, and decided to go here for dinner after trick or treating ended on Halloween. The last time I was to a Chicos was when they had the small storefront for take out years ago. This place is located where Atlas used to be, which is near the movie theater. When you come in, the place looks very nice. Once you come in the first set of doors, the door to the bar is to the right. Keep going straight to the next set of doors to get to the main dining room. This place can handle large crowds, including events, and there is a game area at the back of the main dining area for the kids to play if they wanted to. We came in after trick or treating time on Halloween. That was likely why it was a fairly quiet night. Once we got seated, it took a little bit for the server to come to the table, which was a bit surprising since the place was not busy. Once the server came over, things went smoothly thereafter. Everyone had water to drink, so that was pretty easy. The pizza I had chosen was the White Pizza, substituting tomatoes with pepperoni. This pizza was very good, and definitely one of the better pizzas I have had. It was made and cooked perfectly. This would be a pizza I get again. They also did the substitution at no additional charge, which was also great. Overall, this was a great experience, including the food. This place is really large, it would be a great place for a birthday party! So first time here on a Saturday night, its 9pm apparently this is a locals night spot, live music, out door seating, little arcade, and a whole lot of TVs. What a relaxing environment, I mean a place where I can take the kids, and theres enough going on around to keep them stimulated so they aren't driving me crazy, that's relaxing to me! They do pizza by the slice priced by the topping. We are getting a large 8 slice ALL THE WAY. And a small personal for my son pepperoni. My son ate his whole pizza which is suprising it was large for a child. And our pizza was fabulous. The toppings are baked in not on top, so you didnt have to worry about it falling apart. But it wasnt overloaded with cheese either like someplaces that try to bake their toppings in... this was made with just enough of each ingredient without being over whelming. 4 happy customers. I begged off going here when a friend who lives nearby suggested it and agreed to go to Red Robin instead. When we got to RR it was a 30 minute wait (with tons of open tables- typical) and so off to Chicho's we went. The scene was pretty dire. Most of the staff look a little worse for the wear. Think biker bar in Daytona Beach. If someone had told me they filmed the bar scenes from "Monster" here and I would have been none the wiser. Server told us what they had on tap (like 3 things because you know... "the tap broke" or whatever excuse) and brought a newly hired hand to help. I got a milk stout and it's like ordering a root beer and a cream soda comes out. Obviously it was not a milk stout but she insisted it was. Boy was it bitter and awful and- a double IPA. I opted to skip the drinks. Taco night Wednesday and the tacos are ok. Better than Taco Bell and cheaper but exactly like mom used to make if your mom is a white chick (like mine) so nothing exciting or authentic there. We also got pizza and that sucked. It sucked so bad the cook remade it and sent it out again without us asking. That sucked too. The garlic knots were dry. The spicy pizza sauce was like tomato paste and too much red pepper sprinkled in. If you're looking for a dive bar in the area, that's probably a good reason to drop in. If you are looking for a decent piece of pizza or decent food in general, skip this place and keep looking elsewhere. read more

How about Sunday karaoke night? When you show up to grab a few drinks and a party bus pulls in so people can party, you're bound to be in the presence of a good time. A great time... The people from the party bus gave life to the evening. It would have been just fine without them but when a squad full of dudes show up to sing Boyz II Men "End of the Road" and the entire places sings along, things get exciting. I ordered from this pizza place through an app called GrubHub at 7:49pm and set my delivery time for 9:30pm that same night, which was the latest time I was given for that restaurant. And with the restaurant literally being about a half-mile away from my job, I figured that would give them plenty of time to deliver since they closed at 1:00am that night. Mind you, I have never once had an issue with ordering through GrubHub - and I order a lot of food through this app, given the job I have. I got my confirmation from GrubHub stating the delivery time would be around 9:45-10:15pm. Great! Well, 11:00pm rolls around and I still have no pizza, nor did anyone call me to tell me my food would be late. So I called the restaurant. A man picks up and I asked him where my pizza was. He goes on to tell me that he tried delivering it to my apartment but that no one was home. When I told him that I worked for the police department, that there were no apartments for a three block radius from my job, and that the lobby is open until 11:30pm, he panicked and forwarded me to his manager. She then answered the phone and told me she never received an order for my location...yet the last guy told me he tried to deliver to my "apartment." So I asked her if she could have some one bring me my pizza since they close at 1:00am. She told me that they no longer deliver at that time of night. A bit sketchy if you ask me. So I gave up and told them I would not be ordering from their company again. I get a call from my co-workers the NEXT DAY and they told me the pizza guy was trying to deliver me a pizza at 5:30pm. He said he had just received my order. I set my delivery time for 9:30pm the night before...how the hell did my order "just come in" at 5:30pm? Especially when I work 8:30pm to 7am and ordered for a delivery time of 9:30pm the night before? Thankfully, my co-workers all knew about the fiasco the night before and they turned the driver away. Four stars for the food, our pizza and wings were great. 1 star for facility and service. Don't go here for Sunday football. They promote their Sunday ticket and game watching. Beware of they have tiny TVs and they all have the same game, took an entire quarter of our game to get the channel changed.
