Pizzas were tasty! They have lunch specials where you choose slices from the display, so we got the tomato mozzarella basil, cheese, and mushroom and sausage. I got the pear salad as well. Everything tasted fresh and tasty. There's a little seating inside and outside has the ocean view. There's a restroom inside (that could use some scrubbing). Service was nice. They don't have a separate line for online orders so if you've ordered ahead, you have to wait in line with everyone else that's still deciding what they want. We've been fans of zpizza for approximately five years now, and used to prioritize our monthly pizza treat ourselves night by ordering our favorite pie from another location (which has since closed). Yesterday we decided to treat ourselves for the first time since the pandemic started. First visit to this location. Clean and bright with friendly employees who tried hard - mostly - until our pie was ready, boxed, and then ... just didn't bother to mention it for ten to fifteen minutes. ? The flavors I remember are still there: fresh toppings, a sweet sauce, and no grease with the added pepperoni, which is always a plus. However, it seems as though there were fewer quantities of said toppings *and* a lighter application of sauce. Hm. Plenty of cheese, though. What really bothers me is the cost. I know, I know: geography and supply chain are responsible for that and the costs are passed on to the consumer, yadda yadda. But come on - almost $27 for a large pie comprised of two vegetables over the entirety and meat on only half? That seems high to me. Crust, tomato sauce, and regular cheese were all "free" options. I guess the size is what costs $17? Meat on half is $1.25 (reasonable!). Common vegetables are $4.20 *each*. Ouch. Now, if you're still hungry after this and thinking I'm just some crabby old person who likes to complain, consider this: ordering the same configuration online costs you $2.25 for the meat as well as each topping. Why am I penalized for ordering in-store? In store: $26.65 before tax and tip. Online: $23. Sure, it's less than $3 for this configuration and size but a *THIRTEEN POINT FIVE PERCENT MARKUP FOR ORDERING IN PERSON AT THE STORE* should give you pause. Naturally they manage to get away with this nonsense by saying each store is individually owned and operated, thereby setting their own prices blah blah. I don't have to like it? True. I can take my business elsewhere? Also true. Will do. In this economic climate, it's a shame; we honestly enjoyed the product. Greed and inconsistency leave a bad aftertaste. read more

Also the pricing and sizes are a bit odd, a small pizza is $12.95 while a large is $20.95? There is no medium sized pizza so you're forced to pick between a small/ personal size or spending almost double for a large pizza??? I will say the pepperoni's on the pizza were great and it being made in a brick oven that you can see is so nice, but if you can, I'd skip this place and go to another. I've been here a handful of times over the years and I guess they get bonus points for consistency, but what they've maintained is an impressive degree of mediocrity. How do you stay in business this long in this area with such boring food? Answer: People who don't know better and can afford to pay the sticker. I will pay double for something that I actually enjoy. The only reason I ever come here is because of other people. You have so many options in this plaza. Why would you eat here? Is it bad? No. Is it good? God no. Is it safe? Yes. And that's probably why people come here. Modo Mio, Javier's, and Bluefin aren't as universal as meat and cheese on dough. (Bear Flag is disgusting.) It's a hit or miss when too many flavors are going on at once & we'd say this wasn't the very best nor did it taste as fresh as we'd expected - almost as if it was just frozen pizza thrown into the oven. The sour taste from the lime chicken dominated the entire dish & it just wasn't the perfect balance of ingredients.
