A yelp Elite friend of mine recommended Anna's. So anytime an elite recommends an elite to try a place that's just what you do! Called and placed an order over the phone for pickup. I decided to do salad and figured I would get a garlic knot when I got there. I was greeted right away. I asked if I can get a garlic knot I was told they sell them in half dozen. I really did not need a half dozen garlic knots, the guy said why don't you just get a slice of cheese pizza? I have it ready so glad he recommended that the cheese pizza is very good. One of the best I've had since I've been here I definitely will be going back there for pizza the salad was large enough for two or three people. The restaurant is small but cute. The only thing that upset me was after I was paying for my order some woman came rushing in and started yelling her order while I was still trying to talk to the gentleman so much so I turned around and asked her. Thanks to the landmark review of another, this was an easy find, it is in a strip mall location, very near to Ollie's and just before Captain George's. Many thanks. This quaint restaurant is very clean, that is really appreciated. We were greeted by the owner, a young man named Shazam, who told us to sit anywhere. There was only 1 other patron on this weekday visit. He handed us the menus, and we looked through, I decided on the lunch special of 2 slices of either cheese or pepperoni pizza, drink included for $8. Now that's a deal! My husband chose the Philly Steak sub, loaded with peppers, onions, mozzarella and ketchup, and mustard .$13.99. They only do 12" subs, no halves. .The roll was fresh and crisped perfectly in their typical pizza oven. The brand of ketchup they used gave it a nice zing, a good complement on the sub. My 2 slices were thin crust, and they were warmed in the same oven, no microwave. I added hot peppers and oregano. The first bite came across as a bit salty but not overbearing. The sauce was really good, not sweet, just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. The outside was as moist as the center of the pizza. Specials (daily and weekly) were hand written on a huge chalkboard to the left as you enter. The music is a very relaxing guitar recording, very soothing and pleasant, the volume was just right. There is plenty of free parking. This business would be a huge success if closer to the boardwalk, but prices would have to increase dramatically. Maybe a second store there would expand it. Wanted pizza, but didn't wanna go out and get it. So, I looked for a nice place that delivers. I found this place had good reviews and decided to give it a try seeing as I hadn't ordered from here yet. I asked for "well-done" in the comments of the order, and in my opinion it wasn't as much as I would like it. It was kinda just cooked to normal. As for the crust, it was thin, but it wasn't crispy, it was droopy even (as pictured). Cheese was good quality, nice flavor. Sauce was a normal amount, but kinda bland. As for the crust part, it was supposed to be garlic flavored, but it didn't really have any trace of that. As for grease, it had a pretty standard amount. When we got the pizza it also was room temp, and it's only a 10 minute drive at most, do with that what you will. Now, for the totals, it was about a $20 pizza with the additions, $7 for the delivery fee, and with taxes around $30. Not too bad, but I've had better for the same amount, not including tip. Will keep the search going for the best slice of pizza in the area. read more

This place is walkable from home, so we walk here from time to time. I've had several items from their menu (all yummy), but I always go back to their pizza. It's delicious! If you eat in, they have Connect Four on the table which helps pass the time, and their appetizer bread with oil is superb. The only complaint - please bring back the honey cake! read more

I did not experience an in-store order; I had it delivered, so I cannot speak about ambiance. I go to a gym near Anna's and wanted to try it for some time now. Tonight, I decided to try it AND WOW! I ordered a garden salad, penne alla vodka pasta, and I splurged and added a slice of cheese cake. Everything was absolutely delicious. The salad was abundant with cut up tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, onions, pepperoncinis, and of course lettuce. Penne alla Vodka with chicken was flavorful and piping hot when it arrived. And last but not least, the decedent slice of cheesecake-wow! Absolutely delicious. I am only disappointed in the fact that I have not eaten / ordered from there until now. Ordered chicken Marsala. The meat was pounded so thin and overcooked. The fettuccine was hard, cold and lacking anything authentic about the recipe. Where were the mushrooms and Marsala sauce? This place has consistently impressed me. We have started going more whenever we want pizza. But it will want just the pizza that is phenomenal, the pasta dishes are also amazing. Wanted pizza from somewhere we haven't tried before and thankfully found Anna's Kitchen. Awesome little restaurant located near Yukai Buffet in Laskin. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice and intimate it was inside. Appetizer was mozzarella sticks and we shared a white pizza as an entree. Wanted some extra protein so we added crispy chicken on top, and it was amazing! Tons of specials offered and plenty of pizza options to go around. Service was great as well. Located in the hilltop shopping center, Anna's is one of our favorite stops for pizza when visiting VB. They have daily specials ($1 slices until 4 pm) as well whole pie specials. You can't beat a 14" cheese pizza for $6.99 (Mon-Wed.) Also, pizza and wings specials. We ordered Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas. It has been awhile since I have been here and there were a few changes. We went for lunch. There was only 1 employee.....he cooked, served, answered phones, handled take out....he did everything. He did a great job. One change was there is no wine or beer anymore. Last time my friend got and loved the eggplant parmesan but I didn't see it on the menu. That might be temporary. I got the Ziti a la Vodka which I thought was delicious. Big portion. Creamy. We did get bread which had a nice presentation and was hot and yummy. :) My friend got the Philly Cheesesteak. I have been singing the praises of Anna's kitchen ever since we stumbled upon this little hidden gem. Our first visit was for a sit down dinner. Oh my God the bread. The pasta was so good, the side salad was huge, and I loved the calzone. Don't forget the tiramisu! The second and third time we ordered we got several pizzas and wings to go. I was out shopping w a friend today and she mentioned a couple of places. Then mentioned Anna's for pizza and salad. She has been there a couple of times and said how fresh the salad was and how good the pizza is. We both ordered a slice of pizza w pepperoni and onions and a garden salad. As I walked down to the very clean restroom I saw him chopping up the lettuce, tomato, and cucumbers. The salad was delivered first. We heard many good things and, being from NY needed to try their NY Pizza. Maybe it was an off day? Maybe it was the cook didn't get the sauce right and added way too many Italian seasonings. I really liked the crust. We also ordered the beef lasagna. We saw it go in and out of the microwave... topped with lots more seasonings. Was getting paint next door and decided to try this spot for lunch. Walking in it was dim quiet nice acoustical music playing and the place was well cleaned and nicely decorated in its own way. Just was very relaxing and I quite enjoyed it over a loud restaurant. The people taking my order were pretty nice and the food I ordered happened to be a lunch special they had until 3pm. 2 slices of pizza and a drink for 8 dollars. Was just the right amount for me and the pizza was very delicious. I would certainly stop by here again if I was in the area, no doubt. read more

We had lunch here a few months ago when we were in the area and were so impressed, both with the staff (who doesn't love a small locally owned restaurant) and the food. So impressed, that we decided to drive WAY out of our neighborhood on purpose to try them on a a Saturday night for dinner. Both times we were here the owners were in house and going around to tables to make sure everyone was happy. You have to love that kind of dedication. But let's face it - dedication doesn't mean much if the food is not up to par. Here - the food IS! The bread that comes with your entree is fantastic. Warm from the oven, soft on the inside with a good crust, they serve it with olive oil and balsamic to dip. What's not to love? For appetizers we went with the caprese and mozzarella sticks for the kid. I order caprese at every Italian place that has it available, and this was HANDS DOWN the best I have had. At other places, I have to add something - seasoning, balsamic, etc. Not here - it was perfect! And the mozzarella sticks were FILLED with cheese. You know how some places serve them and they are really nothing more than an empty shell of breading? Not here! Hubby's Caesar salad came with packaged dressing (which was a little disappointing because I bet the chef here could do better making his own), but was fresh and satisfying. Hubby got the pasta dish with chicken and broccoli as an entree. One would think that it would come with a heavy cream sauce, but it was not. Just enough to be creamy, but not heavy. How do they do that? The kid has his usual spaghetti with meat sauce on the side. The sauce was full of meat and had the perfect balance of sweet tomatoes and savory meat. I had the stuffed shells - perfection! 4 beautifully stuffed shells. It was almost too much, but I couldn't stop eating them, it was that good. We will DEFINITELY be back even though it is a hike from our house. It is such a pleasure to see a locally owned, small restaurant with high quality food! If you are in the area, GO. We're visiting from the NY/NJ area. The pizza was awful, worse than I could've imagined. Think bowling alley quality. The sauce was terrible, the cheese congealed and gummy. The wings were overcooked and dry. The kids gave 2 thumbs down to the spaghetti, though they did like the meatballs. The chicken parm was marginal at best. Overall, considering the solid reviews, it was very disappointing. If you're from the northeast, I would rate this a solid avoid. The Uber Eats drivers were great though! read more

Ordered a two topping 16 inch pizza with pepperoni and fresh garlic along with the bread stick pizza. Pepperoni/fresh garlic pizza had raw chunks of uncooked garlic which made the pizza unpleasant to bite into, as each bite included multiple chunks of crunchy garlic. The garlic flavor was extremely overwhelming and made the pizza difficult to enjoy. We would've preferred cooked, soft garlic with less garlic throughout the pizza. The breadstick pizza, on the other hand, was wonderful! Not too greasy and the flavor was excellent! Great service at the location as well. read more

According to them they don't have any delivery vehicles they're using third party delivery, so you don't save anything. False marketing or old website info? I ordered delivery tonight. Everything was packaged very nicely. I ordered a side of meat balls and ziti ala vodka. They also gave a side of fresh seasoned baked bread which i thought was the best out of everything. I finished the ziti. A little bland was it was good however i wasnt a fan of their meatballs but being Italian from the north east I'm a meatball snob. Only ate one out of 3. Overall the food was decent. The Philly Cheesesteak Sub is one of the best I've ever had. If you use their App you have more choices for add ons. I order it with the Italian Herb bread and add Mozzarella cheese and mushrooms. Ordered it twice in the same month to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It's that good. read more

We used Grubhub to order and deliver our dinner last night.. that experience was great, however, the "spicy" chicken Alfredo had a very small amount of chicken and had no spice. The Ziti with sausage was odd since the sausage was actually a hot dog and there were bread crumbs in the ziti instead of ricotta cheese. Weird.. the chicken parm was the best out of the three.
