Lincoln Memorial with our guide Rob

I can't thank Rob enough in how much his YouTube videos and his recent guided tour has made our family trip to DC such an amazing and successful experience that we will always cherish. My family and I don't usually like to travel outside our comfort zone and so was a little hesitant to travel to Washington DC, but we felt a little more confident once we binged some of his YouTube hacks and signed up for one of his guided tours. We were pleasantly surprised and star struck when we found out he was actually our guide for the Trivia Tour. He has such a down to earth and friendly personality. It's amazing to me at how much facts and knowledge he has about American history and of Washington DC. I highly recommend taking the Trivia Tour because you will learn so much, and at the same time, you will get your exercise in.

My husband found out about Rob's tours through YouTube. At first I was a little skeptical (as one should be for finding things on YouTube) but once I watch a few of his videos I could see why my husband thought it was a good idea to book him as our tour guide! The monuments tour at night was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We both learned so much about the history of the monuments not to mentions the nightly views were amazing. Rob was friendly, charismatic, approachable and easy to talk to. We walked about 3 miles (good pace) so make sure you wear tennis shoes...really, sandals or flats won't do (he mentions this in one of his videos as well). Specially because if you picked the night tour more than likely you already did a lot of walking during the day so you will be *tired*. We are so glad we chose to do this tour we HIGHLY recommend it!!!

This was our first family trip to Washington DC. My parents, sister, and I spent a couple of days in DC before heading over to Virginia for a family get together. While researching about DC, my mom sent me a YouTube video of Rob from Trip Hacks DC. I ended up watching most of his videos, and decided to contact him about a private tour through their website. Originally, we wanted to check out his Monuments at Twilight Tour, but we ended up booking the Cherry Blossom Bonanza Tour instead. When my family and I headed over to the meeting spot at the Jefferson Memorial using the DC Circulator, we hit the crazy DC rush hour traffic. At that time the Nationals game had ended, it was Spring Break, and people were heading back home from work. We ended up getting off at the Washington Monument and walked to the Jefferson Memorial. I was able to contact Rob to let him know of our delay, and he was gracious enough to wait for us. The private tour was definitely worth it. Rob was able to bring the monuments to life for us. We learned a lot and he was able to answer many of our questions. He was a good resource for where to take good photos for your social media outlets. Since we weren't able to cover all the monuments during our tour, he was kind enough to show us where to go next on our own. Rob is a true professional. If you're ever in Washington DC, I recommend that you check out Trip Hacks DC for one of their private tours.

I never take the time to leave reviews but I was so happy with this tour that I wanted to leave a few words and some pictures of the tour. Sam was our tour guide on the Monumental Trivia at Twilight. He done a great job if you are considering a tour you will not regret this one.

We had a wonderful time on the DC tour with Rob. We decided to do the evening private tour. We have a teen and a 8 year old. This tour was perfect for us because the girls could ask questions when they wanted instead of in a large group. Our youngest hasn't stopped talking about the tour and I was amazing at how much information she remembered from the tour. I highly recommend Rob and his tours of DC. Great evening in DC learning about our Nation's History

The twilight monument tour with Rob was 3 hours of insightful trivia about the monuments around the National Mall. Rob is a great host, throwing in a good joke in with the fun facts. Highly recommended for those with comfortable shoes and take a water bottle!

The Monuments at Night Trivia Tour was our first tour when my family of 3 landed in DC. Even though it was a super hot July night, Rob prepared us with a detailed email before the tour so we came prepared with plenty of water. Rob's tour was super interesting and incredibly knowledgeable. I've seen most of the monuments in the past, but his trivia was insightful and challenging. Would definitely recommend taking any of his tours if you're interested in getting to know a full scope of history, symbolism and appreciation of all the monuments. It makes a difference to have an understanding of the impact and historical significance of what each monument represents and is born from. Next time we're in DC, will absolutely try another tour!!

Since I live in northern Virginia, I have been able to take many tours of Arlington Cemetery by many companies, but this tour was completely unique. Brenda, our tour guide, did an amazing job of explaining the deep connection of Arlington Cemetery to World War I, the birth of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, why the Tomb is guarded, 24-7, General Robert Pershing, and it was all fantastic, but she also showed us the Gravesite of James Reese Europe, the African American pre-Jazz great who fought for and was injured with the Fighting 369th, nicknamed the Harlem Hellcats. Possible the most amazing story was that of fellow Fighting 369th member Henry Johnson who single handedly took on 20 German Fighters and won, saving the life of his partner who had been injured. I highly recommend this tour, even if you have already gone on tours of Arlington Cemetery. It will show you a side of our military history that most tours miss!

My gut feeling was spot on. What a FANTASTIC tour!! We were assigned Tony and Cheikh (pronounced "Shake") and they were just incredible and both--together--toured my family around Washington DC like absolute professionals. Years in the business, each of them, we saw and experienced the District of Columbia in a very nice black SUV--super clean and comfortable. We toured in the evening, and I'd say that the words "Paris on the Potomac" are not used in vein. This city is absolutely spectacular at night--but what made it even better was Tony and Cheikh. We would not have been anywhere near as efficient nor as well informed as we were this evening without them. We found ourselves at every single stop asking questions along our tour. Why this? What's that? When did so and so happen? What is the significance? What's that over there? And so many more. Frankly, Tony was probably tired of it--but my real sense is that he enjoyed it too! Here's the difference with PTW--your tour guide stays with you answering all your inquisitive questions and your driver stays with the car and drives up to meet you whenever and wherever the tour guide shares with him to be. Walk into one side of a memorial, come out another--no problem. You may think only one person can handle both tasks--but that would be an incorrect assumption. Not here in DC--just too much to see and do. Do yourself a favor and book with PTW--and you'll be forever grateful for the totally inclusive and immersive experience in our nation's Capitol. It was simply unbelievable for us. Thanks to Cheikh, Tony, Bill & Team PTW.

While he was nice, he didn't have a lot to add off the track I pretty sure he had memorized. I actually feel like I heard most about which monuments had the best restrooms than much of anything else (we never asked about bathroom situations). Would I book this again, no. Here is what I learned, you still walk a fair amount into these monuments from where they drop you in the golf cart vs. the people who are on the bikes and scooters. If you're really looking for the least amount of walking and able to operate those that would save you time and money. Overall, there was no value for the price tag for us and the guide kind of ruined the experience.

Dropped us at Gallery Place and took the red line two stops to Union Station and the museum was right next door! Just wanted to make sure Nathan was acknowledged for his premiere service and I wanted to let you know how much my sister and I enjoyed the tour and set up our Saturday for a great day.
