My son and I ventured out today and decided to check out a new spot. Zorbas Kitchen is located where my beloved Meatball Stoppe was formerly located. They serve up delicious homemade Mediterranean and Greek dishes. We started off with the Platter Zorbas which came with a sampling of 4 different appetizers. Tzatziki. Hummus, olives, taramosalata, spinach pie and pita. My son had the Greek Meatball platter and I chose the lamb skewer platter. Both were very good! Although some of the pieces of lamb was tough. We ended our meal with dessert - Greek Kataifi and Baklava Cheesecake (not pictured). We washed it down with delicious Greek sodas. It was all very good and we left happy! read more

I went to Greece last year and have not found a Greek restaurant until I walked into Zorbas. This mom and pop restaurant is the most genuine authentic Greek spot in Orlando. Yanis and his wife are the owners and they are serving others and cooking the meal. The food came out quick and was so fresh. It's clean and the menu is very versatile. We went here 3 times in two weeks and love it! My wife and I grew up outside Tarpon Springs, which has a large Greek Community, and Zorba's Kitchen brings us right back home. The lamb tasted really good, my family liked the pita bread. The salad was delicious. The Tzatziki sauce was really good, I felt like it was missing a small a kick though. I found the greek chicken souvlaki more tasty than the chicken gyros but both were good. The gyro was filling and I didn't even need fries to be full. The restaurant was well decorated with Greek hints like shells, and blue and white decoration. The staff was friendly and I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Very friendly staff and family like ambiance. Get there early if you want to eat in. My favorite bite of food was actually the rice. Great flavor and well seasoned. The rest of the food was okay for me but not something I consider heavy on the flavor. If you like mild food I think it's a safe place to go but I tend to like spicy or lots of flavor. The lamb gyro had a bit of bone but otherwise tasted like typical gyro and the chicken pita sandwich was a great size portion wise but not much flavor. The lemon potatoes were cooked well but not enough lemon flavor -- tasted like baked potatoes with tzatziki. The tzatziki lacked lemon and cucumber flavor and the feta was also underwhelming with flavor. I like the baklava cheesecake but my husband was disappointed it wasn't as good as others he has had. I recommend trying the platter whatever so you can get the rice! The staff are friendly too I may try again to see if that was just a bad night. read more

Was really looking forward to trying this place but I'm sorry charging people an almost 4% fee to pay for their food is insane. It is a business expense that businesses should cover and with the fee it is just cheaper to eat somewhere else. Sad. This place looks so good too but I just can't support squeezing more money out of us when we are already paying insane prices for everything as it is. Please reconsider this practice. Most people don't use cash anymore so credit is the primary payment method everywhere. So it is not a convenience for us to use a card it is a convenience for you to not have to count it or handle it. read more

Been hearing lots of good things about this place and finally was over on this side of town to try it. The place is in a small plaza and insise is the same, only a few tables inside so would definitely recommend getting it to go. I got the lamb gyro with greek potatoes, both had great flavor and were served piping hot. The gentlemen running the front counter was very nice and you could tell he was working very hard taking orders, food running and taking phone calls. Flavors were spectacular. Service was fast and extremely pleasant. Small but delighfuly dining area with Greek music at just the right volume to be in the background. Menu is simple and basic mediterrannean grill. We lucked out and came on Saturday when mousaka was on the menu. It was not filled with potatoes. The bechemel sauce was light and melted in my mouth, almost like a souffle. We have eaten in Athens and Astoria, Queens and the taste of this topped both. The rice that came with the gyro platter was also something special. The right mix of oregano and other ingredients, I guess. The feta, tomatoes, and olive oil in the salad was just perfect. Stopped here because we were driving home from the airport, were hungry, and it was convenient. We will be back without neediing an excuse. Only dissappointment is that the menu is so basic. I can only imagine how a leg of lamb or shrimp saganaki would taste when coming out of Zorba's kitchen. read more

Spectacular mom-and-pop shop on Underhill, so glad we decided to check them out. Dolmades were a perfect 10, and the platter is SO worth the deal.
