    Drive time

How should this experience be improved - have a driver that actually has a flow of information about the City and the sites being visited - rather than generic comments such as - to the right is a nice high end restaurant - end of statement. Or providing details about history, architecture or tidbits of information which can't be gleamed by not living in the City. Structure for implementation was flawed and the whole trip was rushed because the driver was behind schedule. Ten minutes to see the Capital - come on. I wanted to use a local company - not a national chain like Old Town Trolley - thought it would be a more intimate and engaging experience - it wasn't. I've been to DC 10 times and I could have given a better tour to our group - and in actuality, I did - filling in historical details which were not part of the tour. Tour group of 8 - waste of money. Save your money and go with a different tour group.

We had an outstanding Washington DC night tour with Ali. He promptly picked us up and went over the itinerary for our four hour night tour. His debt of knowledge and history was exceptional. He is celebrating 30 years of running tours. His tour includes a bonus video tour and history book he wrote emailed to each of us. He knew the history of every building and paved together stories with humor. He was really smart, kind and helpful. We drove around the National Mall as the sun was setting and spent time at the White House as well as the all the memorials in the National Mall. We had time to explore and take pictures and walk around. He even dropped us off at our hotels. He went above and beyond. We all agreed it was the BEST tour! You won't regret it.

Maybe I should give this a 2 Star but I want to make sure that you as the reader don not make a mistake and take this tour. Over the years I have been on 3 different tours. This one was by FAR the worst and the price is about the same for all three. We chose this tour because it picked up at our hotel (and because the bell man pushed us towards this one). Lloyd, our tour leader was the only positive. And he was only average at best! The bus absolutely sucked. Uncomfortable, noisy and had poor sightseeing abilities. When it picked us up I really thought it was our shuttle to the "real" bus!! The stops were so short I felt like I had to power walk each monument and now feel like I need to drive back to a few just to get a better look. To enjoy your sightseeing trip pick another company! I wish I would have did a better job of researching before I spent my $.

Being our first visit to D.C. we had walked all day looking at sites. We decided to take the night tour so we could see the sites we missed plus see them at night and relax. Lloyd our driver was very informative about all the sites we stopped at. He allowed us to get out and walk around to take photos. The van we were in had big windows and had cold air conditioning. At the end of the tour he even dropped us off at our hotel.

What a sham and the only blemish on DC trip. What a complete let down of a tour business. To start, we arrived early as we had pre-purchased our tickets online and they told us to get onto the shuttle after we made sure there was enough room for the 5 of us ($250 total). The first step (rusted and flimsy) onto the shuttle should have been out first indication of events to come. As we got in we noticed everyone sweating. The AC motor was running but not cooling. After I said something to the guide he said he would shut the door and that would help...it did not. The bus was filthy, old and not maintained well at all. The tour was supposed to start at 7:30pm and at 7:35 they started checking tickets and then selling tickets to those that had not not pre-purchased...wait what? Shouldn't that have been done prior to letting people on and the departure time??? So after sitting on this joke of a shuttle sweating our butts off we finally depart...20min after we were supposed to. First (and last) stop was the Capitol building where the guide spoke for about 10min and then said we had 10-15min to get off and take pictures. At this point our group of 5 decided that this was not what we had signed up for and decided not to continue. We approached the guide and told him we were very disappointed in our experience and wanted a refund. He refused and said that we could call the number on the bus if we wanted. We called the number, which happened to be the driver on the other bus, and explained the situation. Again, no offer to refund only that we could take another tour on a different bus. They all but admitted the shuttle we were on was not up to par. We ended up using Uber to take in some of the monuments at night and ended up running into both of the companies buses later. I spoke to both of them explaining how poorly they had handled the situation. They flat out accused another member of our group for causing the problem. Needless to say that we wasted $250 with this group. Save your money and either find a more reputable company or use Uber/Lyft to checkout the sights. Stay far, far away from this sham of a company. This was he only blemish to an otherwise awesome weekend in the Capitol city.

The other reviews sre very unfair. The tour is reasonably priced and the guide was extremely accommodating and amusing. The guide was extremely knowledgeable of all the major sites. Tje bus was comfortable and spacious.

Alli was very knowledgable. Just had a difficult time understanding him. However, we did enjoy the night tour.

We are local to the area and love history, spooky stories and corny jokes so for us this is a fun date :-). The tour began at the Old Stone House where we were checked in and divided into two groups of about 18 people each. Everyone in our group was from out of town except us and our amazing tour guide Sonia. She effortlessly led us from site to site while allowing time for questions and photos. She also made sure our group stayed together and safely crossed the streets. I was concerned that it would be hard to hear given the traffic and Saturday night usual cacophony that is Georgetown but that generally wasn't a problem. We didn't see any ghosts - DRAT! But we did have fun and learn some history along the way. We would recommend this tour company and this particular tour.

While he was nice, he didn't have a lot to add off the track I pretty sure he had memorized. I actually feel like I heard most about which monuments had the best restrooms than much of anything else (we never asked about bathroom situations). Would I book this again, no. Here is what I learned, you still walk a fair amount into these monuments from where they drop you in the golf cart vs. the people who are on the bikes and scooters. If you're really looking for the least amount of walking and able to operate those that would save you time and money. Overall, there was no value for the price tag for us and the guide kind of ruined the experience.

Nathan, our tour guide was so friendly, personable and most important knowledgeable without feeling like we were in a classroom being lectured. He gave us plenty of time at all the sites. He even dropped us off at a Metro station after the tour and told us how to get to where we wanted to go, Postal Museum. Dropped us at Gallery Place and took the red line two stops to Union Station and the museum was right next door! Just wanted to make sure Nathan was acknowledged for his premiere service and I wanted to let you know how much my sister and I enjoyed the tour and set up our Saturday for a great day. We were on the first tour of the day to see where everything was and then spent the rest of the day going back to those places we wanted to see more of. And there were only 4 of us on the tour! THAT has never happened to me. A microphone for the tour guide and speaker wouuld be helpful if you are sitting further back in the golf cart. But overall. . . a 10 out of 10!
